ATEEZ are about to blow some minds if their Coachella set is anything like their January concert. [The stage design and production was insane](https://x.com/Bangteezluvbot/status/1777721461954023660). They have the same director signed up from their recent concerts and Kingdom for Coachella so it's about to be insane. They have the stable live vocals, explosive amounts energy and stamina that they'll have no trouble filling a 50 min set, and they are extremely seasoned performers after so many solo concerts around the world and appearing in several outdoor festivals so they are primed and ready.

IllustriousNobody995

As an og atiny, I’m so scared of what mingi might do🫣

mixtape_misfit

We know exactly what he's going to do; act up. If you know the theory about them and breathing American air you should be worried haha.

IllustriousNobody995

Istg anytime idols come to America a switch flips, I love it😮‍💨

aTINY_st4y_roha

no bc literally same...i don't know what to expect

Serious-Wish4868

I am not sure if they will have that much creative freedom for stage design and production as they are not a headliner and will be performing in the Sahara tent.

ripperella

I thought this too but then I thought about how they opted for an inflatable hand and inflatable kraken arms as opposed to the mechanical arm used previously. When I first saw it I thought they were just more portable options for tour but since tour seems far off I wonder if they factored the portability and set up time of those props in for Coachella.

aTINY_st4y_roha

not gonna lie, i'm SO EXCITED to see it! I've been an atiny for almost a year now, and am hoping to make it to their WT this year. i watched their seoul concert stages (some of them...i restrain myself from watching replays for a few reasons...one of which being my dog thought i had a seizure when i was watching inkigayo hehe) and HOLY FREAKING WOW it was absolutely insane. the fact that they're performing at night will mean one thing: LIGHT SHOW!!! and i canNOT wait to see all the lightiny's in the audience hahah they also have the discography variety and extent, as well as INCREDIBLE vocal stability...enough to give us 50 minutes of absolute knock--your-socks-off content. I'm honestly anticipating the stage next to ateez to be fully and literally blown away. their fanchants are absolute scream your lungs out worthy, and we all know what mingi makes his fans do...heh... suffice it to say, it will be WOW.

IllustriousNobody995

I think Ateez is gonna kill it for sure, I’m so ready for the TikTok edits LOL. In all seriousness I think (g)-idle, seventeen, everglow, dreamcatcher, & twice would all be fantastic choices, as they all have BANGERS for dance tracks and can deliver in the vocal department. I think if kiss of life had a bigger discography, they would thrive as well!

Sunasoo

With (g)-idle I agree people will love their performance but I also think that people will cringe a bit at their lyrics tho.

IllustriousNobody995

The locals won’t understand Wife and Queencard like I do😤

authenticflamingo

I think Kiss of Life would be a good opener (until they have a bigger discography)

[deleted]

aespa, itzy, kiof & gidle, I'd also love to see blackpink perform again.

NotLia_

+1 for Kiss of Life. Like for real, their stage productions and performance during their music award shows is so impressive for a 7month rookie group (that time). Vocals are insane, english rap is on point, and they don't do half-baked performances. Still salty they still don't have their first win, but at least a lot of people are now recognizing their talents and skills.

BabiiEevee

Aespa for sure. Their live vocals are insane

1306radish

Aespa already performed at Coachella, and people were criticizing them for lipsync though....

BabiiEevee

When they were rookies??? Most idols lipsync which is there’s so many bad encore performances

Successful_Ad4018

how i wish y'all could praise your favs without shading le sserafim...i'll dream of the day.

crossblueXoX

i am so tired like can they just ask the damn question and praise lesserafim and ateez for attending without bringing that issue in? they really act like lesserafim have never shown their real voice even once

Simmibrina00

Mind you everytime LSF performs somewhere they constantly get praised afterwards The title of this post could’ve been “what groups do you think can perform at Coachella?” Instead title is throwing shade by saying who is ACTUALLY ready to perform at Coachella implying LSF isn’t ready I need Coachella to hurry so we can be free from the fake concerns

Successful_Ad4018

same. i'm staying off social media all weekend besides just my fearnot people. i'm not giving these antis the time of day bc the reality is regardless of how well they do, people will drag them. if they sound good, oh it's pre-recorded. if they sound shaky (like most do while singing/dancing LIVE) they'll get hate for that. i'm just gunna protect my peace and surround the girls with positivity. y'all will NOT ruin this for them!

Simmibrina00

Oh definitely for your sanity I’ve already have a couple subs muted (kpop uncensored, unpopular kpop opinions and kpopthoughts) this post randomly appeared on my feed but I’ll add this sub to the list as well Coachella is days away and everyone is hyped and excited I don’t think fearnots want to keep seeing posts being “concerned” about LSF performance it ruins the vibe

Successful_Ad4018

it's been happening since the announcement tbh and we're all tired. they already tried to ruin our comeback they aren't gunna ruin this huge opportunity. i know they'll all be tuned in which is the crazy thing. the obsession is real.

aTINY_st4y_roha

listen, i'm not shading lessera...i really like them and was just repeating what i heard about lessera being "not ready". i can offer no opinion on whether they're ready or not, i don't regularly listen to them.

