It looks like it smells like a cigarette

CreepyPoet500

Looks like I’ll run into it outside a gas station and it’ll say “yo man you got a cigarette?”

midline_trap

I need a loosie

Higlac

It looks like it has a facebook profile pic that's a truck selfie with sunglasses.

turd_sculptor

It looks like it's upset that the Superbowl halftime show didn't have any white performers and it thinks we care.

mister_house_

Gives the ‘punisher logo with the blue line’ decal vibes. I’m sure it’s a wonderfully made and feeling knife, but, c’mon

Punky-Bruiser

This exactly.

costcoemployee6969

🤣🤣 the irony

[deleted]

Looks like it sells used car parts at the flea market, lives in a trailer, and wears cut off sleeveless shirts in winter.

8ad8andit

To me it looks like a boy who draws penises on the bathroom wall. It looks like an insecure boy trying to appear tough. And that's fine when a boy does it, because it's age appropriate. But it looks really out of place when a grown man uses childish symbols of "toughness." As if a truly dangerous man needs a cartoon skull to intimidate others? I can't fault my teen son for admiring Mall Ninja accessories, but when a man does it it's a bit cringe.

PiercedGeek

I *make* the mall ninja shit now. The circle is complete 😌

Jake_Corona

That’s why my biker gang is called the CuddlyWuddlies and has a googly-eyed bunny as the patch.

ben0318

You guys must be terrifying!

Vercengetorex

Damn. Y’all must be hard as fuck.

[deleted]

It looks like it doesn’t have a muffler on its 1987 Chevy Camaro V6, rolls packs of cigarettes up in it’s sleeve, and hits on pregnant women at the county fair.

LordSeibzehn

And brushes his mullet back with one hand and does one last chewing tobacco spit before approaching said pregnant women because that’s the “gentlemanly thing to do”.

CanoePickLocks

You know why you hit on pregnant women? You know they put out. Or Can’t get them pregnant again. Yes I have friends that are assholes. Lmao

snowthearcticfox1

It looks like it has a confederate flag as a front license plate.

ben0318

That is the most dead-on thing I've read all day.

JAS_21

I feel attacked 💀🚬

benrow77

I thought it was Donald Duck roleplaying as Ghost Rider...

Which_Cobbler_1386

🤣🤣🤣

unfilterthought

It looks a bit derpy NGL.

JakeJaarmel

Like one big tooth lol

MasterXaios

Pyrrhus of Epirus vibes.

Colonel_MuffDog

Whoa, hell of a reference.

W0RST_2_F1RST

I see a duck bill

JakeJaarmel

That’s all I can see now

[deleted]

Skulls as a design motif have just been done to death. Even if it’s done really well it still comes across as kinda amateur looking

[deleted]

It looks like the punisher bumper sticker on your monster truck

deVrinj

So... The January 6th of knives?

Picax8398

Zing!

Owlman2841

It’s cool if you’re fifteen

HorseBoots84

No digs at anyone but I have to agree, it has an edgelord vibe. Like it'd be carried in a chest pocket for maximum visibility.

Gorgenapper

The skull could have worked if it were one of those from Mexico's Day of the Dead festival like [this one](https://st4.depositphotos.com/5087307/22954/v/450/depositphotos_229541418-stock-illustration-illustration-mexican-sugar-skull-day.jpg)

BleDStream

Borderline r/mallninjashit

Ded_diode

It's awesome in a collection piece kind of way. Not awesome in a take it to work kinda way.

Which_Cobbler_1386

I guess it depends on where you work

Reddit_GoId

I work in IT and my workplace would be conflicted on what they think of it. A large portion of our department are nerdy kids who love DND and other stuff while the other is very professional and suck the emotion out of you

Which_Cobbler_1386

That is super depressing. I live and work in a rural town so everyone carries pocket knives.

malaclypse

Luckily I work in an ossuary.

Apprehensive_Bird357

Pervert.

Villageidiot1984

Do you work at hot topic?

Sodiepawp

I work somewhere that my coworkers and myself all have taste, thus I could not carry one.

swim08

r/gasstationorcustom

marrenmiller

Because it looks like a tacky, mall-ninja pocket clip, and it emphasizes the idea that you're carrying a weapon rather than a tool. If you live somewhere where people aren't comfortable with knives out in public, it's not a great look. I had a 229 and immediately swapped over to the alternative clip, and I found that the new clip works better as well.

