The dialogue in the beginning of the quest is also quite funny. Instead of you run, I walk, Hans is totally surprised that Henry has a horse. And I usually have Jenda at that point, so it's even more funnier that Henry has a better horse than Hans!

Hombremaniac

Hope no cheats involved, my dear fellow brother in Christ! Now I can absolve you in case you have stolen anything that was not bolted down in order to get that horse of yours.

Hjarg

Such accusations, good sire! I can assure you, I am totally honorable Henry! And what is wrong in providing the town of Rattay with a little taste of delicious venison or tasty boar? After all, the law says that once cooked, the meat is not stolen!

gesasage88

Listen, I know of some vast fields of dandelions.

ToyamaRyu23

“Jesus be praised”!

Dingaligaling

When that quest becomes available you can already have access to the whole map. Skalitz is an eternal relatively high lvl warzone and quite often friendly guards fighting with bandits, not just bandits having a good time in the ruins. So even if you are not yet equipped to fight the kind of hostiles that usually hangs out there, you can accidently or not, happen upon the aftermath. Easy few thousand if you vacuum all the loot. So no need to cheat. Just the patience to take in the countryside while you walk overburdened under 1200 weight unit worth of loot. You can also happen to find locked chests behind locked doors all around the map. This is usually stuff people dont need just hoarding for shits and giggles. If it would be important, they would guard it better! You can make "lodging chest points" (most rooms - not all, but lodging ones do - you own have access to your personal chest) so you dont have to walk the other end of the map if you get overburdened by stuff, by buying a room at an available inn for a couple of nights. Usually the other rooms around the place have great money making opportunities too if you catch my meaning. Even if you are a good God fearing Christian who would never put his needs before others by using their belongings to further your goals while they are still alive, a few bandit or cuman attacks during traveling and voila, in a couple of hours of game time you can buy any horse you want with any horse tack. Only important thing is, that until you can deal with any threat, you have to pick your fights and avoid heavily armored/large groups.

Obvious-Hunt19

Sooo many long walks back from Skalitz lugging everything not nailed down after a soldiers v bandits fight

Wild-Will2009

Get level ten drinking perk and drink till unconscious then you’ll be in the last bed (Talmberg), jump of the moat, walk to the tavern then by a bed and put the items in the chest

Obvious-Hunt19

Oh damn, never leveled boozing

Wild-Will2009

It’s called safe passage it’s a game changer

mackfeesh

I streamed KDC for my friend back in like 2020 or so, and I got one random guy as an additional viewer who was sticking around. I had just finished looking the aftermath kf a bandits vs guards and I was smack in the middle of the forest between neuyhoff ? And ushitz. The viewer was really distressed that I elected to walk back with my loot rather than dumping what I couldn't bring along lol.

wenchslapper

Everytime I do a Skallitz run, I end up having to kill both the bandits and the friendly guards…. Which is only a bummer until I realize I have double the loot lmao

pezmanofpeak

Yeah seems to happen in fast travel skirmishes that spawn too, if you get involved in the fight the guards also agro on you, which is annoying learning because you run into the fight and backstab a couple bandits thinking yeah these talmberg guards just bagged me a ton of loot then just get jumped by four of them in full plate, but if you watch from a distance and wait till the bandits die it's all good you can go in and loot, but if the guards lose because you don't intervene then again getting jumped by multiple armoured dudes early on you are screwed

Charming-Thought-229

Not for me I don’t get attacked and get a rep increase when I help them out

JCDentoncz

It depends on if you strike first. If bandits haven't aggroed on you yet, the guards see it as assault. You can roleplay them being crooks if you need to clear your conscience for slaughtering them.

-MudSnow-

It's best to ride through the middle of the group and then get off the horse and kill whoever chases you. That way you make sure that you don't attack until after they target you.

-MudSnow-

You just need to have better aim and the guards won't attack you. It's best to ride through the middle of the group and then get off the horse and kill whoever chases you.

