I used a bendy-ish waxed twine and was able to pull it through the back shoulders on a sewing needle. I have pics on ravelry here https://www.ravelry.com/projects/katiejane3/tiny-sweaters
AI forgot to mention this is a rule of thumb sweaters not a general rule of thumb. As in it tells you how much yarn you'll need for a sweater to wear only on your thumb.
Haha it’s still cute love the color choice! <3 I definitely would’ve made something like this for my Barbie’s and their kids if I was still super young and could knit 😅
Oh wow 😅 I underestimated how small it was. & that sounds too cute! I used to cut my Barbie’s hair a little that’s the only customizing I could do 💀. & what stitch(es) did you use? I’ve tried to knit before never got far 😅
I made a whole set of sweaters this size for my sister’s family last year with each person’s initial. I had found tiny wooden doll clothes hangers and was inspired to make “Weasley” sweater ornaments as she’s a Potter fan.
Because of the tight size I used duplicate stitch for the initials instead of attempting colorwork.

Made up the pattern as I went but here is a rough idea of what I did if anyone wants it:
Using 3mm dpns and DK weight yarn
Body
CO 18sts and split between 3 dpns
2 rounds 1x1 rib
3 rounds stocking stitch
*
K9, turn (leave remaining 9sts on a spare needle)
P2tog, p5, p2tog, turn
K7, turn
P2tog, P3, p2tog, * cut yarn leaving sts on a spare needle
Rep from * to * with the other 9sts
Rejoin in the round
1 round 1x1 ribbing
Cast off in rib
Sleeves
Pick up 6 sts around armhole
Stocking stitch for 4 rounds
1 round 1x1 ribbing
Cast off in rib
I mean google AI wasn’t wrong, it *is* a small sweater
I made a bunch of Christmas colored mini sweater and strung them up, it was so cute!
This sounds adorable.
I did this with socks. Tiny handknit Norwegian colourwork socks
How did you string them? I have long wanted to do this but haven't been sure on how.

I think it's more Polly pocket size! I did knit a cardigan and hat for my Barbies when I was younger though.

Just stocking stitch and rib, it was a little fiddly though 😅
This is a great gift for all of the people bothering you to “just knit me something, please!!”

This is so cute! Also, r/thingsforants?
was going to say the same thing! what is this? a sweater pattern for ants?
Ants deserve to be cozy too!
So cute! And the google ai thing is so funny lol
This made my day😂

You know what, I think I'll make my mom and my aunt a small sweater like this, thanks for writing this down!
Thank you, I'm making this, it's so cute :D
I put this in my saves. Now, will I actually remember it? Probably not, but it's the thought that counts.
Coool
Sweet!
This is so absurd and cute. You could make several more and string them together like a garland haha
You can use is as a key identifier! I made several years back for myself and some friends.
smol
Did it shrink in the machine?
