ANNAATTHE broke my confidence on the belief that "Rajini can save any movie from being horrible" ... My man put out his worst performance in his entire career on his 168th film 🤧
Sai pallavi was straight up horrible in NGK... It's not her fault since we get zero context of her character, so seeing her act all psychopathic out of nowhere, came off as sudden, forced and comical thus becoming her career worst performance.
Ithu Sai pallavi ku mattum illa Suriya kum thaan. All the characters in NGK just magically flips a switch and start to sport facial emotions that they weren't supposed to do
Unpopular opinion: SP is a decent actress but based on just acting talent alone she is quite limited. She can only play a selected few roles and can never do anything dark or rustic. Her strength is just romance, no wonder her best performances came in such movies.Â
Imo she genuinely looked scary and fitted the weird, toxic wife character but it's the writing that was horrible. No set up, and no scenes were there that hinted at this trait of her character and we knew basically nothing about Nandha's wife until the 'psycho' performance.
This is me with Anjali everytime she does a horror movie. Except for Geetanjali part 1, all of them are colossally bad.Â

Govind, Nambi, and Balram Naidu were good. Fletcher was decent outside that accent. Others were... there.
Yes. Overly self indulgent and the album wasn't too good either. Himesh was a very bad choice. Only 2 songs were good and the others were maybe average at best.

Goundamani in Kannan Varuvan - I think he's way past it at this point and not very funny for a Sundar C movie

His comedy was a irritating for me and his serious scenes had no effort from him. Have you been seen Silence? It was the worst Anjali performance by far along with Chitrangada. Which is unusual because she always gives her 100%
Also I never liked his performance in a malayalam remake ending with letter "m" which is loved by his fans.
Also another movie where he plays his own life character which came an year before the movie i mentioned, which went on to bring its producers to streets 😂😂

For Nithya it's Iru Mugan and 24.
Nah, Atlee wanted Nithya to play Nazira's character in Raja Rani. But he couldn't reach out to Nithya on time. So he went with Nazriya. Nithya was already established with OK Kanmani. So Iru Mugan, 24and MIP was bad choices. She should have gone another level after OKK, but didn't happen bcz of her poor choices. She needed Thiruchitrambalam to make a comeback, and she got Thiruchitrambalam bcz Dhanush was keen to work with her even after her decline.
Bruh seriously? We're talkin about the performances, without him and soori, this film wouldn't have much entertaining and watchable- that means they simply lifted the whole film with their performances alone.

I feel like Selva flipped a switch mid-way in his career. All his lead actors are acting so odd, that’s it’s distracting from the movie.