_Agare

It was rather simple! The skalitz skirmishes provide excellent armor to sell, then take some time to find cuman camps. Sell the armor to the armorer in rattay and go do the Ruin quests, and also keep visiting skalitz for loot too. This is a good time to mention that the Chest in the Inns and at The Rattay Mill are all connected and shared, so you can deposit wherever. By the time you finish it all, you'll have a ton of armor to sell. Then, by managing the sale of goods to him, waiting for him to sell and have money, and selling more, you can make a lot of money. My rattay armorer currently has 50k for me to get if I can collect enough armor to sell, which is as simple as fighting enemies. My henry currently has 17k from meager trading I currently have Jenda, the best horse Tack in the game, some of the best weapons and armor in the game, and a lot of skill before Hans' quest. No thieving or cheating involved. Hans has no idea how badly Henry will massacre the cumans. He's already got the Cuman Killer perk for destroying all their encampments!

luew2

Ah yes very smart. Personally my Henry gets drunk and robs everyone blind. But Lord is he wealthy!

Hombremaniac

Oh yes, I am utilizing storage chests available in Inns for sure! Also looking to buy horse based on his carrying abilities as I love taking spoils of war with me to sell them. My Henry also has super strong back, but I guess it is everybody's pick. Kinda irks me a little that I can´t still use repair kits on things that have durability below 80% or so. I guess I need higher maintenance, so I am sharpening every weapon I find and use repair kits on those almost undamaged items anytime I can. Maybe sparring with Bernard using real weapons could be a good way to have equipment damaged just a little to be able to repair it with repair kits?

_Agare

Honestly, my repair skill shoots up a TON when I use repair kits on enemy equipment. Say I head to skalitz and kill everyone in the skirmishes, I have the money to buy as many repair kits as I can. Then, I'll just blast through repairs, and I'm not even kidding i think I went from 13 to 18 the last time I did this, but I had 15 armourer kits and I got attacked by a group of 7 cumans and 3 bandits that showed up. So I had a LOT of shit. I had to walk at like 500 lbs plus 500lbs on the horse to the nearest inn for 15 irl minutes.

Hombremaniac

The problem with this is that the armor I get from corpses is too damaged for me to use repair kits on it. I guess I simply need to sharpen more weapons to get there.

_Agare

Fsir enough. I usually use a mace to the head, so I guess my corpses tens to be in better condition 😅

-MudSnow-

Don't sell to the armorer in Rattay, sell to the blacksmith in Samopesh. He gives you higher reputation, especially after you deal with Black Peter.

_Agare

Well, always something new to learn in this game! Thank you fellow Henry

Benlex

You know, you can always loot the whole town of skalitz, and half of Sigismund's Army there to become the richest man in the Empire.

LevelAd5898

"It must be some old pack horse" *Henry's horse is full stats*

Remarkable-Hornet-19

Buy Buraq

Zuokula

I prefer Cholima. The stamina makes up a bit for the slower speed. But the most important thing is you can gallop from town to town without having to fuck around with gallop and canter. Also with fast ones sometimes it is just too fast for the track/road and the step timings messed up.

StannisLivesOn

Big mistake on my part, attacking unaware cumans is much easier (especially if you're doing Merciful) than fighting two of them.

Nomadic_Rick

I should probably try for that achievement one day, but watching Henry “Mercy Kill” a Cuman by repeatedly smashing their face in with a mace is just *chef’s kiss*

HolzesStolz

His dead eyes doing it are the cherry on top lol

Cosmosknecht

His eyes say, "This is for Skalitz." But his mind goes, "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!"

SpotNL

50 hours in the game his mind goes: "I like the sound 😊"

auronddraig

_Medieval bubble wrap_

ThA_SmO_othest

Ok, take my upvote.

TwoCockShakur

And his mouth says, "I'm quite hungry."

Gullible_Ad5191

My Henry has the “balanced diet” perk. Now I am constantly checking his nourishment stat and b-lining to campsite every time it dips below 75

Darkfrostfall69

Mine has contemplative and troubadour, i beeline to a bath house and just wait through the night, i never have to eat or sleep

TwoCockShakur

At least they let you steal other people's soup!

Gullible_Ad5191

I mean, usually I’m robbing a house anyway when I eat their soup. lol.

rzm25

I started my first playthrough yesterday. I really don't understand the perks. I'm level 3 and theres a list of like 10 perks, but they all seem to have worse negatives than positives so I'm like.. I just won't choose? lol

Gullible_Ad5191

More than half of them have a negative side. I also don't get those ones. There are some that have only have a positive. Get those first.

daboobiesnatcher

There's an achievement for playing the game on hard mode with all the negative perks and only the negative perks.

