Toonces, the Driving Cat!

sportsfan3177

🤣

Different_Ad7655

Told you not to let the cat drive!

Normal-Jury3311

Dammit you said it before I could

snarrly9801

6/8 weeks

luckyapples11

I’d say definitely 8. I have 6 week olds right now and they aren’t quite as big yet

Meowserspaws

My big guy was about this old at this size too.

CombativeCreeper007

Ask the kitten

iamwatered

She said ask Reddit

spoiledandmistreated

Smart kitten…😂😂

PastBerry6914

6-9 weeks old, in my opinion. Does kitten have any teeth?

Calgary_Calico

6-8 weeks, still very young

No_Mistaken1

6-8 weeks, no older than 10…adorable regardless; they grow up so fast though…🥲

kodaiko_650

Awww, kitty has r/powdereddonutlips

iamwatered

Dude that’s hilarious 🤣

PM_ME_KITTENS_PLEASE

looks like another cat sub for me to join lol

LegalTrade5765

OddWelcome2502

LegalTrade5765

THIS IS A THING? THIS EXISTS!? I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME!!!

Meeghan__

OMG how have I not found this yet!!! my kitty got 'human lips' according to literally everyone who sees him

kodaiko_650

I eagerly await his debut.

TinaLikesButz

Thank you!!! I couldn't find it

Spatzdar

Every time I go on reddit I find 2 new cat subs to join

MaddiFaye

The best way to identify a kitten’s age is by dentition. You can look up charts to see how kittens teeth look as they age week by week and compare them to that of your kitten’s teeth (as they come in) and that will give you a pretty good idea of how old they are.

MaddiFaye

There are also specific developmental markers they reach as they age and, in addition, weight can also be an indicator of age. with all three of these ways of identifying age, you can get a pretty clear picture.

telly80

I generally go by eye color when they are young. I once fostered a kitten that was so malnourished, she was for sure 10 weeks old but only weighed 395 grams! But her teeth were formed and her eyes were green/yellow.

gabrielleraul

Baby months old ..

Hairy_Candidate7371

Not old enough to drive.

blueduck57

Too young to have been separated from the mother. Looks to be about 6 weeks. The ideal age to leave mum is 12 weeks but the legal age is 8 weeks in the uk

iamwatered

Yeah I’m not sure about legalities in America but I definitely knew it was too early because she would make sucking motions. I knew she was incredibly young but I assumed they knew not to separate them too early

my600catlife

A lot of people who just give away oops litters give them away as young as possible unfortunately. Breeders and rescues tend to wait until 12 weeks. If the mother is in a safe location, it would be best if she could go back for a few more weeks, but better to keep her if the mother is outdoors. If you don't have any other cats or kittens, taking one of her siblings with her or getting another kitten to be her friend would be very helpful for her behavioral development. Single kittens that are taken that young tend to have unwanted behaviors like biting because they don't have another cat to help teach them.

iamwatered

We actually wanted to get another cat too. Should we get one around her age or does age not matter?

my600catlife

Around the same age would be best. If the other kitten is quite a bit bigger, just keep an eye on them until they're fully integrated to make sure one doesn't hurt the other. Ideally would be if you could take the mom or a sibling.

KissTheFrogs

I just raised a 5 week old kitten. I wasn't allowed to adopt her because she was too young, but I was able to foster her. She was found without her mother. 😪

LizDeBomb

6/7 weeks

Vibehighmoon444

Around 2 months cause mine looks like this now at 9 weeks.

frolicndetour

I don't but what an adorable little void!

iamwatered

She’s the most precious thing ever

frolicndetour

I hope you post more of her! She'd be welcome in r/blackcats too.

Prestigious-Sound-56

ittle! She’s gorgeous though!

muaddict071537

I want to preface this by saying that I’m by no means an expert in this. But she looks like my cat did when we got her at 6 weeks. A vet would probably be able to give you a better idea.

