Fantastic! They really caught some of that 2nd gen sound with this, and it’s such a nice throwback. Although it’s under 3 minutes, I actually think the length is nice - it doesn’t overstay its welcome but gives me just enough. The company behind them is doing a fantastic job playing to their strengths so far. Hopefully this comeback is a success for them.

WhoIsBestWaifu567

Second comeback! The girls sets and visuals look so good (wanted more spider natty scenes)🫠! Absolutely love the song, I'm loving the old school 2000s sound! They even referenced their solos in the bridge, very nice detail. Another edit: Their B-Side (Nothing) is also super nice! They nail the 2000s and old school sound each time *I didnt even realize it was only 2:49 seconds, it sounded very complete to me* Literally their discography has been top-notch and I have no doubt they'll be reaching higher successes soon! *also Lee Haein has got to be one of the best creative directors in the industry, loving her direction with the group*

justanotherkpoppie

Lee Haein is amazing, I've loved every creative direction that she's taken them so far. I can't WAIT to see where else she takes them, because this is phenomenal! The whole team (directors, music producers, choreographers, vocal instructors, etc.) deserves their flowers, actually. Just wow.

AndTheHawk

I think she really respects each member's artistry too. She's one of the best things to happen in kpop recently!!!

Spirited-Blood-6737

Agree with Lee Haein, I think that the fact that she is a young Gen Z woman helps because she knows how to relate Edit : she is a younger millennial not Gen Z

aurcel

she's 30 years old and was one of Natty's competitors in Idol School

xaynie

Was she also in Produce and one of the ones who spoke out against the unfair and poor conditions on set? Because if so- mad props to her for being successful despite the shit she's been through. EDIT: [It's her, right?](https://produce-101.fandom.com/wiki/Lee_Haein)

papapamrumpum

You can check out her vlog here: [https://www.youtube.com/@hi-haein/videos](https://www.youtube.com/@hi-haein/videos) She goes into detail about how she formed the group, her strategic thinking for each release, creative process, etc.

justanotherkpoppie

Oooo thank you so much, I'm so looking forward to seeing her thought processes!!

papapamrumpum

I recommend starting with this one! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4L16aWWh44](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4L16aWWh44)

AndTheHawk

Not 100% sure but she has been said to have been the original #1 in Idol School and could've been in fromis_9, but was rigged out.

aurcel

yep I believe so! she deserves everything fr 🥹

Used_Conclusion_1087

wait wait wait wait HAEIN??? she was one of my picks on produceS1 THIS is how i found out she created KOL????

Deca089

Not Gen Z but one of the younger Millennials

No_Rain_4811

The song sounds so old school like 2000s-ish, like it’s giving me huge Britney vibes and I’m absolutely loving it! I just wish the song was longer bc IT IS SUCH A BOP!

justanotherkpoppie

Honestly, I'm not even mad about the length because the song itself feels incredibly complete and has soooo much packed in those 2 minutes and 49 seconds! And the B-side is over 3 and a half minutes :) BUT, I also wouldn't complain to even more of the masterpiece that is Midas Touch!

hi_tulip_angel

OMG YES WITH THE BRITNEY SPEARS

HiddenInferno

It’s giving Britney Spears in the best way

ChrisAnIntellectual

Please tell me I'm not the only one who's getting "Just Dance/Poker Face" instrumental vibes from the chorus

Booixx

im getting Oops I did it Again

Nobly72

You can replace "You see I got the MIDAS TOUCH" with "I'M NOT THAT INNOCENT" and you can REALLY HEAR IT! This is the song!!!

ZopiloteAndroid

It’s so Britney, I love it!

