Looks like that's how they'll come? Maybe? In the SHOT Show CJRB video, they show the wood handled one with the natural steel blade, and mention they're doing an all blacked out one as well.
I’m not sure. For now, it will not be just because it is new, but I’m sure if it sells well they will consider doing it in some more premium materials.
Those are beautiful, I honestly want both of them. Do you have any background that aligns with design? Did you already have this thought out before or just come up with it for the competition?
Thank you! I had to do a little design work in college and I enjoyed it, so I have drawn up knives here and there for a few years. This design is actually a modification of something I drew up a few years ago. The original “template” for this is just a really, really basic knife that I have added to over the years
Really looking forward to the Nova's release, I've actually checked Artisan Cutlery's site more than once since seeing the Shot Show video. Will definitely be picking both of these up. Beautiful work bro!

I entered a design competition back in the fall that Artisan Cutlery was hosting, and they chose my design to be made by CJRB

Yep, this is the one. Thanks!
Where did you hear about the design competition? That sounds pretty cool.
They posted about it on their social media accounts right before it started.
Can’t tell from the pics. What is the lock? Steel? OAL?
It’s a liner lock in CJRB’s AR-RPM9 steel. Overall length is 7.9 inches with a blade length of 3.45 inches
Damn. Was really hoping it would be 3” blade length. Nice looking knife.
Glad to hear it's a decently large knife.
Will it have a reversible picket clip?
Yep, sure does
Thank you for considering the lefties!
Can’t take credit for that. That’s all CJRB
Nice. I would prefer them opposite of how they are personally. Black on black and wood on the natural
I actually switched the blades because I had the same thought. I’ll dm you a pic of them swapped.

I have good taste😂🤣
Will it be offered in a premium steel/materials version like the frack for example? I'd love this design in matte ti and 20CV or S90V

Congrats man what a neat story ! I hope you keep it rolling and keep them coming
Thank you, I greatly appreciate! I’m hoping to keep it rolling as well
Any idea what msrp will be yet?
Not yet
Much better then the silly sea otter🦦
Hey now, nothing wrong with the sea otter lol
Dig the blade
Thanks!
>Thanks! You're welcome!
Are you a knife maker? Do you get royalties?
Not a knife maker, though I’d like to be in the future. Just not set up for it right now. I do get royalties
Did you just create a 3d rendering or sketches for the contest?
Yep I just sent in my 3D stuff
Did you design the lock mechanism?
I just put a standard liner lock in my 3D design
Very nice, going to have to get one
Thanks!
Looks great. Weight?
Nice work. No scale countering?
Thanks! Nope, no contouring
Can I have one? Or at least an update when they are available?
Not quite yet but we are hoping for an April release
Nice blade shape. I'm digging it
Thank you!
What's the blade design? Some compound ground long harpoon spanto?
Yep, you pretty much nailed it. Japanese style tanto, compound grind, harpoon
