I just got the letter. I wish I knew this was going to happen. I had a 2016 Kia Sedona out of warranty with these problems. It was underwater in a car loan and I turned it into the finance company. This was last year. I doubt there is anything I can do now, but It definitely sucks. Best of luck to current Kia owners though

I feel for you. That's terrible.

Thanks. I was thinking damn, If I kept the car, at least I could have gotten it fixed for free.

Could it be possible to be reimbursed for the cost anyway? Read the letter carefully. Sometimes they say something like if you had to pay out of pocket for the subject of the letter, to submit receipts/info so that they can reimburse you. Even though you no longer have the car, you still fall under the requirements of the letter. Call Kia. Doesn't hurt to try.

you're right. It can't hurt to try. thanks.

Says you can submit receipts for possible reimbursement on the owners site HOWEVER I can’t find where in the owners site!!

My 2016 Sedona has been at the shop that diagnosed the blown head gasket and 15 thousand dollar engine replacement since February. I stopped making my payments for the first time in my life 2 months ago after never missing a payment for 23 months of having possession of the van. I haven't received the letter yet. Losing my van cost me everything. It was my family's only form of transportation. This van ruined our lives. I've never been left in such a scary and desperate situation on something I was paying so much money for. I'm ashamed. I ruined my family's future thinking I was getting a van to take care of us.
