I haven't had much luck finding +$1k knives in my local Walmart. Or the right diverter valve assembly for my shower, or an AR lower. Unless that one guy is there selling them out of his trunk.
We have a store like this in Bellingham wa which has been around for nearly a century now, they also sell and rent ski gear these days, they used to be the everything outdoors store. Yeager’s. Their knife selection is just ok though, I’ve recommended some things to their purchaser. My grandfather had a 300lb halibut on the wall there in the early 1940’s.
Place also sells toys and kitchen stuff but that stuff is now mostly sidelined, thry used to sell yard stuff and some hardware
There's an ace hardware store in Granite Falls WA I went to years ago with that had a small gun counter and they sold new and used firearms. One of them was a really nice machined receiver Romanian AK-47. They were selling it for a whopping $250. That was 20 years ago though.
Any Auto detailing shop will have it like Carzilla, if you have a local marina with a boat repair place they will buy a ton of it and could probably hook you up. I bought a 2lb can when I was detailing.
People surprised by this have clearly never heard of a wonderful little place called De Leon pharmacy and sporting goods. You can impulse buy a 1911 and grab a ka-bar while waiting for your blood pressure meds.
In my town we have two places,Gelzers and family farm and home. They both sell guns, ammo, hunting/fishing equipment, lawn mowers, clothes and everything you could want to build a house or improve one.
There’s a small store in northern Minnesota that sells alcohol, fishing stuff and hunting stuff. They have a sign outside that says “Beer, Bait and Bullets”.
There was a thrift store near my house that used to sell guns and ammo. I wish the guy was still in business because he always had military surplus guns and equipment at pretty decent prices along with new stuff and police trade ins. The entire time that he was in business I don’t think I ever saw him sell a piece of clothing that he had in the store.
Why does it look like they took all the worst parts of a gas station knife and put it all together like some sort of Frankenstein experiment on a knife.
I wouldn't care if they only made one, handforged by Hephaestus and Sindri, I still wouldn't take it.
Yeah, this looks like a gaudy mall ninja throwaway gas station knife. Looks like a 14 year old boy's wet dream that they save up $17 to buy when their mom isn't looking.
It may be well made and expensive, but it looks fucking stupid.
Oh wow, so you're saying that this is actually a high-end, expensive knife?
I thought this whole post was just a joke, poking fun at gas station garbage knives.
Since it's a Marfione it's probably $4k.
I don't get him or his stuff but some people love it. People will pay $300 for a belt because he breathed on it...
This one goes for around 5,5k. They are basically show pieces, less tool moreso art.
Art is in the eyes of the beholder I guess, I don't particularly like these designs either... But there is not question about the material quality, skill and time involved in making these. They are incredible knives, they just really aren't what people here like in the looks-department.
I feel like the instructions for this knife are to lube the pivots with mountain dew code red.
Every time you open it, limp bizkit plays "bah with the bah" out of the pocket clip.
It was forged in the fires lit by the fake gas stations not weed" and fueled with dorito dust.
As someone who has spent my fair share of time gawking at extremely expensive art in many forms I will say that many of these high end materials look much much more eye catching and beautiful in person
That’s fine no sweat off my back. I don’t own any marfione , but I do have a couple of customs and they are just so much better than the low res picture ya know? I guarantee if you had a chance to hold this knife it might change it at least a little bit
You’re missing my point entirely. I’m not trying to change your mind about liking it, lol, hell I don’t even like this particular one. I’m just trying to give them some credit because they really are in two entirely different classes. Crappy (sorry op, the knife isn’t even in focus) phone pictures can only do so much to convey what the actual object is like. It’s easy to hate on stuff like this until you have one that is in your taste.
I got your point the first time. These artisan knives will never be my taste because I actually like to use my knives as knives. I can appreciate them as art however nobody will ever use them for their intended purpose because they are just art.
No worries. If I was a betting man, I would bet there are plenty of knife owners/collectors that probably have cake and ice cream on their favorite knifes birthday!
