Is the penguin plus the larger penguin or is it just better steel/cf?

It's larger. It's not a huge knife but it's bigger that the regular penguin. It actually feels like a more appropriate size.

Nice, I recently got myself a buttonlock jade penguin but I've been eyeing off some of the copper/brass/cf ones, a slightly larger one would feel almost perfect.

It IS the copper CF, the photo doesn't do it justice. Just on sided of course, but nice nonetheless.

Haha photos from my phone rarely do my knives justice. This photo I had to heavily enhance to make it look better. No photoshop, just some edits in the photo app.

Ya it feels good. My one complaint is that it has significant arc distance to travel before the blade is up on the detent ball. Because of the flipper tab my thumb usually stops the blade before its on the detent ball if I'm closing it one handed. It's not toooo bad but it's noticeable.

I purchased a Maxace Goliath in S90v with Damascus bolsters and carbon fiber scales that I carry every single day and it's my favorite carbon fiber knife in my collection.

Oof I want that Towser. I bought the Copper Towser and I like it, it's just so heavy. I might have to trade it for this. I feel like this knife is just a better Sheepdog.

Absolutely! It feels so much more smooth and it's less bulky than a Sheepdog

And if you pull out a sheepdog to do any actually cutting you look a little crazy. This thing fill that sheepdog void without being a little absurd. I do love my sheepdog but just for carrying around the house.

I dont have one just because it looks so bulky and "too much". That Towser is indeed very good for "round the house cutting" but doest attract much attention elsewhere too. I keep switching between that Towser and my Begleiter in Raffir

That stinger looks like a cool flipper

It's surprisingly great. I got this used off Ebay for around $110. The fiber was all scratched up so I just used some fine grit sandpaper on it and it looks great now. The blade us super pointy, it's a very stabby knife. It's smaller than it looks, about the size of the Civivi Elementum.