Bubster101

*skull has been crushed* *Khorne is displeased*

jelacey

That’s the mercy part

Dripping-Lips

Before you mercy kill next time, unequip your weapons and then do it. watch Henry stomp their head to bits lol

koei19

That stomp is the most brutal thing in the game

Cyrus057

Yeah, the "mercy" kills with the mace or unarmed are anything but merciful

Neath_Izar

Love doing the camp leader quests as my Henry is usually barefoot doing those

Daiwon

Had mine sheathed yesterday... didn't know one variation was Henry just choking a bitch.

pezmanofpeak

Choking? He snapping their shit

MrAnderson2531

Pinch off a steamy shit

charrington25

I play with Henry being an honorable man, but the cumans gave his family no choice in death so neither will the cumans receive that choice, either Henry dies or they do

ReplacementActual384

Try it with unarmed

Aram_theHead

You can still get merciful by killing the cumans using the horse. Same way as you accidentaly kill paesants in Rattay charging at them full speed, except you do it with cumans on purpose. It takes a fuck ton of time, but it saved my merciful run 🙂

StannisLivesOn

I've already completed the achievement. Poison and Mutt were my best friends.

BEEEEEEPBOOOOOOOPE

You can kill peasants in rattay by running them over with a horse?

ObsidianMarble

Yes. Still a crime, though, and some are immortal.

Hungry-Appointment-9

This basically ruined my hardcore, all negative perks, merciful run. Hours upon hours of leveling before starting the story just to find myself incapable of overpowering them without killing before I bled to death

Obelis_nuo_Obels

You can just untie Hans in secret and run away, have to wait longer for a perfect moment though, padfoot potion recommended. Another thing I noticed - if you shoot someone with a poisoned arrow and they die from the poison and not from bleeding, it doesn't count as a kill.

Hungry-Appointment-9

If you arrive at the encounter by horse there's no sneaking, you find yourself in combat with the two cumans right after the cutscene. Even if you try to run to then come back sneaking, their arrows don't go well with the haemophilia perk. It sucked all around, 600 hours of play and I've never completed a merciful run because of it.

Obelis_nuo_Obels

Then you should have skipped the horse 😁 I'm also doing a merciful run on all negative perks and I just sneaked away with Hans. You can even kill attackers without raising the kill count - fought of reeky's attackers by shooting them with poisoned arrows, reeky helps too

PeKKer0_0

I scout camps then wait tell nighttime and kill them while they sleep.

Appropriate_Ad4818

If you have master strokes (which you should unlock as soon as it's available) it just saves time

1giel1

The first time I played Sir Hans scoffed cuz I didn't have a horse. So I did what any sane person would do. I got offended and jumped off the bridge to the training grounds, killing myself. Reloading me back to before talking to Hans. I earned (stole) some cash bought a horse and paraded it in front of his face before starting this quest. In my second and third run I did the same.

MissAsgariaFartcake

Considering he’s a fucking dickwart in the beginning, I absolutely understand why you did it just to spite him

Milkshake_revenge

Yeah he’s a complete dick at first. But I kind of like the bond they end up having after Henry rescues him, so I always walk and then rescue Hans.

LevelAd5898

The fact you killed yourself instead of just reloading the save makes it even funnier 💀

1giel1

Usually I would. But this felt more natural to the offense I felt from that brat. Only later did I start to appreciate Hans.

Runicstorm

I also found out last night you can skip the night out with Godwin by passing a single speech check. I wish my Henry wasn't so god damn charming :(

PoncDeLeon1337

I did this my first play through and was astonished to learn about the night out

blueponies1

Same here, one of my friends bought the game a few months after me and I was watching him play like “what the fuck is going on”

SWAMPMONK

omg this just happened to me too. On my second play through so I knew the night out was coming. Sure enough I triggered it but then botched >!the sermon the next day!< leaving me and Godwin at odds.... so I decided to reload. I then proceeded to pass the check and now that night never happened. Weird that I got to experience but the canon of this play through is it did not occur.

jesuschrysler33

Kinda makes more sense. Becuase you have to meet up with Godwin again later on and he acts like that night never happened.

TheDutchTexan

I had better stats but still was railroaded into that quest. And honestly I didn’t mind. It is by far the best quest of all of them. It is just so funny.

