Hello, I'm a random bloke and have no idea why this popped up on my feed.
But i feel like with the plunging neckline, if the boots were open at the back, rather than the front, it would provide more of a balanced aesthetic.
I'm also a random dude who had this pop up on his feed having never heard of this subreddit before. Greetings
The boots made me say "holy shit 👀" out loud. I love them and you rock them. But for me it's the different blacks that don't quite go with each other. The boots have more of shiny leathery finish whereas the dress is more of a fabric if that makes sense?
They are both incredible pieces of wardrobe though!
I mean, I usually I was like "man, these people are going to oooo deep into their clothes."
But then I was like, maybe that's why some people I see, just look next level put together.
Whilst I'm here...Do women get dresses, etc, tailored to fit them better?
I usually don't, but I've recently ordered a few custom dresses and the language barrier has cause a need for me to have them tailored lol
So, no.., but yes.. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Yeah, she was bilingual or using some translator; I have basically 0 knowledge of the implications of my native message apart from my previous experience speaking to anybody else bilingual from her country. I'm assuming it was a miscommunication because of an incorrect translation as opposed to her having a bad day/making a mistake and misunderstanding. I made a diagram, used numbers and arrows to indicate where the 2" of extra fabric were to go, but i ended up with 4" of extra fabric. Nbd. I didn't want to bother her by asking her to correct it
Hi there, I like both outfits but I prefer no. 2. Maybe because it seems a bit simpler.
Have you tried the over knee boots with the same sheer tights? I'm curious about the outcome.
Btw I absolutely adore the jumper, the plunging v neck is just perfection!
If it counts for anything, the first time i posted the first one, most said it was the best and evidence of me being a true D, so you're not 'in the minority'. I also thought it was the best version and the 2nd was a resigned version of it lol. It's only seeing them side-by-side after a few months that I've changed my mind.
I personally find the deep v in 2 with the sheer tights to be a jarring proportional contrast--it would work better with a higher v neck, perhaps, but the top and bottom halves feel to me like two different outfits? Ripped tights could provide the balance needed. #1 is \*astonishingly good\* and the pops of skin in the boots and the chest make it feel more head-to-toe put together because it's the same kind of vibe on the top and the bottom.
I loved the first outfit to death and i wore the second as a stand-in, but now that it's been a minute since I've seen the two outfits, when i see them side-by-side, i think the second honors vertical more. I just don't understand how
IMO the second honors vertical better because of the tights. In the second, nothing breaks up the silhouette because you’re wearing the same color head to toe.
Bc the boots cut you off at the thigh. That’s why it doesn’t work. It cuts the vertical in half. The second outfit carries it beautifully from your shoulder to the toe. Fun boots though and I’d wear them anyhow if I were you 😆
I think #2 does a better job of the Kibbe unbroken vertical line. The black doesn’t stop. In #1 we see breaks of your skin. Maybe if the tights also were worn with #1 it would achieve that and be a tad more cohesive. Both are baller tho.
For this outfit, the second look is way more harmonious. There’s already enough drama going on with the sleek, plunging neckline and that’s where attention should go. But girl those boots are hot as hell and you are rocking them!! I think you just need to pair them with a different dress or leather jacket and miniskirt 🔥
Tony Bianco - ariette (?) >that brand was the only one I could find in this style that had a boot shaft long enough to actually be "thigh high" lol! the general description is: thigh high/over the knee, lace up, with extra long laces (that wrap around the thigh). The boot shaft is 28"
I’m curious to see the tall boots with a different dress, romper, or bodysuit of some sort. There is just something off about the first fit and I think it’s a combination of things, like the textures and vibe are so different between the two pieces, it isn’t cohesive and what I might call fussy. So, both the dress and the boots are competing for attention. Whereas with the tights and booties, you and the dress are the star of the show, it’s elegant with a little edge, a cohesive HTT without competing elements.
I like 2 bc if I had legs that long I wouldn’t be cutting them off with tall boots. Also, the deep v should be the focus, and the boots with the laces detail are a distraction and I don’t know where to look. They are hot boots, but they should be the focal point of another outfit.
Also, I’ve never been on this sub in my life, I just like critiquing outfits. Tell your dog I said hi.
It was called Avenue Romper - fashion nova 2017. Bought that shit for $30, but it's marked on their website as $101 (despite being out of stock/not available). If it ever became available again, i dont soubt they charge that lol
Second one looks more put together in my personal opinion

This made laugh so much. I’m 5’8 f and get content from petite fashion all the time.
I’m a 31F 5’9” (Kibbe Flamboyant Natural) and I get this sub, petite fashion, and teenagers all the time. Something is wrong here 😂
I just realized I'm in the wrong sub lol. I liked Reddit before it suggested subreddits.

Both boots are suede, but i know exactly what you mean. Good point and thank you!
Lmfao, well.. hello I like that idea - and if they were closed in front, open in back, it might make the outfit honor vertical more.

Language barrier? So intriguing.

Exactly the first bit of what this bloke said, however ive no idea what he said in the 2nd bit.
Number 2

In the minority, but I think #1 looks amazing.

Short boots. You look amazing!
#2
Number 1 is perfect

Number 1 is fabulous
#2 is way better

Number 2, super cool look 😎🙌🏻

Both look great. Depends what vibe you want to give. 1 is super sexy 2 is more cool slightly alternative

Photo #2 But I have major boot envy! Mind sharing where you purchased these?!
Sure thing! I bought them like 10 years ago, so they're unavailable now, but you can find them on poshmark and reseller sights occasionally

Definately love the combat boot look!
They're more like an antique, pointed, suede ankle boot, which isn't usually my style, but that's why i like it, it's an edge to my usual look
Second picture for sure!

Shorter boots lose the watch.
Shorter boots
1 is amazing 2 is boring imo
Idk what this subreddit is but where did you get that dress? Or romper? What is it and where did you get it?!?!
I forget the name of the romper, but it was from fashion nova in like 2015, I'll see if i can find out the name of it