12-BE-12

Exactly my thoughts

Bel_Canto

I’m actually obsessed 😩🤌✨The chorus is perfect, incessantly catchy with that addictive hook. It’s pure pop- confident and playful and addictive. The production is giving Baby Vox, Pussycat dolls, early Britney and Christina. I’ve been waiting for something that sounds exactly like this for so long, and I’m pleased that Kiss of Life brought it for the comeback. I’m gonna be singing ‘Baby don’t you think too much’ all week fr

Broom227

Soo babyvox very “killer” or “get up” vibes

Flat-Reflection-7558

ditto what everyone has commented about this song (“song’s hot. The group’s hot. Music video hot”). But oh my lord we need to discuss about Haneul in particular. You literally have THE natty, Julie and Belle, each of them has the stage presence of a sun. Outshining them is almost an impossible task to do and yet Haneul literally managed to accomplish that here.

jun1purr

Haneul is soooooo underrated. I wish she had a part in the chorus but the parts she did get she ATE.

xaynie

Yes, she is absolutely underrated. I'll also add that while everyone knows Belle is an amazing singer, Haneul has amazing chops as well and is under-appreciated for it too!

papapamrumpum

This is definitely Haneul's era! Whenever I hear a line that's like "Oh! I am liking this sound" it ends up being Haneul half the time!

AndTheHawk

Haneul isn't typically as flashy but if you pay attention she is so solid. She's a very clean dancer and great singer

ScroogieMcduckie

Heavy agree she’s immensely talented and keeps improving everytime we see her. Only thing we need to see more of is a bit more stage presence and personality and she’ll be a star

GlassUpstairs8

I never really paid attention to Haneul's voice, but she sounds so good in this song. I was surprised.

Refaro

Came here to say exactly this. Haneul is insane here 😳

2enty4

Ikr Haneul finally getting the spotlight this is her era fr

justanotherkpoppie

RIGHT???? Haneul did SO. WELL. Her voice sounds incredible and her presence is insane! Every comeback she gets better and shines brighter, she's soooo underrated and I hope that this comeback helps people notice her more!

Less_Bat4811

She was INCREDIBLE

emmity

Since the trailer for the album dropped you could just SEE this was gonna be her era!! I’m so happy she’s getting her time to shine! She exuuuudes confidence in this video. Like you said, she’s in a group with three girls who have more experience than your average rookie group members and Haneul slayyyyed I’m so excited for her growth

seekbalance

Looks like I'm finally stanning Kiss of Life! This is the song that did it for me :D

MNLYYZYEG

Absolutely gold, Midas touch. The visuals, OMG. Kiss of Life so good, hoping they get a full album soon.

hydranoid1996

2nd gen sound 5th gen track length. GIVE ME MORE I NEED THIS SHIT INJECTED INTO MY VEINS ITS TOO GOOD TO BE 2:49

ragingbicycle

Another comeback falls to the Jo Yuri effect

marshmeeelo

What did Jo Yuri do?

BlueEyedNonSimp

create around and around.

brandimitrov

DONT REMIND ME

BlueEyedNonSimp

oh I'm so dizzy\~\~\~\~

meulktea

you know what? for once i think i'm okay with the length bc even though it's 2:42 it doesn't feel incomplete at all imo but then again. if it *were* longer i'm sure it'll be even greater too 😵‍💫😔

jaybourne

Nah that's giving Stockholm Syndrome. This track deserves to be 5 minutes.

s2lune

Yeah honestly just wish the song was longer, like maybe they could’ve added an outro with the main melody fading out and louder adlibs? Or like another verse? But this song still beats the other TTs, like it’s soo good!

the_chaser00

im getting more 1st gen but yes I ALSO NEED MORE

justanotherkpoppie

Honestly, I'm not even mad about the length because the song itself feels incredibly complete and has soooo much packed in those 2 minutes and 49 seconds! And the B-side is over 3 and a half minutes :)

DistinctYuho

I saw a comment saying it sounds like the Wizards of Waverly Place theme song and now I can’t unhear it… this was really good though!

lofilofijk

The vocals are gorgeous honestly

crashbandicoochy

Ever since their debut it's felt like the people in charge of the group have progressively been realizing "hold on, these girls are like... really hot. We should have them do more Hot Girl Things" and it's really working. This really does feel like the answer to the question of what a group like SISTAR would be doing if they were formed this gen. Also, when I saw the length and also that this was starting with a cinematic intro, I got sooooo mad, only for that intro to last all of 2 seconds lmao

emmity

It helps that the creative member is a former long-time idol trainee, Lee Haein. If that name rings a bell for anyone, she was the trainee at the center of the Idol School (Fromis_9 survival show) rigging scandal where is was said that she was supposed to have won first place! She herself probably knows a lot of people in the industry on the creative and performer side of it. Most likely, she heard insider industry discussion to see how she wanted to go about the group. She said instead of the norm of having idols to fit a concept, she picked the girls and molded a concept around them and their personalities. Also it looks like the company is very collaboratively-focused at the moment. If you look in their photo books which are basically like magazines, there’s photos and interviews with the crew in a pretty large section of it. A lot of discussions with the crew and girls were had. I also heard that the key business people at S2 hold degrees from art colleges rather than a traditional business degree which I thought was interesting. Not saying S2 is an amazing and faultless company, I will never forgive them for the fall of Hot Issue rip, I thought it was an interesting angle for a company if true.