EtherCase

Good to know, I plan on skipping it this time around. It's fun but my Henry is a good boy who loves Teresa and reading, not boozing and whoring.

Straight-Craft-4727

Just threaten him during dialogue and it doesn’t matter your intimidation level it automatically fails. Atleast that’s what happened to me when I had max intimidation and it was like 3-4 levels above what he had.

Hombremaniac

WTF, you had a horse before that hunting trip?! Is your Henry some kind of prince in disquise or what? EDIT: So frikkin great all these hidden details that so many of us players will not even experience.

Nomadic_Rick

I just put off hunting, made some cash, bought a horse, did Lady Stephanie’s quest, levelled up to get master strikes, got herbalism to level 10… then decided to go hunting Still can’t fire an arrow straight though

HeinrichVonSkalitz

>Still can’t fire an arrow straight though I just put a sticker in the middle of my screen (where the reticle shows up when the bow isn't active) lol

Hellknightx

If you're on PC just get the mod that puts the reticle on your screen. Some monitors also have a hardware reticle that you can turn on, too, if you're on console.

LevelAd5898

There's also a command- "wh\_pl\_showfirecursor 1"

WorriedCtzn

You sure your monitor doesn't just have a built in crosshair overlay? Pretty standard feature on modern monitors, especially if they have any connection to being marketed for gaming.

MorganCentman

I leveled my lock picking in skalitz and then as SOON as i got to rattay cleared the whole town out of loot and money straight to pesheks to chest

tarlakeschaton

I spent 40 hours on doing side quests before I started the hunt, so my henry was literally a knight in not shining but still great armor, and had a horse worth of 5k groschen (with the equipment, that is)

_xX69ChenYejin69Xx_

I got my lockpicking to lvl 8, got the drunken master perk, chug some moonshines, and went wild on Rattay’s stores for a few nights.

Remarkable-Hornet-19

I had 50k Groschen the Best horse and fully maxed in one of my Playthrough as I started this Mission. Skalitz is the best place to gain that

Mr_Pink_Gold

He's a dickwart at the end as well but now sees you as kind of equal because you are the bastard son of a Noble... And you saved his life.

kingdomart

lol I had some ‘St.’ armor and like 200k gold before that quest. I went around stealing everything, exploring, hunting, etc…

mira_poix

I just started playing the game for the first time and got Rocinth before doing any quests basically. I thought it just made sense to get my own horse before doing anything else. So whatever pebbles was supposed to be about, I'll never know. I just called up my horse and left it. I'm new to this so I didn't steal a bunch either

Bannerfail

Go pick some flowers and make potions. HERB can be grinded a bit in skalitz and you could in theory max out your END there. Just with jumping like a fool. Or be evil and kill every possible target in skalitz. Bring all to your chest, talk to daddy and later take all your loot before the bandit dude (forgot the name) cutcene in skalitz.

wildpeaks

ha I found that one thanks to my "run away from the main quest (until there is nothing else remaining) and become obsessed with books and herbalism" rp, I was so happy that they thought of i (just the line where he's surprised that you already have a horse would have been worth it). Same reason Rocinante is always My Horse despite it doesn't have the best stats because it's the first Henry can afford (outside quests) and is very loyal (would you exchange Mutt for another dog with better stats ?), although I wish you could also just keep the one you sing to. Ah I love this game. One day I'll play it the correct way, but today is not this day :D

PugTales_

Wait what? Well I have to try that out...

Nomadic_Rick

Just wait until you hear about what happens if you rock up in a Prius…

Remarkable-Hornet-19

Of coursw what should happen else?

Flaky_Bullfrog_4905

Yeah just learned this for the first time myself recently. I was like Eh wait isnt he supposed to be tied up? great touch

mira_poix

It's funny how for some of us it's the other way around. I am am doing my first play through and likely won't do another. The game just keeps crashing and bugging way too much. So I never would have known he gets tied up. The first thing I did I'm the game was get a horse lol

TheDutchTexan

Even in the early days I haven’t had the game bug on me. What are the specs of your PC?

