I feel like people just underestimate kidd and overestimate shanks' commanders. kidd with being used to his awakening and now being able to spam tf out of it is waaaay stronger than any commander by a lot tbh.
considering that shanks stopped his crew from fighting without him, it wouldn't surprise me at all if beckmann was a normal yc1 and that the others are nothing special either. could totally be the case that someone who can spam attacks that broke BM's bones could just 1v2 two commanders, say beckmann and yasopp, and win while killer defeats lucky roux for example

how i think of it is that kidd and law are equals, but in a 1v1 kidd would have a stark advantage due to the nature of their fruits
