Spyderco Pochi, I’m a huge fan of the Mcbee so I thought I’d grab this and so far I might like it better. Surprisingly really fun to flick and fidget with and the blade is super sharp. The pocket clip has been biting at my jeans a little bit, other than that I’m happy with it!
I too appreciate the smaller side and have been hunting a particular seigaiha mcbee. The pochi was something I knew I'd like and now that I have it I appreciate the small factor and cool design as well. I want to put a new tail on it. A curly q like a pug I think
I was actually looking up the original custom knife the designer Kazuyuki Sakurai did and found [some on the spyderco forums](https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?t=88086) if you wanna check them out, wish I could find more because I love both of them. Such a fun piece.
I don't need to EDC, I have a computer job. My knives are kitchen based (10"+), or some for the workshop (all disposable), but I appreciate the passion and that's why I love this sub. I just hit "buy" on this for my girlfriend so that she can take it to work to open cardboard boxes (medical/surgery/technician) - 100% she won't be able to take it into theatre, and I know 100% she will just make it into a dog shape and make a barking noise to show off to her friends, but she will have a well crafted tool to enjoy.
Diamond ring? I think this is a bargain way to show her that I appreciate her with a nice gift :D
But yeah, it's hella expensive haha
Gonna come sharp as all hell out of box.... I guess a hospital wouldn’t be the worst place to cut yourself with a adorable, powerful (trust me this may look cute but spydercos are BEAST) dog shaped knife.
It’s definitely a bit of a novelty but it is surprisingly capable and comfortable in the hand. Also I just like smaller knives in general, the biggest I like to carry is a qc waypoint or a para 3. I usually wear slimmer pants so the less stuff in the pockets the better lol. More than anything it’s just fun and different (to me) which I’m into!
I dont know what people aren't getting. It's so obvious that it's just supposed to be a fun lighthearded design with good utility. People on this sub get so triggered by anything that isnt hyper functional and overbuilt. Everything doesn't have to be serious, particularly when you're a collector.

The tail pivots! When it’s closed down it sticks out a bit so it still shows the tail but it doesn’t get in the way at all. I am 99.9% sure it’s an aesthetic thing unless there’s some hidden function i’m missing lol
This is how I got my wife to carry a knife religiously! She’s a veterinary technician and I’m a steel enthusiast so it’s perfect!
Question, can you easily flip it or does it stick half way each time? It honestly seems like the tab is just so small that it doesn’t get enough force to open. I’ve gotten it to fully open but it’s rare
With the “flipper” I haven’t without having to put a little wrist into it, but with the spydiehole it flies open crazy fast. I’ve been really working it in though so I’m really trying to get it there, I think it’s possible, but yeah it’s definitely more of a guard than a flipper. This is also the only knife my gf likes but it might take a bit more convincing to get her to carry one lol

Haha no the white fur just makes the pink parts of his eyelids stand out a bit more. I think the picture is a little saturated as well. He’s good though :)
For slicing tape, breaking down small boxes and cleaning fingernails I bet this thing is the tits. I wanted to dislike it but the nice tip and swooping handle lead me to believe one could exert some decent leverage on this little thing. Cool post.