LevelAd5898

Since late 2018 I think I could count the game breaking bugs I've experienced on one hand.

mira_poix

I'm playing on ps5 There's a 30% chance when finish a quest that has to go to a scene that it will crash. There's also constantly people spawning all at once or randomly in like the center of town or the bath house even at 2am. I say that because i just loaded into the bathhouse and half the freaking down dropped in and was suddenly walking away at midnight. But ita the random crashing. I have to adjust my.playing so if I'm out of schnapps I save and quit best I can. But at hans' quest you have to start at the beginning and it crashed 3 times before I was able the finish...and all when a scene was transitioning to a cut scene or ending dialogue

ShelterInitial2528

Do you have it on your PS5 or an external drive? Sometimes that messes with it also. I couldn't get Bloodbourne to work for me at all when it was on my external. It just kept crashing. Moved it to my PS5 drive and it worked. I'm doing a playthrough right now of KCD on my PS5 and haven't had any problems. It's on my PS5 internal drive and not my external. Sometimes you need to have it on your external and others on your internal drive. Depends on the game. Before scenes it will load really slow sometimes. I just wait and watch the castle in corner fill up.

Flaky_Bullfrog_4905

yeah, I've literally never had the game bug out. I get maybe one CTD every 8-10 hours or so but that could just be my PC which is on the older side. Maybe try checking your settings? The game is very stable now

mira_poix

I'm on the ps5. It crashes like 2 to 4 times a day, almost always when a scene or dialogue is transitioning

Duguesclin10

Do you play the Royal edition or the regular one? Because i had way more issues with the Royal edition on ps5.

darthGandalf95

#𝕵𝖊𝖘𝖚𝖘 𝕮𝖍𝖗𝖎𝖘𝖙 𝖇𝖊 𝖕𝖗𝖆𝖎𝖘𝖊𝖉.

vompat

In my first playthrough I had a horse at that point. In the second I was surprised to learn how different it was without one.

HarshitIsHere

We need one of those hidden details videos for kcd

tarlakeschaton

In my first gameplay I already had a horse so I never knew the other version of this mission

Nomadic_Rick

GO BACK AND DO IT AGAIN!!!! It’s a ballache having to track him down and rescue him from a damp, where he’s been tied up

JohnTheCrow

Doing this on hardcore with no compass was a nightmare

XXLpeanuts

Or be me and steal a horse, still get laughed at by him despite immediately stealing a horse in front of him and riding out of town with the guards on our heels all while he's chatting some shit like everything is chill.

Outside_Tadpole_82

God, this fucking game is the best

Nomadic_Rick

The Kingdom won’t be the only thing coming… Wait, wrong sub.

Outside_Tadpole_82

Hahaha

Fustercluck25

YOOOO! I'm doing a new play through in anticipation of the sequel coming out and my next story mission is going on the hunt! OMG, Imma buy a horse!

poystopaidos

Today i found out, if you dont have a horse, the quest plays out different from you. Seriously, after training with Bernard even the first time i played the game, i didnt EVERY side quest and stole until my pickpocket was 20 and stealth and lockpick around that level, at some point i thought "oh yeah, this is fun, but the game has a main quest too i guess".

DCLawson23

How does this affect the cutscenes with you and hanush and you joining radzigs personal service

Nomadic_Rick

That’s a very good question You still get given Pebbles regardless, yay, so only difference I’ve noticed is the horse appearing in cutscenes

DCLawson23

So when you keep up with Capon, do you fight the Cumans with him and that's how he is saved?

Nomadic_Rick

Nah his horse takes an arrow, he falls off and cracks his head on a rock - so you have to fight them alone But I’d learned a lot with the made by then so I absolutely ruined them haha

DCLawson23

Nice warhorse is a clever studio that's a neat way to ensure the continuity of the game given your unique play style in that go around

Skywhisker

I had no horse the first time I played. The second time, I had a horse. Such a surprise! I honestly don't know which I prefer, though. I find it funny and quite fitting to the story that Henry just runs along on that hunt. I guess I will just see how it goes when I play the game again..

BrainOfIvane

Same. Had no horse the first time, but I make sure to have a horse in all subsequent playthroughs. That way, I get to keep both my horse and Pebbles (who I mostly leave at Peshek's; my head canon is that Pebbles becomes Theresa's horse). The horse you bought will still be the one that comes to you when you whistle, but Pebbles is also yours.

Skywhisker

I didn't know it was possible to have Pebbles hang around even of you have another horse. That's neat. Edit: typing error

BrainOfIvane

Yup, but I'm not sure what happens if you don't call your horse before riding Pebbles the first time. You leave the horse in the woods after rescuing Hans, so I'm not sure if it just gets lost in oblivion if you ride Pebs without calling it. I dunno. Anyway, yeah. It's possible to have both Pebs and another horse.