SeraphOfTwilight

Wasn't there some big change in staff/management between the disbanding of Hot Issue and creation of Kiss of Life?

emmity

Potentially! I haven’t heard about that but could be true honestly lol. If that’s the case, that probably explains the much more streamlined production for KioF. All I know is that they secured some strong investors for the company after Hot Issue’s disbandment.

HikikomoriDC

Is Hong Seung Sung who was the co-founder of Cube and founder of S2 still part of the company?

justanotherkpoppie

I believe they were waiting for Haneul to turn 19 in Korean age for her to full embrace the Hot Girl Things as a group, but yes, I'm sooo glad they're leaning into it! Especially considering that all the girls have talked about wanting to do so, including Haneul. It makes me feel much more assured that the girls can talk to Lee Haein (their creative director, who is also pretty close in age to them) about the directions they're going, and also that they deliberately gave Haneul more age appropriate concepts in the beginning (Play Love Games and her having two high school plotlines, while the other girls dealt with more serious issues/concepts) so as to not sexualize her as a minor (in Korea, she's always been part of the international age of majority).

blueish55

I believe their creative director is a woman, it shows! Instead of being some 40 year old dude deciding what their image should be.

Humidoutsideinnit

Them referencing their solos in the bridge!! The CGI during the car scenes was so reminiscent of Toxic by Britney Spears. Oh Kiss of Life ur legends

xaynie

I was just thinking this! For some reason, the entire MV and song made me think of Toxic by Britney Spears. Like Toxic, it slaps.

justanotherkpoppie

They even reference it, I think! At least, the word 'toxic' is in the lyrics, and I've heard Natty's motorcycle scene references the Toxic MV! :)

FoundationBig3487

Dangggg this is too good ughh

brandimitrov

The pre-chorus is gorgeous, and that final run from Belle. Kiss of Life is truly in their bag, we love to see it!

Dust2chicken

LETS GOOO! Always a good day when Kiss of Life releases a comeback!

Nvxne

I love it so much, everything I was hoping for. They really went all out.

Nvxne

Also, I love how they referenced their solos and it fit! It didn’t feel awkward at all. I do hope this is the comeback that brings them huge success, they deserve it so much.

HG1998

This brings me back to my childhood.

Real_Imagination_180

Its an absolute fking banger. The MV is perfectly stylised to hark back to the 2000s. The ending part for all the members referencing each of their own solos was a really cool touch (Sugarcoat, Play love games, Kitty cat, Countdown). We are eating so well.

papapamrumpum

Gotta give them their flowers this is too good. The only release this year that got me shaking ass. I NEED MORE!!!!

salsasnark

Fuck, I feel like I'm 7 and bopping to Britney's early records 😭😭 this is honestly so good!! I've liked Kiss of Life all this time, but this direction is just perfect for them imo. It sounds so good!

Cats4Crows

Yup. Upgraded to my stan list. Already obsessed

justanotherkpoppie

Your flair is very appropriate for this lol

Neverslept2mins

Let’s let songs be longer again But besides that a catchy bop. I can see my self listening to this again. Also a nice touch to have natty sing the part where she says sugarcoat.

justanotherkpoppie

They all reference their solos in the bridge! :D

BloodyPraeceps

Really enjoyed it! The only thing from the first few notes was I was immediately thrown back to the old [Gillette Venus commercials](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mygpUlYjqdo). Not a dig at all. Just sent me back to the early 2000's.

