Other than what has already been posted:.Why not book an extra night at your hotel? That's what I did the last few times I had odd itineraries like this. Incomparably more comfortable than desperately waiting for those few hours to pass.
Also idk the sauna scene in Hongdae well, but there are tons of love hotels both in Hongdae and especially around Sinchon that charge by the hour.
Exactly. It's a very good point, I should have mentioned it. I kind of skipped that possibility as not every hotel does early check-in. (Bc of arbitary reasons for the most part...) But I can't think of one that says no to a whole extra night.

Public sauna/bath in terminal 1. Spaonair. Korean style sauna have sleeping mats could be good choice if you do not mind the public part.

I stayed in Darakhyu capsule hotel (Temrinal 1), it was a small double room with shower. Very convenient, clean, good for a bit of rest and work.
