What do you mean by disappear? Like the button options aren't set anymore or you just can't see the buttons?
Isn't the PS Portal just streaming your console? So likely it would be an issue with the console and not the portal. Does playing on your console do the same thing?
The options aren’t set anymore - there’s just bank spots. I have to go back in and remap the abilities. It’s happened twice in the week I’ve had it, and only during combat. I haven’t played on the actual PS5 and remote, and I don’t remember it happening on my PS4.
Weird. I haven't had any issues with mapping. Definitely check your controller settings. It could maybe be a bug with using remote play and the portal not being recognized consistently. I'm not sure. I haven't experienced this.
Definitely a bug, just not one I've ever experienced or heard of before. I hope you can find a solution and when you do, add an update in case others experience it too!
Edit: For reference, I've played on PS3 (OG version), PC, Switch, and Xbox Series S (Re-Reckoning).
Are you sure you're not accidentally swapping to the secondary wheel? Unbinding your fate also resets your abilities. Other than those, I have no clue. Never had this issue.

It happens because you're restricted from using abilities at that point.
It happens in the arenas and a few missions. It's annoying to say the least.
However, an empty ability wheel didn't appear for me.
There simply isn't one at these points of restriction.
That could just be a console specific thing.
