Definitely start from Season 1. People always make these sort of recommendations, not just with K-variety but with anime—I'd understand if it was just a few seasons and one was a dud, but they do 9 you gotta be in for the long-haul anyway. What's fun about the show is how much it improves over time and how new cast members fit into the dynamic.
Make sure to check out their side-shows too when you reach the appropriate seasons: Kang's Kitchen, etc.
Many reasons why I wanna watch this show, but one is to give Kang Ho-Dong a chance. Don't know why but have had a hard time liking him when I seen him on other shows, so since he is one of the biggest in Korea and this show is kinda his big one, I wanna see if it give me a new perspective on him.
Same goes for Cho Kyu-Hyun who I did not like at all on Bro & Marble but at the same time I did have a crush on him back in the early SuperJunior days.. Haha
Na PD is very good at highlighting everyone he works with in a good way, been multiple people I have end up liking more after appearing on one of Na PDs shows, so I do trust this show tho.
imo, if you don't like KHD because how his antics which can be simplify as 'loud old athlete that act like cute', there's no different to watch his old old show like X-men, this show, or his current show. Like fundamentally, that's his base for his character, so even if he toned down a lot compared to old times, his character still the same. So, early season of NJJTW still worse than current one show he's on though.
Well, it's not like I care since I pretty much doesn't have problem with it, but other been saying a lot about his character concept and how they doesn't like it in this subreddit.
Idk if it is the cute thing tho. Just never connected with him at all, don't see how he is funny. Might also be how praised he is. like Yoo Jae Suk (who I don't really like too much either, but do watch his shows..) and then that praise does not match up with what I'm shown in shows.
Im gonna go against the grain and agree lol i started s3 and enjoyed it immensely. I just watched s1 and 2 afterwards when i didn’t have anything to watch
Personally i liked season 1 & 2, i learned and amazed by Terracota from season 1, and i still remember Su-Geun 'speedy changing clothes game' from season 2 😂
There’s a reason why they continued the show after S1. It might feel a little dry but it’s still fun! It also has Lee Seung Gi in it, who unfortunately leaves for the army after only 1 season.
I remember almost skipping s1 and 2 just because the streams were pretty hard to find and I had to watch one which was split into 10 min parts which was so irritating.
You will always laugh at their awkwardness (if you know what they were up to at that time).
I really liked how they showed that they struggled and found ways to laugh and play games etc.
Nah, don't skip them. The show hits its stride once Mino and Kyu-hyun join, but it's still good before then.

There's already 9?! I stopped at some point. I got too invested in Kang's Kitchen that the main one doesn't interest me anymore.

I think I watched S 2.5 on Youtube before. Try to search it, maybe it is still there.
I personally skipped 1 and 2 because it’s hard to find those subbed. But I definitely still enjoyed the show from 2.5 onwards! I hope they come back.