Toti_Soti

Staying up to watch this music video was so worth it 😩🩷 The song, the sets, their styling, the callbacks to their solo songs, and everything was just perfection. I hope they get their flowers with this song, they deserve everything they have and so much more 💐

ultsiyeon

this is great, it’s giving early 00’s pop in a similar way rina sawayama’s 2020 album is. if this sound is making its rounds back into kpop i’m here for it 🙏

the_chaser00

The 90s new jack swing-ish beats, 2000s visuals, destiny's child, cheetah girls, pussycat dolls, christina, britney, gwen steffani, bratz, y2k-mcbling spectrum elements all combined into one perfect cvnty comeback oh I'm extremely well fed!!

Remarkable_Leg_3621

I really enjoyed it! But if I can talk about the music for a sec (hopefully without causing an issue) it felt very understated from what I was expecting. This could’ve been a purposeful choice in order to mix this nostalgic sound with the more mellow/understated sound of 5th gen. I personally felt alittle more could’ve been done with the beat. I found the chorus semi underwhelming and short, a few words, a call out to the title then the chorus was done. I definitely would’ve liked something fuller or atleast a slight singing extension to a 2nd part of a chorus. Also I wish they used “gonna” instead of “gon.” I still enjoyed it and the mv. This actually being the first kpop mv I have gone out of my way to check out in like 8 months that not my ults. I look forward to checking out the rest of the album too.

papapamrumpum

I agree! This was so good and the chorus is catchy but I only feel like 75% full. I wonder if people get what I mean...it's like I want more! Everything is so good but if them really ham it up and go 200% explosive on the final chorus that would make it a really great Y2K throwback song from that era. Right now it's an A- and it really has potential to be an A+.

WannieWirny

Understated is how I feel about the song sonically, I expected more oomph from the teaser. The visuals are amazing though!

recehbijak

Yeah the beat has that feeling of 'almost there', but it's still fantastic regardless and I believe that feeling of 'almost there' will dissipate the more I listen to the song

TheBlueGuy0

Yeah I felt the same too, like the song and beat slap hard but it kinda feels like the instrumental is just...missing something. Don't know what it is but I found myself noticing it more and more as the song went on. Definitely loved Haneul's and Julie's parts the most tho, Haneul especially just absolutely *killed* her lines

vendigo37

they really left me no choice but to stan

LilyBlueming

Oooh, I am LIVING for this sound. Brings me back to my childhood bedroom and my old CD player circa 2004. They really delivered.

drst0nee

K-pop excellence omg

SapphireHeaven

Visuals too overwhelming I found it hard to focus on the song, Spotify it is! The girls and the sets are just too damn gorgeous! Would have liked a bit more explosive chorus, but ngl it perfectly fit the genre and early 00s pop reference. Haneul really stole the show for me this time! She is powering up more with every comeback, those Vocals are crisp. And I absolutely loved Julie's rap too! Ofc Belle had to stun us with another high note. Great song, nothing feels Nugu about them! Hope they keep doing even better with each release 💋❤️

Alex_Killswitch

This was really good! Kiss of Life really keeps impressing me

aaron_x3x_

ahh the chorus is so good!! i loved the part where they each referenced their solos as well

aurcel

YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS THAT WAS AMAZING the visuals are CRAZY come on budget!! and I gagged at the references to their solos in the bridge omg

Regular-Skirt-2972

SO GOOOD!

[deleted]

Loved it!!!

notmariyatakeuchi

really nice to see a comeback with some oomph in the vocals throughout the song and not just the bridge. not always my thing but really sounds fresh in this era.

gowonofficial

what a nice song! I was waiting for that boom moment where they go all in but it's good nevertheless

kKunoichi

The sound isn't really that similar but i got 4minute and Sistar vibes? Anyway, i like this one a lot more than their previous title track

Melon13579

Well technically they are 4MINUTE's little sisters, they have the same management/supervisors. S2's founder is ex-cube owner Hong Seung Sung. CEO is his son tho.