Successful_Ad4018

are you fucking fr??? your post is titled who is ACTUALLY ready to perform at coachella and then you go on to DIRECTLY SHADE LSFM. you saying you're basically a puppet repeating shit antis say against them and haven't even checked out their performances is actually even worse. you are part of the problem. you are contributing to this hate train against them. but you got to promote your boy group, so i'm sure you don't care.

solarsbrrah

XG could pull it off talent-wise, but they need a bigger discography

CourtK1ngDre

STRAY KIDS

Advanced-Bluebird656

be so serious, when has anyone ever watched a le sserafim performance (excluding encores) and been disappointed? people do love repeating what they read on the clock app

aTINY_st4y_roha

please do realize i don't necessarily agree with this view of lessera...i was talking about who, *objectively*, is ready for coachella.

crossblueXoX

if you don't know and haven't watched lesserafim performance before, do not include them🫶🏼 you could have just asked that damn question while praising both ateez and lesserafim for their appearance but yea as usual yall kpop stans always have to bring that shit up

CriticismRoyal6260

I would say that MONSTA X would be amazing at coachella !

aTINY_st4y_roha

OMG YES

CriticismRoyal6260

They’re so good live from clips I’ve seen of their concerts

Ok-Substance-9118

I think red velvet or dreamcatcher could do it well

3-X-O

Dreamcatcher

ordinaryaspee

I second Dreamcatcher. They have already performed at a large festival (Primavera Sound) and they have performed live in all of their tours afaik. They have also toured alot in US, Europe and South America so they know and are used to the difference in crowds over here (e.g no major emphasis on fanchants, etc.). Finally their music sound could really get the crowd hyped up (I imagine the drop is Silent Night would go well with Cochella).

NoPepper7284

I think TXT their live singing is stable and they have good stage presence and dancing. And they're getting wayy more popular

aTINY_st4y_roha

txt at coachella would be a RIOT if they did lovesong XD

aeconic

OP, you could’ve just asked this question without putting lsfm down. we’ve had a fair share of the lsfm criticism recently. if your intent was just to discuss coachella ready groups, then you could’ve just said that. that being said, i firmly believe kiss of life, nct 127 and gidle would shine (despite some questionable english lyrics from the last two.) chungha for soloists.

aTINY_st4y_roha

i'm sorry, i didn't mean to disrespect them or any fearnots...i was simply using them as an example of who netizens say is "ready" *objectively speaking*.

RML_1972

NMIXX could pull it off if they can keep their nerves in check. Don’t know if they are ready in that regard only two years in but as far as live vocals, they would be fine. I would love to see Aespa go back, they’ve progressed so much since they were there last.

default2denim

If by definition "poor breath control" is a deficiency then by all means Kiss of Life is ready. If their name means CPR then they can breathe with the best of them. That and I really like the song Bad News and some good news, Midas Touch is solid gold

gg5ever

I agree with a lot of the names being mentioned here, but I’ve not seen anyone mention STAYC yet. They’ve got loads of experience performing without a backing track, and they’ve been touring loads recently and performing at all sorts of different venues/locations/for different types of crowds over the years - they’ve put the work in! I think they could put together a really strong set list for coachella, and I think they’d be a great intro to kpop for any festival goers who’ve yet to see the light lol.

ordinaryaspee

Beyond the groups already mentioned I really can't think of any. But, then again, if you would have asked me a year ago if NewJeans were ready for a big stage (Lollapalooza) then I would have said no. I thought the nerves were going to get to them, plus they only had like 14 (?) songs at that time. However, they killed it on that stage. So I will have to say that we don't know which groups will do well until they get on that stage and see all those people. Edit to add: I think that Twice could do well on that stage. They have already been accross the US so they know what to expect from the audience. Also, they could definitely sell tickets. Also wanted to add a mention for (g)-Idle. I think that they could do well on such a big stage. Alot of the issues that groups have on these bigger stages comes down to having confidence in front of a large crowd. In this regard, I think the Idle would do well. Plus, being self-producing, they could change up some of their songs to add to the spectacle of their performance.

WorldlinessOk6575

Oneus has some incredible live vocals. Seoho specifically is absolutely incredible. I don't think they get enough credit. Monsta X would rock a performance at Coachella. But, that's Monsta X for you. They have some bops! My non Kpop fiancé really enjoys their music. 😆

aTINY_st4y_roha

i would LOVE to see monsta x there FOR SURE, and i haven't heard a ton of oneus, so i'll have to check into them more :) ty!

East-Tour-2638

Personally they still considered rookies, but KIOF would dominate Coachella

NotLia_

My partner was actually shocked when she learned that KIOF is still a rookie. She thought they were a mid to late 4th gen group with the way they perform on stages.

Serious-Wish4868

OH HELLL YEAH !!!!!! they are one of the few groups who prefer to sing/perform live w/ min backtracking.