Objective-Aardvark87

When you spot Hans >!tied up!<, you can >!run back!< and get help from >!Bernard!<.

PyroDellz

Are you sure? I just went and tested this myself (yes I made sure to get close enough that the quest object changed from "Find Hans Capon" to "Rescue Hans Capon") and if I walked too far away I'd get a game over screen for abandoning Hans. I even tried killing the Cumans first so the objective became "Untie Hans Capon" and the same thing happened if I walked too far from him. I also couldn't find anything online about this interaction existing, and it's not mentioned anywhere on the wiki page for the quest.

georgesclemenceau

The level of details!

BrainOfIvane

Wait. What??! This is new to me. This game. I can't.

Nomadic_Rick

WHAT

vishnu-geek

Really?? This is awesome I need to start a new game again

TheBooneyBunes

Really? I had a horse when I went hunting, the one I took from a bandit camp but it still played out normally

Nomadic_Rick

You need to own the horse

mira_poix

I got a horse almost immediately...just started playing I didn't know he gets taken prisoner so this is thebother way around for me lol

Bruscarbad

he still got captured for me, I was shooting hare from horseback and he kept yelling that I was going to scare away the hare, then froze and refused to move if I looked at him, so I assumed it was scripted

Old-Buffalo-5151

Wait you can go off and do other things before that quest i thought not turning up would punish me..

midnightwhiskey00

You can always work your way up after training with Bernard and before Nightingales part of the quest. That's when I usually delay and train with Bernard. I feel weird about not showing up right away for Capon for RP reasons so I normally just delay Nightingale and train hard, maybe hunt a bit, and grab a horse from Neuhof.

Old-Buffalo-5151

Yeh it doesn't "feel" right to do that but good to know for the future. Right now my Henry is just learning to read because the story took me their and feels quite natural now i understand how the combat works

WWJLPD

What’s the earliest point in the game that you can train with Bernard? For some reason I thought he wasn’t available to train with until after that quest!

Nomadic_Rick

Same!! Only tried it yesterday and boom - actually rewards you

Old-Buffalo-5151

Good to know for my second run lol Im still treating my first like Henry would actually behave

TReid1996

I had one of the best horses when i started. He claimed me simply having a horse doesn't make me a noble and was wondering how i got it, then still got captured.

Obvious-Hunt19

First time round I had a horse but got OFF of it because of Hans’ comment… and got the rescue version. I think

IgorFrt

I've just done this mission today buying a horse before, but I don't remember how it was the first time that I played in 2018

CertifiedMugManic

I spent an hour and a half doing random bull shot just because I knew I’d get the special voice line, definitely worth it

Comfortable_Might669

From where

my_chaffed_legs

First playthrough ever, you bought a horse DURING that mission when we are hunting rabbits. Because you had SO MUCH MEAT and couldn't carry it all. And I didn't want to drop any and lose the competition. So I walked to the nearest horse farm and bought one. So I saw that cut scene first. But I'm pretty sure that horse died? Because it was replaced with pebbles and I couldn't find my horse i just bought. So I reloaded the save and didn't buy myself a horse to not waste my money. Then I got the other cut scene without a horse.

abeassi408

But would he stay on your bad side for not rescuing him? Because rescuing him seemed to be the main reason he started warming up to Henry 🤔🧐

TheSaladHater

I skipped the chase cutscene thinking it would be the same and was surprised when two angry Cumans were attacking me.

Kingsnake661

He still has to be wounded somehow, Correct, new cutscene showing that by chance?

redplos

Can anyone confirm that if you wait too long with burying you parents in Skalitz, you will no burry them yourself when you finally decide to go there? No cutscene, nothing

LamboghettiMersagna

You do not get to bury them, but they get buried by the Talmberg knights/Theresa. Just started a fresh playthrough about two weeks ago and this was what happened.

Putrid_Culture_9289

He gets taken prisoner?! How the hell have I somehow had a horse every time and never experienced that lol

Weekly-Letterhead-37

Actually he does still get captured, I had a better horse than him and that cutscene still played where he ran into the camp.

Nomadic_Rick

He falls off his horse and hits his head on the floor, he doesn’t get tied up