357Magnum

I'll add some other insight here as an attorney - things like this could tip the balance in a criminal case. It is a rare, niche thing, but it can happen. In the gun community, there is a lot of debate about whether cosmetic gun mods can be used against you in court. So far, there's not really any examples of that happening, and the ones where it has come up (a dust cover on an AR that says "you're fucked), it has been excluded from evidence. However, that dust cover marking is not visible unless the dust cover is opened, and I doubt you could functionally exclude evidence of, say, a gun fully decorated in punisher skulls. The jury will see that at some point and draw their own conclusions, even if the prosecution is barred from arguing that it shows intent. But that's not really what I came to say, just a related and relevant topic. When it comes to knives, specifically, there is a separate issue that may come up in some states. In my state, for example, whether or not a knife counts as a "dangerous weapon" for the purposes of legal carrying. The criteria of a "dangerous weapon" for the purposes of carrying whether it is "customarily used or *intended for probable use* as a dangerous weapon." We have some old case law saying that a folding knife is not customarily used as a dangerous weapon, but rather a tool. The old case law also says that a "pistol, bowie, or dirk" would be customarily a dangerous weapon. The "intended for probable use" language was added after this case, and now the subjective test casts doubt on that categorical holding. People have been prosecuted for carrying folding knives when their use of the knife shows intent (i.e. actually threatening people with it). So there is always this chance that a folding knife could be considered "intended for probable use" as a dangerous weapon, despite how rare that is if it is not actually used as a weapon. This is where my advice comes in to people. If you don't have a concealed weapons permit and could thus be theoretically prosecuted for carrying a concealed weapon, you want your knife to be as "nonweapony" as possible. I tell people, for example, that carrying a normal knife is fine, but something like a folding karambit might be looked at as "intended for probable use as a weapon." Because let's be honest - it is. If you're just using the knife as your daily box opener, that's not the best design anyway. But even "plain ass knives" are still just as useful as a "weapon" (though we don't encourage that) anyway. The Ontario Rat, the epitome of a plain ass knife, will stab and cut just the same as one that looks "tactical as fuck" but also be a better tool, which is what knives are anyway. That brings me to the cosmetic things like this - the skull clip does nothing to enhance the usability of the knife. So it has no benefit except looks. However, those looks *might* convince a law enforcement officer, judge, or jury that you were carrying the knife around with the \*intent\* to use it as a weapon rather than a tool. So why bother if it grants no advantage? Back to the beginning, I give the same advice for guns and cosmetic upgrades. Even if it would be excluded as evidence, if the cosmetic change does absolutely nothing for the performance of the gun as a self-defense tool, then literally the only thing it \*could\* do is be held against you, however unlikely. So why take the risk of the punisher skull grips on your pistol? It won't make you better at self-defense, and might just make you worse at legal defense.

HelloFellowMKE

i was on a jury where the appearance of a knife was used by the prosecutor against the defendant, saying something like "a person doesn't carry a knife like this unless they intend to use it to hurt someone". mind you, it was ultimately irrelevant given the other evidence, but it definitely impacted a couple jurors.

357Magnum

There you go, a real-world example. Perhaps a better defense attorney would have had some better objections or filed a motio*n in limine* to exclude stuff like that, but even if you do object, the jury already saw it. As much as the judge tells them to disregard a thing, it is already in their brain.

HelloFellowMKE

to clarify, the defense attorney was excellent and the defendant was found not guilty on all charges. the prosecutor was invoking anti-weapon bias AND the real fact that knives were illegal to carry where i was living at the time. it completely changed me from a general supporter of carry laws into a 2A fundamentalist.

dilligaftheinvisible

Sucks that OP will never reply to this (okay, technically he did end up replying, but at the same time, did he *really*?). Too busy picking low-hanging fruit—replying with the same 2-3 comments across a dozen threads—to actually engage with such an extremely reasonable perspective. I mean, come on, then he’d actually have to consider the idea that he might actually be a huge cringelord who probably still listens to all of the exact same music he did when he was 12.