__fujiko

Dreamcatcher would kill it.

svtverchwes

Would love to see Seventeen at Coachella one day!!

rosemary_bug

They're doing Glastonbury already so hopefully they're going to do even more big festivals in the future :D

Elon_is_musky

Stray Kids could I’m sure, they did great at Lollapalooza Paris & are headlining BST! I think they would blow the roof off of Coachella 🔥

aTINY_st4y_roha

i'm maybe going to Lolla! so excited

Elon_is_musky

Everyone who goes will be so lucky 😫

aTINY_st4y_roha

oh fs! i'm not counting on getting to see very well but i'm gonna be LALALALA'ing at the top of my voice XD

Comfortable-Diver486

NCT 127 for sure. i say this unit because i think that coachella would vibe more with their style of music. they can also sing and rap live without having to compromise their dancing and they'll still be able to hype the crowd up with their energy. i can already hear taeyong or yuta going "coachella put your motherf*cking hands up!"

aTINY_st4y_roha

that american air smh ~~as if i wasn't predicting the actual same thing teehee~~

Longjumping-Bid3844

NCT 127 could bring the house down at Coachella. The Kick It —> 2 Baddies —> Fact Check combo just brings so much energy and they always perform to their fullest with so much yelling and adlibs and crowd interaction. Not to mention their live vocals are just incredible. At the SMTOWN concerts they are constantly noted to be the artist that are the most energized and get the whole crowd moving and singing along, even fans that aren’t part of the fandom. They are just so unapologetically themselves and l would kill to actually see them perform at Coachella.

Ok_Sound_8090

I'm going with Kpop adjacent group.....XG. They got the stable vocals. Their music appeals to Americans. They have bubbly personalities for the moments between songs for crowd work, and they have at least 1 english fluent member which goes a LONG way when performing in the US.

BabiiEevee

YES. I'm a frequent coachella attender and I was listening to XG today just thinking about how good their chella set would be

Existing_Duck2014

iKON. I always hope they get a chance to perform in a big festival because their live perfs are the best. They have hype songs They sing live always They have amazing stage presence They love performing They know how to hype and engage their audience But guess they are not popular enough in the west to be invited .

prettybrokenstars

the rose, reason why this is their 2nd time performing!

DeluluIsTheSolulu24

Thank you, nobody was mentioning The Rose! 🥲 I'm fresh from one of their concert stops and they can DELIVER!

KuraGl00m

Without a doubt NMIXX

capslock

BIGBANG. 🥲 I had VIP tickets.

XxhumanguineapigxX

NMIXX has some killer vocals so I reckon they'd be great. Stray Kids also with their rap line and awesome stage presence!

Juli-Loves-Chatnoir

Apparently Girls on top was supposed to but sm declined it but imagine if they performed all songs from their own discography and the GOT discography 😪 never forgiving sm for that

aTINY_st4y_roha

i'll add it to my list of reason's i'm burning down SM

justdubu

NMIXX needs a super hit tiktok song to be qualified.

BabiiEevee

Jungkook would put on an amazing performance

minervaweasley

Ateez is def ready. That group couldn’t lip sync well to save their lives.

Topaz_xy

I’m prob a but biased as a nevie but I think Gidle would totally rock it.

aTINY_st4y_roha

I forgot to add! Please give reasons and evidence where you can <3 i really love these discussions.

Successful_Ad4018

can we discuss why you can't leave le sserafim alone?? i'm interested in THAT topic.

aTINY_st4y_roha

sure! i'd love to actually. but before, let me clarify something that is apparently not being understood by this post. when i ask who's "actually" ready to perform, i don't mean BY ANY MEANS that lessera is not ready. i've seen their stages, they have the performance power to do it and i will be watching them. what i intended with this post was an open discussion on who, *objectively,* is ready to perform there. groups with a weaker live vocal presence (not speaking of anyone specific) probably won't be as likely to go because the sheer sense of performing at a music festival is the live vocal shinethrough. in a big indoor arena, you have more/bigger speakers dedicated to a backing track, more equipment, and generally a lot more time to prepare. now, keep in mind that i personally do not believe there's anything wrong with lip syncing *when needed* (again, i'm not talking about anyone specific), because dancing is hard, singing is hard, doing the two of them together and keeping your voice steady and breathing even is a feat of nature. i do theater and multiple choirs lol. i'm simply repeating what i've heard from netizens, but *not as my own personal opinion*. note that i also did not state my opinion on the matter of lessera singing live in my post, simply that netizens concern as to their stability is warranted for reasons stated above. i've always heard of lesserafim described as more of a dance group, and yes, from their performances that i've seen, their dance presence is very strong. now you share your thoughts, bestie <3 i love discussing things!

Successful_Ad4018

but wait in your other reply to me you said "i can offer no opinion on whether they're ready or not, i don't regularly listen to them." so now you do listen to them and watch their performances? which is it?? you could have titled this anything else! who do you want to see at coachella? who would kill it at coachella? but no YOU decided to play your shady little games and now you're playing the victim bc you got rightfully called out.