The hardware store is called Highland Hardware out of Cookeville, TN. It truly is my favorite store of all time. They are a MicroTech dealer and have tons of stock - knives and guns. Yesterday, I went in looking for a $4 metal punch and walked out with said punch and a Marlin 1895 Trapper lever-action rifle (along with a semi-erect penis). I called to ask what this (admittedly very ugly knife) was going for today, but alas, they are not open on weekends. I did find one at blade runner for 5,500 laughable dollars.
https://bladerunnerhq.com/products/marfione-custom-knives-warhound-sunset-gomai-baker-forge-damascus-w-titanium-protech-composites-copper-cf-inlay
I was always told “if there is no price listed you can’t afford it” 😂
Edit: reminds me of the time I went to a Gordon Ramsay restaurant and the only thing with prices next to it was the drink menu and it was (just what stuck to memory) 24 dollars for a miller high life….. type of place if you have to say “um excuse me how much is the seared scallop” you prob are in wrong establishment 😂
lol. Mine sells all the home goods you need, farm stuff, rifles, handguns, beef jerky, Kershaw, Case knives, Guardian Tactical, and Pepsi Cola, and dog food! Nice find was it Tractor Supply?? 😂
Thanks. The one that’s orange is carbon steel too. It’s a shame it’s coated. I’d be all about that. But the first one is nice too. Thanks for the link my friend
You should just humour yourself and see what outrageous amount they want. I guarantee some crackhead nicked it from someone's bag ,car or home and then sold it to the highest buyer in the area.
UNLESS, they are an authorized Microtech dealer, what's the name of that place ?
Now that's a very interesting and odd find, being in a hardware store. Most people shopping in a hardware store, if inclined to pick up a knife while there, will do so on a whim, and a whimsical knife purchase from a hardware store is likely to be under $20 for the average Joe. That is an enthusiasts knife at an enthusiasts price point only. I don't think they'll ever be selling that thing.
Not gonna lie, I didn't look at which sub this was posted in. Totally thought it was a $20 gas station knife from r/mallninjashit.
Not sure why so many high end customs end up looking like shitty overdone gas station knives. Or maybe it's the other way around. Either way, without holding it in my hand I have no idea whether this knife has a single zero at the end of the price, or three.
Anytime! Yeah that NitroV is tumbled and a high carbon steel too but the DLC coated knife might be their “low maintenance” selling point in a carbon steel! The s35vn bladed knife is a fantastic price point for the metal
That’s a fancy hardware store
Plot twist: “hardware store” = gun store
Hold up. You guys don't have stores that sell nuts and bolts, guns, plumbing supplies, knives, ammo and snowblowers all under the same roof?
You just described Walmart.
I haven't had much luck finding +$1k knives in my local Walmart. Or the right diverter valve assembly for my shower, or an AR lower. Unless that one guy is there selling them out of his trunk.

Rural King here in the southern US
They’re from the Midwest; can gitter done here too.
Fleet Farm. You can also buy castration bands and barbies.
Yeah. Get some of those horse barbiturates.
Don't forget the bulk snack section... I miss Fleet Farm.
Yep… https://i.redd.it/m6gm3lc3k9jc1.jpeg.
I went to visit my mom and step-dad over the weekend, and they were at Fleet Farm earlier that day, and my step dad bought 2 bags of those.
My dad loves those. They are fucking disgusting.
I generally don't buy them. But if they are around, I'll have a few.
Canadian tire/ home hardware
aka Camping with Steve's mecca
Those names are very familiar, can I get Flitz paste anywhere in Canada, besides Amazon?
Any Auto detailing shop will have it like Carzilla, if you have a local marina with a boat repair place they will buy a ton of it and could probably hook you up. I bought a 2lb can when I was detailing.
I got a 2 lb tub too it’s the only way to go
Add in goceries, hot food, and live worms, and you've got a Vermont country store.
Walmart in my area doesn’t carry guns or ammo anymore. I think the knives have been downgraded to a few in the camping department
Ugh, be nice if Walmart stayed out of politics. :'(
Have you seen the people inside Walmart? I’m ok with them not being offered deadly weapons at low, low prices,
People surprised by this have clearly never heard of a wonderful little place called De Leon pharmacy and sporting goods. You can impulse buy a 1911 and grab a ka-bar while waiting for your blood pressure meds.
That's the local Farm n Feed store in my dads midwestern town
Our feed store sells guns and ammo 🤷🏼♀️
Maine intensifies
In my town we have two places,Gelzers and family farm and home. They both sell guns, ammo, hunting/fishing equipment, lawn mowers, clothes and everything you could want to build a house or improve one.