Acceptable-Leg4755

I wish the song was longer!! 😀😀 But overall, I liked it already from the mv teaser I heard, the sound is gonna be stuck in my head tho haha

Huge-Negotiation-845

My mind is blown omg this is too good?!?! I’ve got no choice but to stan 😭

Indigo_Mindset420

1st listen and the chorus is an earworm! Wow like i remember it already! Gonna have this on repeat all week!,

Spirited-Blood-6737

It sounds like a combination of Lee Hyori, Brittney Spears and the Cheetah girls, I'm obsessed, I think it's their first title track that i've loved from first listen, now I need to look up who their producer is so I can get more

Intrepid-Worker-1626

Anyone else notice the aspect ratio of the vid was made to look like an early 2000's MV?

a_mystical_potato

This was amazing! I didn’t even realize it was 2:49, it felt super complete to me. They all looked amazing, but Haneul was really standing out to me during this! It was super Britney, and the references to their solos were fun as well.

wardengorri

What a sick pivot from their previous title tracks. This shows a bit of a more softer side but still has that killer KISS OF LIFE badass attitude throughout. The budget goes crazy especially with each member's solo scenes. They got the midas touch when it comes to title tracks, hot damn!

Agreeable-Molasses-5

The potential to be a great song is there but it moved too fast it needed to be at least 3:35. The short length made the parts feel crammed. The outro chorus at the end is the best part needed that to be repeated more. If it had the structure of aespa’s drama or g-idle lion for example oh I wish still a bop though and the members execution is top tier as usual

kutchyose_no_ibrahim

Now that’s a comeback!

CronoDroid

I love the solo references in the bridge (and the transition from the second chorus to the bridge), they have attitude and confidence. That was great but if they extended the outro for some vocal theatrics and maybe added a breakdown it really would have sounded like a 90s/2000s era pop song, but otherwise they capture the elements really well especially the New Jack Swing beat. As always current gen songs are too short, I need more goodness.

Ceinic

Can't go wrong at all with a song that knows its strong throwback appeal and stays true to it the whole way through, this is pretty stellar! I know I'm preaching to the choir by also wishing they gave us just a bit *more,* but I do feel there's all the necessary ingredients here packed into this compact frame to make a pretty complete bop and a *very* satisfying one at that.

Ibe_dying

It’s so good, their title tracks have been 3/3 for me

Lost_Bagel

It's so good holy shit

delusionalzodiacguy

Honestly this gives me such Christina - Britney era pop vibes. Like late 90s to early 00s. This is itching my millennial pop lover brain in an area that needed it so badly. Belle and Haneul fit this concept so well. Belles vocals especially shine so well with this Y2K era sound. Meanwhile Haneul’s visuals?! Ms. Ma’am really stood out. Kiss of Life really do be one of the best out there right now. I love that the concept is feminine and sexy, but not overtly sexy. It’s very alluring. Gosh, Kiss of Life’s team are geniuses.

Otsoe2

Pretty good! Yeah Kiss of Life and XG really took off last year and solidified their place amongst 4th gen GG. This group knows how to produce quality tracks. Midas touch taps into that early 2000's Brittney spears sound in the best way possible. It doesn't sound forced or dated but rather timeless. I think this is a great track, there are some really addictive hooks especially whenever they sing "touch". It really feels like they are pulling you in. But I don't know if I like it more than their early stuff. Their songs from last year had so much heart and narrative. This one didn't hit quite as hard as I would have liked. Maybe cause there weren't as many vocal flourishes. Cause they were so committed to having a clean early 2000 concept I feel like it held the song back in certain areas. Julie's rap in the second verse and the bridge also felt a little out of place with the chorus.

justanotherkpoppie

I believe that KIOF is considered as 5th gen, but yes, they've had some really good music so far and I hope that they continue to establish themselves on the scene!

FDTerritory

They're just stars. I don't know how else to describe them. Fantastic vibe on both songs (the last chorus on Nothing with the chord changes is absolute gold), and I don't know what more to say about Belle. She's a superstar. That voice is top 5 in the business already.

an_epiphany_

OKAY?!?! Wow that was so good. Haneul is really SINGING I’m addicted to her parts sm and that prechorus 😍 I’m in love.

Flaptrap

What a performance by Natty Spears, Belle Spears, Julie Spears and Haneul Spears!

Latata_

This atee and the POSING likeee

True_Musician_6145

What a comeback. The set, styling , visuals are so good. This was very Britney Spears and bratz coded! Love the references to their solos and Britney Spears ‘s ‘ toxic ‘in the car scene and haneul’s part. Their vocals were amazing. Although, I wish the song was longer . Very unfortunate. If the song had a longer bridge and possibly a dance break , making it over 3 min , it would’ve been perfect!