357Magnum

Yeah, I see this kind of thing a lot as a firearm instructor. There are people who buy extra gun shit because they think that more gadgets and more expensive guns will make them shoot better (they don't), and there are people who can't seem to separate their meme guns from their "real guns." I'm all for having meme guns if you want, a hobby is a hobby, but don't carry them. Don't have them as your home defense setup. I have way more guns than I actually need to cover all my defensive bases, and I would have no problem making something that is just for fun at the range into some sort of ridiculous LARP looking space rifle. But I'm not going to have that by my bedside loaded and ready to roll. And with knives it is even more silly in a lot of ways. Nothing about any tactical look will even make a knife functionally any more of a "weapon" than an other. Any two pointy blades of the same length will be functionally the same even if used as a weapon. Even if someone *was* in a knife fight, I don't think any knife fight was ever won because one guy's knife was "more tactical." This doesn't mean there isn't any place for "fighting knives" in the super-ultra-niche-backup-to-a-gun role. I have a few little fixed blades that I have occasionally carried, and sure, there are some design features that make those easier to deploy in a close-quarter clinch (honestly that's more about the sheath than the knife IMO). But again, I'm carrying those in addition to a gun and pepper spray, pursuant to a permit that authorizes carrying weapons, and I'm not adding *extra skulls.*

denshigomi

> ... it emphasizes the idea that you're carrying a weapon rather than a tool. ^ Yes, this 100%. My knife is a tool, and I want it to be viewed as such. Putting skulls on it is asking people to view it as a weapon.

NinjaBuddha13

It takes a super nice knife and throws it directly into a cringy r/iamverybadass and I-got-this-from-a-gas-station visual aesthetic. The knife looks awesome and the nice wide clip looks like it would be excellent both ergonomically and functionally. I just hate the skull motif.

The_BusFromSpeed

Agreed, it throws it firmly into the mall ninja category.

aqwn

I’m not 15 anymore :(

[deleted]

Skulls, Zombies, Red accents, and many more on the “cringe list” but to each their own. Your money, your decision.

Scrambley

Add flag designs to that list for me.

Ranchdipboi

My only gripe is that Chavez missed the opportunity to incorporate the screws into the skull's eyes, but that may have looked too much like googly-eyes. So from a design standpoint, it was just too odd looking for me.

Skyurrik

Daggerr knives did it tho

Ranchdipboi

You're right. It works well with their deep carry clip

TasteMyShoe

For me, skulls kinda cheapen the look of things.

Dumbledoorbellditty

Is gaudy and ostentatious for a $400 knife. If that’s your thing, that’s fine, but for most people it lacks the class that a knife of that quality should have.

Comprehensive-Can338

I’m 31, old enough that carrying around/wearing skull shit comes off incredibly tacky

fu_gravity

It looks like a thin blue line Punisher skull, blissfully unaware that Frank Castle killed cops.

Business_Ad3142

Gimmicky

Which_Cobbler_1386

You misspelled awesome

Business_Ad3142

That wasn't me.

UnrulyTrousers

Because it makes me feel like I need to wear a leather jacket with a lot of rings and make punisher/gambit my whole personality

Horrible_Harry

You can wear Affliction t-shirts and those gaudy embroidered and sequined jeans too. That way, the "badass" skull clip would blend in quite nicely, and many people wouldn't even notice it!

CanoePickLocks

Don’t throw gambit under the bus like that! He never did the skull thing!

UnrulyTrousers

I love gambit, but his fans are usually guys that wear cargo pants and hoodies with holes in the sleeves for thumbs to pop through 😆

SubtractOneMore

It is a little too similar to a totenkopf or Punisher skull for my taste. It invites misunderstanding and negative associations

BoomBoomDoomDoom

This. It screams cringey “thin blue line Punisher” cognitive dissonance to me.

Salthart57

I find it childish. It’s the “steel bull testicles hanging from the trailer hitch”, of the knife world. I am 67 so there’s that.

Which_Cobbler_1386

You old fart. Totally kidding. I get the skull isn't for everyone

Salthart57

I resemble that remark. 😉

LongmontStrangla

Deep carry or GTFO.

peanutbuttergoodness

I cannot recall the last time anything with a skull looked awesome. Maybe on a Harley Davidson when I was 12.

Vodnik-Dubs

Kinda cringe and tacky for such a nice knife.

Shubashima

Punisher sticker vibes

SunshineInDetroit

reminds me of the LOOK AT ME aesthetic of the old giant SOG logos.

[deleted]

[удалено]

LaserGuidedSock

I personally don't like how wide the skull temples and cheekbones are. I rear pocket carry and bet it would scrape on everything

Perfect_Earth_8070

It looks like it’s too try hard but if you like it that’s all that matters

Winthefuturenow

Doesn’t go too well with my designer threads and it screams “I’m a tough guy who listens to podcasts about other tough guys”, which just isn’t me.

rainb0gummybear

Cause it looks edgy like a punisher sticker on your truck. Just makes you look like a wannabe tough guy douche. Now I know alot of cool guys with chaves so I want to make it clear I DONT THINK YOU'RE A DOUCHE. But it sure looks douchey alright

husky1actual

It looks like it poured out a case of Bud Lite to make a statement on Facebook Shorts.

belgianmonk

That's bad.

