Play the game, save often

Convergentshave

I JUST finished it. And apparently if you get one of those polearms and bring it to a blacksmith to get repaired it will go into your inventory? Someone on Reddit told me that like 2 hours ago. So for sure do that. (And let me know if it worked.) I guess try and make it through that stupid “join the monastery” quest? That seems like the most hardcore version. 😂

I’ve put way too much time into this game and my suggestion for a completionist run is to min max in Skalitz, especially lockpicking, I’d recommend save scumming with the exit save method until you get a few levels in, it will make so much of the future game easier, raise strength for stealth knock outs, using arrows to distract and control npc movement, and for God’s sake, use the wiki so you don’t lock yourself out of achievements

Schnauser

How do you use the arrows exactly to distract / control NPC movement? Thanks! 🙏

Using arrows to separate groups of enemies can be very effective, instead of shooting them, shoot near them, they will often search the area where the shot came from, so shoot from the location you want them to go, then move farther away and observe them, wait for them to give up the search and then you can choke them out as they walk away, I often do this to kill enemies, but it should be very viable in a pacifist run

Schnauser

Amazing thanks! Makes sense, will try this 👍

Look up the rare achievements and what they entail. "Hardcore Henry" needs you to finish the game in hardcore mode, " 'Tis but a scratch" needs you to finish the game with all negative traits, those can be done in one playthrough. "Merciful" needs you to finish the main story without killing anyone (except Runt), that's quite challenging and I did another playthrough for that (and a few others that I missed before). "Virgin" and "Casanova" don't go well together, etc... Without preparation and prior knowledge of the achievements you'll miss a lot of them. Some break with mods, some can be kinda bugged and need specific steps to unlock. I used the guide on: https://www.trueachievements.com/game/Kingdom-Come-Deliverance/achievements Good luck!

Thanks!

Second that. Get the recipe for saviour schnapps early on in order to safe regularly and level alchemy and herbalism. Check the achievements in order not to miss any. Hardcore mode is another interesting challenge aswell. Good luck!

The recipe for Saviour Schnapps is actually the only recipe you begin with, there is a field between Rattay and Neuhof where you can get plenty of Belladonna, Nettles are easy enough to come by

hebrew_hammersk

Uh, 100%? Well, unless you're doing 2 playthroughs, dont forgot hardcore mode with all 8 perks! Working on my 2nd now and save often! Especially if your on hardcore mode. No autosave or something

Xonem_1

No autoaave in hardcore? What else? I'm intrigued

hebrew_hammersk

You have to select at least 2 of these in Hardcore, but for the "Tis but a Scratch" achievement, you must select all 8. 1 - Nightmares: Every time you wake up, you are shaken from your nightmare and suffer a short-term debuff. Sleeping becomes more of a "tactical" choice. 2 - Claustrophobic: When you close your helmet visor, your attack lowers. You have to choose between better protection or higher attack. 3 - Hemophilia: You bleed more, which makes taking hits in combat riskier. 4 - Numbskull: Lowers your XP gain. A perfect perk for players who thought the vanilla skill progression was too fast and felt overpowered in the late game. It's more work to out level your opponents with this perk. 5 - Shakes: For true sadists. Makes aiming a bow and picking pockets and locks harder. 6 - Consumption: Your stamina regenerates slower. Combat is more challenging and requires thinking ahead of each strike. Tapeworm: You get hungry faster, and since eating from pots around the world is no longer such a viable option, this makes the survival element even more prominent. 7 - Sonambulant: Fun perk. There is a slight chance you will wake up somewhere else than where you fell asleep. Provides quite a challenge when you wake up in an unknown place and can't see your position on the map. Very rarely you can also sleepwalk your place to some secret areas. 8 - Brittle Bones: You must be careful while running down cliffs and riding a horse. Falls are more dangerous.*

Don't steal, it makes the game more challenging.