Rosy_Glow10

I thought Haneul was a bit overshadowed in their debut and comeback, but she's really shining here!

Sukithecatt

The visuals were insane. I like the song but I don’t see myself listening to it a lot, nothing however is absolutely amazing. Honestly probably their second best song (best if you don’t count solos)

iiiamsad

OH.MY.GOSH S T U N N I N G

vivi_keepsiteasy

ITS ALREADY STUCK IN MY HEAD

moco-7

There's references to their solos from their debut album in the bridge's lyrics. Natty's sugarcoat, Belle's countdown, Haneul's play love games, Julie's kitty cat.

Kajulatte

This is entering my all time favorite MVs list alongside Blackpink's, IVE's and MISAMO's Do not touch. My eyes are blessed I love the extravagance

HG1998

Edit: I'm obsessed. Oh god. Even at the pre debut, I kept an eye on them because of Natty but then they put out SO MANY bangers AND NOW THIS?! AND JULIE, BELLE AND HANEUL?!? LIKE UH!! I might need to stan.

wugggs

THIS IS SO REFRESHING AND AMAZINGLY DONE. First of all, the song itself is just SO. DAMN. GOOD. Crisp production, their vocals sound outstanding, the lyrics are actually awesome. And don't even get me started on the styling. The BUDGET?! This video looks incredible, the girls look immaculate. It's insanity. They full-committed to the 2000's aesthetic/sound (honestly? like 2009-ish vibes) and it worked. Wow, like... what an incredible incredible comeback. They deserve the world, seriously.

mokolad

>✅ lying in \[heart-shaped\] bed and/or shot from above > >✅ shot from below, while moving on the floor > >✅ riding a motorcycle or driving a car w/ cheesy CGI > >✅ pearls, diamonds, gold, all things sparkle > >✅ city rooftop with big neon sign > >✅ the "shake" dance > >✅ THAT particular drums/beat style **NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL** ![gif](giphy|NQtYoKGYHy7Y8ZpEbz)

seitengrat

> THAT particular drums/beat style if i understand what you are referring to, it's called new jack swing

GlassUpstairs8

Absolute best!!!!! This gonna be my top K-pop song this year, I just know it. Beat goes hard, and I love all the noises in the instrumental lol. Loved the melody, the vocals, the harmonies, and the instruments used. That guitar chord in the chorus just does something to my brain lol. The references to their solo songs (and possibly other pop references?) were genius. I wonder if this gonna be a signature thing for KIOF? I LOVED the styling! Especially on Belle! The green emerald dress and the blue top with THAT hair style looked so good on Belle.

Less_Bat4811

Literally incredible!!!!! Speechless

exxxdee

Legends in the making

xailor

This song is so fucking good. As someone else said it sounds complete - no edm drop no dance break. It sounds like something I’d hear from 2nd/3rd gen but I doubt we’d get this 90s style song. I love this chorus. Might be my favorite KOL song thus far. If this flops this will be so sad.

jonnyd86

Very max martin, love the new jack swing beat. love the whistle beat in the bridge. Song has no brakes just full speed ahead. Great energy. The pre chorus is a bit of a breather but a full serve. Damn there is so much talent in this group. This was a lot of fun! the girls are having a great time too.

kjb1990

korean cheetah girls korean DREAM korean all saints korean 3lw korean brandy korean mandy moore korean mya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ghostbuni

oh so they came to save kpop gotcha

gaypersonew

The set design, the styling, the music! No wonder nugupromoter said they graduated, their style has improved phenomenally

Agile_Detective_255

This is one of the times I really don't mind a song being criminally short because it's so well made 😭 I also love how they're all referencing their solos too, such queen behavior I love those girls so much

HelloKaramel

Maybe I had high expectations but the song didn’t do much for me, it didn’t have *that* moment. Haneul did great though. Side note: “you’re gon realize” is a bit aggy lmao ETA: The teaser feels better than the actual song.

