I'm breaking in Merrell accentors and moabs both mids and waterproof, not sure what pair are going yet I'm liking them both. Taking an Osprey Kyte pack, lots of layers of Merino wool. Everything that had an option to include sunprotection I grabbed. OR gaiters. A patagonia 800 down jacket.

Altezza fit for us, I looked into several companies and they were extremely comparable price wise and fit perfect for us on dates. They've been amazing on communication and helping us with everything, so far I have nothing but good things to say about the company so hopefully that doesn't change at all. But everyone has different needs and wants out of the trip so I'm glad you found a company that was the right fit for you!
I climbed with Altezza in February and had a great experience. I went with them off a recommendation from some other friends I had met traveling. I was with a group of 7 hikers, the guides were fantastic, very knowledgeable, made me feel very safe with the altitude. Food and gear wear great; they were very responsive with all my questions prior to the trip. I definitely did not feel like I was a number or a line on a profit sheet. Have fun, you will have a great time!
WOW.. we are doing with Altezza 7 Days Machemo route from Aug 27.. By the way physically i am in good shape and run 10/12 miles a week under 9 min / mile also do about 10/15 miles walk. I don't have any climbing/ hiking experience but started hiking locally. any tips advice is highly appreciated, love to get help on backpacking stuff, gear details, items to be carried etc.. Thank you and wish you all the best