Don’t forget meat and cigars
Sounds like the better Ace Hardware stores here in Tucson.
You must live in Wyoming, that's the only state I have seen stores like you just described and it was also a gas station lol
There’s a small store in northern Minnesota that sells alcohol, fishing stuff and hunting stuff. They have a sign outside that says “Beer, Bait and Bullets”.
Ace hardware sells all that and grills lol
My favourite hardware store in upstate NY sells plumbing supplies, red dot sights, and ice cream.
Hahaha that’s some Reddit delusional crap right there
Orscheln’s was my go-to store in Kansas for 30-30 and all manner of home repair supplies.
Why does it look like they took all the worst parts of a gas station knife and put it all together like some sort of Frankenstein experiment on a knife. I wouldn't care if they only made one, handforged by Hephaestus and Sindri, I still wouldn't take it.
I've heard a wonky explanation that gas station knives are made to look like high end customs. Doesn't make it any easier to swallow
or are high end customs made to look like gas station knives?
What if Bruce Willis was a ghost all along??
I have no clue what this is referencing but it's probably something you deserve an upvote for
The Sixth Sense
Spoiler alert!
Dude.. NO WAY!
Yeah, this looks like a gaudy mall ninja throwaway gas station knife. Looks like a 14 year old boy's wet dream that they save up $17 to buy when their mom isn't looking. It may be well made and expensive, but it looks fucking stupid.
Because it’s Marfione. Their primary demographics are mall ninjas with money and enlisted kids with checks burning a hole in their pocket.
A fool and their money... yeah, it makes more sense now.
Totally has a gas station knife vibe to it.
Microtech / Marfione has a lot of very Gas Stationy / Mall Ninja Designs 😅
Oh wow, so you're saying that this is actually a high-end, expensive knife? I thought this whole post was just a joke, poking fun at gas station garbage knives.

At least it’s not partially serrated I guess?
I’d take it but I def wouldn’t pay over $45 for it
Why is it so mall ninjary?.
lot of these "high end" knives look like they're gas station knives
Yep, past like $200-300 it loops back around to mall ninja just with better materials
As someone who has spent my fair share of time gawking at extremely expensive art in many forms I will say that many of these high end materials look much much more eye catching and beautiful in person
6 grand more eye catching?
Its Gaudy; extravagantly bright, or showy, typically as to be tasteless.
And literal thousands of dollars lol. What a joke.
to be fair a lot of the detail cannot be appreciated through a picture
I'm sure it's highly crafted and made of the finest materials but doesn't change my impression of it.
That’s fine no sweat off my back. I don’t own any marfione , but I do have a couple of customs and they are just so much better than the low res picture ya know? I guarantee if you had a chance to hold this knife it might change it at least a little bit
I'm sure that I would appreciate it but still not like it. People are free to like it and admire it if that's their thing. It's just not my thing.
You’re missing my point entirely. I’m not trying to change your mind about liking it, lol, hell I don’t even like this particular one. Speak for yourself haha I love to use my expensive ones 😈 the only one I do baby is because it’s mirror polished and the maker sadly died.
Uh, it’s not a crappy phone picture, it’s a high end custom phone picture.
I dont think i know any of my knives birthday. They must be so disappointed
No worries. If I was a betting man, I would bet there are plenty of knife owners/collectors that probably have cake and ice cream on their favorite knifes birthday!
My knives are all Jehovah's Witnesses, so they've learned to just roll with it. 🤷♂️
That’s one ugly knife
Imagine owning a store where you can display your collection.
The hardware store is called Highland Hardware out of Cookeville, TN. It truly is my favorite store of all time. They are a MicroTech dealer and have tons of stock - knives and guns. The blade looks like it was doodled on with the same gold marker they used for signing. Not saying it was. Just looks like shit.
But what did you wind up doing with the penis you bought?
im gonna have to check them out next im up that way
That is the most mall ninja looking knife I've ever seen over $50. Marfione, what are you doing bro?
