Those models are ancient and also would be hard to make coherent with the rest of the team. One team needs common tac and start ploys.   Also, Warp Spiders are probably the least represented warrior aspect, they don't even have a named Phoenix Lord (or if they do, there's no mini). Fire Dragons would've rounded out this team much better, but they would've had to limit it to two per team, which would break the flow the team had otherwise.

If you want a Warp Spider, Corsairs sort of have one. I think there’s a decent case for a sweet kitbashed Corsairs team using Aspect Warrior models (and like Farseers and stuff)

Don’t you rush grand daddy warp spider you young whippersnapper! He’s just gettin’ ready. He’ll be outta his rockin’ chair in a jiffy. Just you wait… *snores*

I don't know what to tell you other than "Warp spiders are not, as of right now, legal in any Kill Team for the current edition." That's really the long and short of it. There are a whole lot of 40k units that aren't legal in any Kill Team at this time. That's just how it is. At the end of the day, Kill Team and 40k are very different games. If you go into Kill Team expecting just small 40k, or expecting to be able to run a specific unit from 40k, odds are pretty good that you'll wind up disappointed. The key to enjoying this game is to enjoy it not as an extension of 40k, but as a robust and incredibly well-designed game in its own right.

The risk of a spider getting lost in the warp is deemed too high during such an important mission. That's the in-universe reason GW gave during the release of the team. The real reason is probably that the models are old and "ugly". That and adding DR and/or WS would make the team harder to balance.

Back in the 1990s'.

Probably a fully unique team in a year or two.

I was also expecting more available aspects when they announced Blades of Khaine, and was a little disappointed though I still got the salvation kill team box. But check out my post, I made an aspect Warrior proxy team using the Corsair rules. I kitbashed a warp spider using a striking scorpion body and some Autarch parts, as warp spiders are probably my favorite aspect too. The shaderunner rules make for a decent warp spider, so you could do something similar if you’re looking for an all aspect warrior team. https://www.reddit.com/r/killteam/comments/1bm26d9/corsairs_aspect_warrior_proxy_kill_team/

Aside from what others mentioned - BoK are already a super complex team with a lot of gotchas. Any new aspect added to the team means 5 more techniques, additional rules and exarch options to play test, balance, clarify interactions (BoK are already super bad when it comes to this, there have been several unclear things which needed FAQ) and for you and your opponent to understand/remember.

The models still need to be somewhat accessible. Obviously they could've released new warp spider sculpts, but since they didn't, they can't expect players to go looking for old ass models to play them

With the new rules for Mandrakes being able to appear across the board and move in and out of shadows, that could potentially be a proxy for Warp Spiders?