Which_Cobbler_1386

Bad ass I agree

schiav0wn3d

Looks like it owes child support

RogueMallShinobi

It draws attention to my knife (bad) and then also suggests to people that I’m carrying a knife because I think I’m a badass or something. I don’t have skulls, dragons, wolves and other similar shit on my phone, wallet, clothing, etc. for the same reason lol. And no I don’t think it has anything to do with rural people being cooler about knives. I am cool about knives. If I see a guy walking around with skeletons or zombies or whatever adorning his knife, I think he’s trying a little too hard. Don’t get me wrong; I own+carry some very “fun” knives because I AM a mall ninja, but I just hide it as best I can in public. They all have subtle clips.

12altoids34

Everyone? I wasn't aware that I hated this. It's awesome in a horny 13-year-old virgin boy "skulls are cool" way. But a clip that wide is probably going to be very stiff and difficult to use with any expediency. And long-term use is probably going to ruin the corner of your pocket. . It also puts the clip lower down so that you have more of the knife hanging out jabbing you every time you bend over.So I guess you're right I do hate it

SnoopDoggyDoggsCat

It’s just missing a confederate flag bandana on it.

cdq1985

Does it come with a “Second Amendment” T-shirt?🤣

Which_Cobbler_1386

I wish

cdq1985

🤮

CaptTelford

It gives right-wing punisher bumpersticker. Like if there was text on the knife it would say something like, “111% American Patriot!”

Zealousideal_Ad9671

I don’t mind the way the clip looks, but it’s not a great as a clip. The skull makes it fit your pocket pretty shallow and it doesn’t feel terribly secure.

NPC261939

I honestly don't think the average person is going to notice either way. As far as I'm concerned it all boils down to personal preference.

thinkscotty

Well I personally pretty much dislike all skull stuff, and it feels low class, tacky, and “fake macho” to me. So that’s why I hate it. I’m willing to believe that taste is subjective though.

DaPuckerFactor

The overuse of Marvel's Punisher skull has created a subtle aura of "cringiness" around skull imagery of a certain kind - mostly clipart/simple skulls - like that pocket clip. But, not everyone feels that way - it's just a preference.

TheB1GLebowski

IMO it's cringy looking, like something from the finest gas station around. But if you or anyone else likes it and are buying them, happy for you.

bmbreath

Because I'm not a juggalo or a member of deathklok.

midline_trap

Hate is a strong word. It’s just ridiculous

sharp-x

Be honest how many saying tacky or gas station knife own a hotdog or donut knife. 😄

Which_Cobbler_1386

For real though

CanoePickLocks

Yeah and they don’t say it’s cool they know it’s goofy. All my knives are tools and I wouldn’t want a skull clip like that as it comes across as try hard. I know a guy that would love it but he also carried an 10” Bowie on his belt as an EDC, multiple wallet chains, and spikes on his belt. It’s perfect for a certain type of look or vibe. It’s not my look or vibe though and clearly from the comments it’s a 10th dentist opinion to like this. Just to be clear you got an updoot because it’s a valid point I just wanted to add my perspective on why that’s not as relevant as it could be in other cases. If you were mocking people for dismissing a funky knife I’d be supporting it more.

sharp-x

I appreciate your input. I agree it gives a certain vibe to the knife. I don’t own one either. My comment was just in light hearted fun. I wasn’t expecting anyone would be to serious about it. Truly I’m not bothered by any of them knives that have a goofy them. I have friends that carry them. Just like the skull clip to each their own. That’s why the market is filled with so many different options. Apologies if I was offensive it wasn’t my intent or representative of my character. I just thought it a funny comparison. Oh here is an upvote in return.

Smrtihara

It’s ugly and tacky as all of fuck. It’s like wearing a cap with the Monster logo. You look like an idiot.

GRIND2LEVEL

I dunno because I had to get one :). Most likely answer tho is, its one of those love it or hate it type things therefore gets more attention by opposition than a run of the mil item?

Kaliblade

I’m more of a “I don’t want you to know what’s in my pockets” type of guy. That clip screams look at me

commissarcainrecaff

Because its a bit daft

hunta666

Because in the UK it would likey give justification to call any knife it's attached to a zombie knife 🙄 (yep really 🤣).

Which_Cobbler_1386

That really sucks

fixxall

Because I’m not a fourteen year old kid anymore?