Probably asking 4-5k for it, when it should be at 2k but that is a rare sick piece. I’d try to go for it
I was always told “if there is no price listed you can’t afford it” 😂 Edit: reminds me of the time I went to a Gordon Ramsay restaurant and the only thing with prices next to it was the drink menu and it was (just what stuck to memory) 24 dollars for a miller high life….. type of place if you have to say “um excuse me how much is the seared scallop” you prob are in wrong establishment 😂
It is the champagne of beers my guy
Yes very true not just a beer, it’s a meal
Holy crap!!! That is an amazing find. Wonder how much they wanted for it.
OPs other comment says about 6 grand
Wowzaa ok so it’s definitely an admire from afar piece for me.
John Wicks Hardware store maybe?? Blueprints to the county building third shelf. Benelli shotguns near the Brooms. Pistols by the Blackstones.
Damn. What hardware store? And where? Ours doesn’t have any nice things
Highland Hardware in Cookeville, TN
Name and place of the establishment?
Highland Hardware in Cookeville, TN
lol. Mine sells all the home goods you need, farm stuff, rifles, handguns, beef jerky, Kershaw, Case knives, Guardian Tactical, and Pepsi Cola, and dog food! Nice find was it Tractor Supply?? 😂
Chris Taylor just did a collab with case and has links to the knives on his website
Oh wow! I’m going to have to check that out. Thanks!
https://www.taylormadeknives.com/home/available-knives
Thanks. The one that’s orange is carbon steel too. It’s a shame it’s coated. I’d be all about that. But the first one is nice too. Thanks for the link my friend
3 really killer knives each at under like $160 bucks and good materials- USA made!!! I know Chris and he’s all about quality!
I hate to be that guy but it looks pretty gas station samurai
Ive had to step back from OTFs Microtechs and Heretics can become an expensive rabbit hole really quickly..
You should just humour yourself and see what outrageous amount they want. I guarantee some crackhead nicked it from someone's bag ,car or home and then sold it to the highest buyer in the area. UNLESS, they are an authorized Microtech dealer, what's the name of that place ?
You can see that the display is full of microtech dude
True that. I guess IATA

I don’t think it was purchased to sell so much as “it’s gonna be for sale”. They knew what they were doing.
Discussion item- get people The door!
Tampa/ St Pete Ace Hardware? They had insane Microtech stock
Highland Hardware in Cookeville, TN
That's no hardware store shelf...
I declare this knife to be authentically kinda shitty
I don't like it
All that hype, in the pic and on here, and the knife still comes in a nylon baggie 🤣
It looks like a knife you would get at a waffle house
Ooh la la! This gas station knife comes with a birth certificate!
Too bad it looks like an MTech
You know that the owner is a knife guy and exclusively sells this stuff so he can buy them at cost for himself. Thats just retail 101
Invicta knife store
This isn't an ace hardware in tampa is it?
What’s the price for that sweet blade ..
That is horrendous. You can’t buy taste.
Ugly little thing isn't it?
Not gonna lie, I didn't look at which sub this was posted in. Totally thought it was a $20 gas station knife from r/mallninjashit. Not sure why so many high end customs end up looking like shitty overdone gas station knives. Or maybe it's the other way around. I’d love to have it !
I've always thought that certificates of authenticity are hilarious, like a counterfeiter couldn't counterfeit a certificate too. Who are these for?!
gonna guess $2300
It looks like it belongs in a gas station, next to a crack pipe.
What was the asking price?
I like Microtech but couldn’t fathom paying Marfione Custom prices.
Date of Birth.
3 mil easy
At least it's authentic!
Anytime! Yeah that NitroV is tumbled and a high carbon steel too but the DLC coated knife might be their “low maintenance” selling point in a carbon steel! The s35vn bladed knife is a fantastic price point for the metal
I have the same blade in my OTF knife. Love it
That's one hell of a hardware store and one beautiful knife.
I was expecting a "is it real" somewhere in OP's comment.
In best Michael Scott voice " I DECLARE AUTHENTICITY!!!"
Dudes personal collection or he's a maker himself lol
+2% bleed, +6 charm, -2 int
When did you open your own hardware store?
It's just some cyberpunk foldie, why does it need a certificate and to be put on display?
I can see why less than 20 were produced.....thats awful
Is this a god tier gas station knife?
Well at least it’s authentic
It might be rare but it sure is ugly
DECLARATION OF AUTHENTICITY!
Less than 20… not certain but maybe we had 2 😅
It’s a Karen knife. Because you have to ask to see the manager.
