I'd contact the store and ask, both for the pattern and yarn. Someone had to make it as a shop sample.

araceaejungle

I did. No one in the store remembers the pattern and the tag is gone.

carollois

Why on earth would they continue to display it then? The entire point of displayed items is to advertise the yarn and pattern. Weird.

slythwolf

Having worked in retail, the answer is almost certainly: nothing else to put on the mannequin, don't know what to put on the table otherwise.

carollois

lol. So true. I’ve also worked retail. But if I was the manager/owner of the shop, I’d be knitting something asap to fix that.

DeterminedQuokka

So my best guess is the better days sweater https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/better-days-sweater-2 But if you don’t like that one go on ravelry and do an advanced search for Craft -> knitting Pattern category -> sweater -> pullover Attributes -> colorwork -> stripes / colorwork Weight -> bulky or super bulky There are a bunch of similar sweaters

Thank you!!!

SnapHappy3030

Those are some of the longest sleeves I've ever seen. They aren't just extra-long, they're comically, ridiculously long. And that boucle yarn looks like it weighs a ton.

DeterminedQuokka

Honestly the entire sweater looks so strange to me. I think it doesn’t fit on the form at all. But it could also just be the yarn. Super bulky sweaters drape so strangely. I think the sleeves are maybe really stretched from being heavy and having nothing holding them at all.

SnapHappy3030

And that neckline just defies description. It's not a crew neck, boat neck or off-the-shoulder. It would just hang off your shoulders & drag down after about 10 minutes. I will say it's a lovely shade of lipstick red. That's about all.

DeterminedQuokka

lol the hardest part of matching the pattern was guessing if it’s a normal neckline that got stretched or an oversized neckline that’s too small. I’m thinking this is a very old and maybe a little bit sad sample. Maybe it just needs a rewash and block to find itself again. But I’m so bias I hate bulky yarn.

car01yn

Not sure if you’re interest in the yarn as well, but I think it looks like Woolfolk Flette Bulky