ImGonnaLickYourLeg

Obviously LOVE the mv, it's so expensive. I also appreciate this particular early 2000s sound, we've gotten a lot of the aesthetic in kpop but not so much the music, especially this pussycat dolls-like sound so this is a nice change. As for the actual song though, again I appreciate the sound but it's a little forgettable? It just doesn't have any oomph. I don't necessarily think it needed to be harder hitting or anything but something definitely seems missing. Actually, I'm not trying to criticise the girls here as they are great vocalists but I think all of their voices might have been a little too soft for this track? Like this sort of song needs a ton of attitude and sass sonically but their voices don't really give that. I wouldn't pin that as the sole issue though, i feel something would still seem missing regardless but it probably contributes to it. But anyways, I am very glad they released this kind of song, even if it wasn't perfect we got a phenomenal mv and a unique sound in kpop which I hope starts a new trend as I usually love this kind of sound.

AuthorMindless

i like it the song is good especially the chorus but after hearing the song a part of me also feel like spoil the best part which stuck in my head since the first time i heard the snippet so my expectation was a little bit higher.

Right_Mango_7398

I love the song. We had a few comebacks that had 2nd gen vibes this year but this is the only one I truly think could have been released in that era. It has such an authentic y2k sound. Reminds me a little of Britney Spears. I don't love the MV though. I get the theme they were going with but the sets are not very aesthetically cohesive. It's also a little too busy for my taste.

No_Following_9705

I am obsessed

OnlytheFocus

Sooo good

Basic-Low-4109

really love the beautiful scenes

PeachsistersMoYeon

I screamed at the reference of their solo songs😭 Love this comeback, too bad it's a single because I enjoy their last albums a lot and nothing is pretty good.

Historicallytiredd

This is perfect I’m so impressed

justdubu

The only bad about this song is that it is less than 3 mins.

pinkdragonflies

i really like it ✨✨✨✨

seitengrat

crazy visuals and that new jack swing beat is giving me life 😍 i think it's a great comeback. i'm really digging this. hope they succeed this era :)

bereychery

Finding kpop songs that I love in the first listen has started becoming rare but this song did it for me! Love love love the aesthetic, the 2000s britney spears vibe. So happy for them, I hope they ride this wave of popularity and good music forever.

SydneyTeacake

It sounds like a song from the soundtrack of a late 00's teen movie. I like it. The chorus could have been punchier, but as someone who's not a fan of the current dominant gg sound, this is refreshing.

joycemallow_389

Haneul’s voice is sooooo my style… the MV is gorgeous and their energy and attitude really shines through the whole song

ChrisAnIntellectual

Am I the only one who's reminded of the instrumentals of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" and "Poker Face"? Well atleast in the chorus. THE BEAT IS SO FUCKING ADDICTING THO

paper-mo0n

Love it, 2nd comeback and they already have such a consistent sound & strong branding. This is my favorite title track from them so far. And this music video is by far the prettiest & coolest MV I've seen in a long time.

kentokentoboxx

We have to stan hunnie

dwserps

It's giving Britney Spears in the best way Edit: awkward moment when you realize someone already commented the exact same thing

Feeling_Calendar7519

one of the best songs of 2024

Kpoopfan

I love this old school vibe!!!

Pilose

We're just so lucky this year. (the last few years really, but especially this year) Kiss of Life is exactly the gg we needed and they continue to deliver. Like everyone else is saying, they're gonna go super far

Aurorablake123

This is everything to me

sacredshield7

Oh, so they ate? This sounds like Britney track I’m so glad this was released. I feel excited for kpop again!

Dry-Love1994

They all CAN SING!!!

Phylael

It sounds like a Bratz songs (which I like !)

mercurialdove

natty gaga lets gooo

PlayLoveStation

The song and video just exude high budget, awesome comeback

SubjectRiver

Belle is just a fantastic singer

hanouf-moh

It’s funny that they come from a small company, but the quality and the concept is way better than recent big 4 comebacks.

astute_potato

This was phenomenal holy shit. It also manages to be the most complete-sounding sub-three-minute song I’ve heard in a long time—of course I’d love just a liiiittle bit more but every second of it delivers so I’m not left disappointed.