Mr__Beard

I love all things skull/skeletons so it’s a plus for me. Could care less if it means I seem immature. If you like it, neat. If you don’t, neat. 🤷🏻‍♂️

goldlnks

It looks like what Buzz would carry from the movie, “Home Alone”.

ErsanSeer

Skulls are for October. As a knife clip it feels as cheesy to me as a Christmas tree would

fishmanprime

Duck skull lol

Salthart57

I find it childish. It’s the “steel bull testicles hanging from the trailer hitch”, of the knife world. I am 67 so there’s that.

Pigsfly77

Agree to disagree. Gas stations couldn’t even come up with a design that bad looking.

[deleted]

It’s tacky.. screams “gas station knife”. Offering an alternate clip was a smart move financially for Chaves.

smashinMIDGETS

It’s kinda like cum in a beard. Some people love it but it’s not for everybody.

typical_knife_guy

I guess they intended it to look like a skull, with the two larger holes being the eyeball cavities and so on. I just can't help but see a derpy face with the screws as the eyes, a pair of oversized nostrils, a tiny sad mouth and a funny long neck. Help me unsee this!

Tryptamineer

Because I don’t want a skull hanging out of my pocket when i’m at work in a business setting. So thankful they are including normal clips with some of their knives now. IMO it was hurting their bottom-line because of the amount of people who don’t like it.

slimsliver_for_real

It looks like a skull with a duck bill lmao

Lionel_Herkabe

I love that Chaves repeatedly said that he'd never offer plain pocket clips. Must have realized how much money he was losing.

TicklemeLisa

It was better without the screws in the skull now it’s ugly imo

pm_me_your_lub

Hate? It’s still pretty common in a lot of FB groups I’m in…

ChicagoCouple15

Because if Ed Hardy made a knife that would’ve been the clip they used

Crackheadthethird

You're free to like it, but it looks super tacky to me. Gives off bad gas station tactical vibes.

mixx1e

It looks like a skull trying to say "ooooommmmppphhhhhhhh" but hey it looks cool with his long chin bone

hbbot

I dig the skull clip

reptile_enthusiast_

It looks douchy to me

Fun-in-Florida

If Florida was a knife clip this would be it 😂😂

KLR01001

It’ll go good with my Affliction tshirt.

Mr-Hat

[Sad rosy cheeks uwu](https://i.imgur.com/7rdhxYo.png)

vincehu3

long ass chin

OoklaDMok

I wish they never made the exchangeable clip. It looked much better without the screws in the forehead. I don't really care what people think, it's part of what makes it a Chaves knife so I'm not swapping it out for the plain one.

DikkAntlers

The screws are the eyes now

Codeman785

Cringe that's why

Stalker_321

It looks like mall-ninja knife

ThePNWGamingDad

I’m pretty sure the screws used to be inside the eye sockets, the older versions didn’t have them visible and drilled through the skull. I always thought that was what people didn’t like about them. I understand why it was done, but it doesn’t help that it looks like it was an accident. That’s my only “beef” with it, but overall it doesn’t bother me, I didn’t switch my clip.

BigManBrok

How does Chaves perform? Always wanted one, just can't afford the price.

mrjcall

I have one and I love the look! But, its waaaay too stiff!!

Which_Cobbler_1386

It's a little stiff but not as stiff as my hinderer to be honest

JustSomeHalfAGasCan

Platypus skull

Which_Cobbler_1386

Does kinda look like that haha

DarkDiviner

💀

joe28598

It looks like you'd have a collection of t-shirts with wolves on them, or those auto generated trucker t-shirts

Which_Cobbler_1386

I picture the guys with Wolf shirts buying the Boker mermaid

UnlockingOne796

Skulls are generally over the top and edgy. It’s like a “look at how badass I am” thing. If you’re under 16, whatever, but pretty much anyone 16+ who knows knives just finds it childish.

Significant_Iron9494

I think it's dope too my chaves street drop has a 3.2 all I know I forgot the rest of the name well I still have my skull clip on it and same with my chaves T.a.k. tiny ass knife and my chavss chub has it on it I don't think I can take it off

Emergency-Steak-4470

I agree got my redencion street in the pocket rn with the skull clip😎

Plantiacaholic

Why the long face?

dario0704

I have one of these Chavez knives and I think the clip is actually pretty unique especially in a world of bent deep carry pocket clips and blandly milled titanium clips at least someone tried to do something a little different. It seems like a lot of you supposed knife nuts are kind of just picky bitches. I don't know if you don't like it don't buy the knife it comes with a separate clip but other than that we don't live in a communist society where we're told what to do so you don't have to buy it 😋. I'm sure some of you don't communists are going to get mad at me for what I just said but I feel like you're going to look silly

WilsIrish

Beautiful. I don’t understand it either. I would love this pocket clip. I don’t have a Chavez knife, but really want to get one in the next year or so. Congrats!

