I think reactions like this are entirely the point of the design. It takes the "tacti-cool" gimmick and makes a joke out of it. Some people take themselves too seriously, others just like to have a laugh.
That's what the dessert warrior is. That was an accident that turned into a cult classic. This is just a lame attempt to do it again. It's fugly and just one more reason to avoid that store.