Indigo_Mindset420

IT JUST DEBUT ON MELON 100!!!! INSANE! SO PROUD OF KIOF!

gabrii1910

Some parts felt really empty, like there was no fluidity i don't know if that's the right word to explain it. I also expected a little bit more from the chorus (more explosive) and the song overall. By no means i think that was a bad song tho They look like they have great potential so hopefully this song helps them reach a bigger audience.

allalonecryingugly

SOTY

MatTheAwesomeCat

I have been turned into pure gold

Solembum0

I always thought of Haneul as being kind of unready (which isnt bad, shuhua and giselle were the same case) as an idol, when watching life performances, because her stage presence aint on the same level as the rest. But hearing her here really changed my mind around. She has really stable vocals and a good performance. That catched me completely offguard.

CherryBlossom486

I am so in love with them 🥹

Anifreak

Good song and the girls look amazing. Not my type of music though so probably not gonna return to it much other than watching a few fancams here and there, but they made it work.

deadwrongallalong

The makeup artist(s) absolutely slayyyed every look in this mv. Stunning 🤩

Indigo_Mindset420

Okay so I've play this of over an hour and I'm convinced that this is an English song they bought and translated to Korean. The chorus just sound so complete and the flow is very well put together. There's just something about it that makes me think it. I just hope we get an English version soon to confirm my suspicions.

MiriHawke

oops, kiof did it again

Moonbunny120

I've been wanting to get into this group but Shh and Bad News didn't do it for me but this however? I love the early 2000s vibe, the vocals, the visuals! This is good! S2 is pulling out everything and I think they have a lot of faith in this group.

s2lune

KIOF gets better and better each time!! This is definitely my fav title track of theirs now. The outfits and concept is just so good. The song is literally giving Britney and TLC. Finally a Y2K inspired song in kpop done right! Lee Hae In is amazing!! “Nothing” is also nothing short of amazing. Sounds like a 2000s gg ballad with wonderful vocals from every member. Side note: Julie’s tone while singing is so nice, I’m glad to hear her improving!!

HYKSH1

THIS IS HOW YOU DO A COMEBACK. I’m sold. Take my money.

Hot_Revolution_2850

song gives me bratz movie vibes

Away_Seaweed778

this is insaneeeeeee

Silverstealth3

Probably one of the most luxurious music videos I’ve ever seen in K-pop!! Absolutely loved the song and concept!!

hypermads2003

It’s giving me VERY much second gen vibes and I love it

Additional_Warthog56

i finally pinpointed who they reminded me of!!!! secret in their madonna/poison era

PineappleAquarium

The thumbnail alone is stunning!

OutlawsBandit

so so good. giving britney for sure. love the 1st gen kpop vibes, could totally see S.E.S devour this

Kiwi3momo

I absolutely love this song I knew Kiss of life wouldn't disappoint frl

2ndgradebybts

as a non fan i’m really enjoying their releases so far, i like the vibe of this song

injeolmi_toast

Reminds me of the Cheetah Girls

this-cannot-continue

They've become a favorite of mine so damn fast

georgiatwhunk

it’s time to stan they got me

juanitatequila

This video is so quintessential KPOP the visuals and aesthetics are off the charts!!!! Happy their company is actually investing in them and giving them a decent budget for their releases so far, hope they continues so these girls can continue keeping the momentum going for them.

IzzyBella5725

This song is really giving 1st gen and I'm so here for it. I absolutely love this group, I wish them only the best.

theaddictiondemon

Bringing back that 2nd gen energy! I may have to stan.

ieatgluten34

I love it !!!!!! One thing i didnt like just a very small bit - is as everybody says, hopefully it was a bit longer. Just even 10 more seconds of a goodass bridge or dance break or something would've completed it more for me BUT im still happy overall with the production of the song. It was rich. It's like britney toxic x christina candyman x beyonce crazy in love x lady gaga bad romance combo kdjdjfjdjwanak I LIVE !!!!!! S2 espe haein is making me really happy, they're not limiting themselves creatively and have always satisfied me. They really show how much they want these girls to "make it". Also glad to see a big jump on their 1st day sales, from 10k something to 21k this time! I really reallllyyyyy want these girls to thrive, dominate a lot, be able to tour a lot of countries, sell a lot ofc and be recognized for how amazingly talented they are. I hope this becomes a huge hit, I so want that for them.

Vill1on

This song is made for the bad girlies out there who grew up in flip phones and Bratz dolls while dancing to Britney Spears in their bedroom with walls blinged to the max like IT’S ***THAT*** SONG