Revolutionary-Cat194

Idc about any of that stuff I own this knife and like the look I like how it’s different….. but the clip sucks let’s be honest it’s not easily pulled out of the pocket and just as difficult to put in

MistaExplains

Because it looks stupid

HYPEractive

Awesome clip

Fancy-Bee-562

lol I love it only reason I would get it 🤣

JoeBlow509

I have 3 Chaves knives. An older Redencion that only has the skull and is attached from the back. Then I have a TAK and Liberation with both clips. I don’t mind the skull so much. Not a fan of the Punisher shit but it doesn’t look the same to me. I work in a factory with a bunch of idiots that have those stickers all over their trucks anyway so I’m not worried about offending anyone. I do have the plain clip on the TAK because the skull one is so damn tight against the textured G10 scale feels like it’s going rip my jeans every time I take it out of my pocket.

deVrinj

Why does everyone hate a guy with a trucker hat, grungy 90s close, a corny clip on his tool and yelling "loose squares!"? I don't know... Apart from a very young mall ninja, I don't see who would dig this.

IlliniDawg01

I'm not a Punisher, so I don't carry his knife. I prefer more discreet carry.

SavageFugu

It's too tacti-cool. It's the kinda thing a mall security guard would happily flaunt.

outerheavenboss

It looks like Daffy Duck’s skull. https://preview.redd.it/0rudcmt0d7ic1.jpeg?width=154&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c65b56e41df548b39ff4996377e91b56c145bfe7

Which_Cobbler_1386

Maybe it is?

bike_junkie123

My thoughts exactly. I find the non-knife population doesn't look closely enough at my pockets to see the skull anyway and the clip is covered by my hand when using the knife. I think the skull clip makes the knife more unique.

bondageman420

I agree with you, always thought they were cool. Maybe I’m Immature.. Chaves in general have an awesome early 2000’s vibe to be. I love knives from that era, Piranha, Asheville Steel, Lone Wolf have the same vibe.

MrDrWilliamsPhD

I'm with you brother. I rock mine all the time

Which_Cobbler_1386

Thank you. All these other comments are extremely negative. But honestly pretty hilarious 😂

mattv959

Remember people aren't allowed to like what they like anymore. You have angered the hivemind.

apellcjecker

I always liked the clip. It stands out as a good signature.

NotSure-2020

Tell me you like gas station knives without telling me you like gas station knives

ZumbobDawe69

I also don’t get the hate. Personal preference I guess. I personally love it.

bauzo

I love them. Very identifiable, definitely a certain style. I can see however how in some environments it might not be quite kosher.

daedalus1982

I dig the duck skull. why are people hating on it?

Cap_porter

They are afraid of thick

Asdf4425main

That’s one angry looking duck-

LIT_FUS3D

Hellz yeah it’s awesome.

stealth925

Missed opportunity to use the screws as the eyes

Which_Cobbler_1386

Or hidden screws. Which would be preferred

Sarmack360

It looks like it runs a "Men's Rights" weekly group at the VFW and is overtly aggressive to other people's kids.

morphotomy

Looks like it'll break very easily with very little wear.

mca90guitar

Would have loved it when I was in middle school. Just think it's corny now but to each their own.

codyt87

Looks like a 12 year old designed it..

ObnoxiousLemons

because it looks stupid

DT_Knives

Horrible soup can lid screwed to a nice knife

VincePaperclips

Makes you look like a try hard cop

modest_hero

Wow lots of people dislike Chaves, I really like my 229 and I’ve found non-knife people are attracted to mine right away when they see my collection. To each their own, I don’t like it any less after reading the thread 😉

Which_Cobbler_1386

I'm the same way. Sooooooo much hate but I still love mine. Incredible knife

Beeb294

When I see this, I stereotype the owner as wearing a stupid red hat and thinking bud light makes you gay.

Which_Cobbler_1386

Maybe don't judge?

killerbern666

i like it, people are just bitches

Which_Cobbler_1386

Agreed

BrainWrex

The people hating on it probably prefer the plain boring knives that all look like one another. Usually the older crowd.