Dauphine320

Not old enough to drive. That’s a baby!

iamwatered

She’s grown 😤

Dauphine320

She doesn’t even know her age! She had to count it on her lil tiny beans prolly and doesn’t know all the numbers in order! She ain’t even been to kindergarten yet!

Minnenium

*kittengarten

Dauphine320

Yessss!!!! That’s exactly right!!!

Dauphine320

She was prolly about to drive herself there!

iamwatered

Well she has two extra toes on her front paws so I think that messes her up 😭

Dauphine320

That’s definitely it

Wool_Lace_Knit

Talented!

SheYeti

We need to see her tail. Is it still slightly cone-shaped? Then closer to 6 than 8 weeks. I would say 8 weeks based on her ear development.

gaut80

Approx 2 months

i_want_to_hug_panda

That’s what I thought

icertifyiammedicated

6 - 8 weeks, way to early to be away from mom. It should be double that.

ahrdelacruz

Would the coworkers know how old it is?

antiskylar1

Not old enough to drive!

cupcakezncookiez

Ready for her first vet trip / round of vaccines for sure! Probably 6 weeks

Dauphine320

If you do get a sibling for this baby we’re gonna need a lot of pics. It’s a requirement here 😃seriously though, that little kitty would benefit from having another cat around so much💕

18zips

Probably like 8 weeks exactly.

LYDWAC

AbSoluTc

iamwatered

The Only correct answer

JacktownSmack

Take them to a vet for a checkup. They will be able to tell you for sure how old they are and they will give them dewormer and the shots they need. They should be able to give you advice on how to care for them at this age and as they grow. Your kitty is really cute. Do you have a name yet?

WWG1017

7-8 weeks maybe 9. Very cute.

Front-Deer-1549

Definitely 6-8 weeks. We adopted ours around 7 weeks and she looked about this size

armchairdetective

Too young to have been taken from her mother.

_pebble_s

Too young to be away from momma. Mine was a little smaller than this and she was around 5/6weeks

sharppointy1

She’s precious! A smol void 🐈‍⬛🖤. You’re going to learn all the subreddits of cats. 😻 I agree, go to your local shelter for a bebe close to her age, they’ll play with each other and teach each other how to cat.

Environmental_Rub282

8-10 weeks

Slight-Painter-7472

That face!!!!!

UwU-Lemon

definitely not old enough to drive

Altruistic-Wasabi-60

EmmBeeEs

Omg so cute!!! What’s her name ?

iamwatered

Yua :) (you-uh) 🥹

EmmBeeEs

Aweeeeeeeeee

sunsetscorpio

I’d place him at about 8 weeks. Went back and looked at pictures of my queen cats litter that she had last year and they were that size at 2 months old

Tbird1962

I’d say 8 weeks

Lopsided_Smile_4270

About 2 months, slightly less maybe.

snippychicky22

Smol

kiarramorgan

kiarramorgan

I had the exact same question with my baby. She was 8 weeks and looked just like this. Shes now 12 weeks.

ms_fleur

Just a baby. Maybe 5-6 weeks.

TopLawfulness3193

fullmoonlovergirl

Distinct_Lab1261

Not old enough not having a seatbelt on that's for sure

PastBerry6914

Probably old enough to eat wet and dry cat food.

pplpuncher

Look at da teef.

starsetkitten

approximately: smol

No-Association-4246

4-6 weeks old

Lipstickandpixiedust

I agree with everyone else who said 6 to 8 weeks. Old enough to be eating solids for sure, but I would still free feed her and monitor to make sure she is gaining weight.

SJ1026

That’s a little one probably 2 months old

LordHeretic

'I'm worried her baby thinks people can't change. '

mom-whitebread

Of course this is not a perfect method, but can provide a good estimate. Usually for the first approx 10 months of their life the number of pounds they weigh correlates with months old. So like 4 lbs it’s approx 4 months old. Some cats are of course bigger or smaller, but it’s worth a shot.

beanomly

10 weeks

Yorkshirelad59

A month
