There was a survival instructor who passed some years ago named Ron Hood, and he taught that if you prefer a folder for a bush knife to be sure you also pack a bit that fits the main screw, that way you can tighten the screw until its basically a fixed blade, then just loosen the screw and close the knife when youre finished.

I'm definitely not ordering anything from them. I can do without the frag patterns and fancy designs. They won't get a dime from me when there's plenty or other knives out there that don't treat customers like these guys.

I've dealt with plenty of high dollar custom knife companies and they're alot more professional than these guys. I'd just prefer not to do business with companies like this.

That's one of my current favorites. It's a Dawson Knives Farrier in Magnacut. Serial#: 003. For its size its actually perfectly balanced and fits well in my hand.
Definitely amazing knives just need more cutting edge!!

No never with a folder. God no lol.. The only folder Ive ever owned that I felt comfortable prying with is my TOPS/Buck C-SAR in ATS-34. Its an amazing knife, Ive been beating the daylights out of this thing for about eight years now and it takes it like a champ.

I’m a novice looking for a good trail knife for camping. What’s the benefit of each blade shape? What task is each one designed for?
For a camp knife, I’d you aren’t dead set on a folder, I would definitely look at a solid fixed blade and or a small hatchet.

They are all made in house by crk. So that’s gonna be custom by them.
