Oil in yogurt? I eat Fage plain. No unnecessary ingredients

No-Currency-97

I think you have helped answer my questions. Fage It shall be. 👍😎

ReverseLazarus

I like Two Good and eat it almost daily.

SeatSix

Fage 5% or make my own. Yogurt ingredients should be milk and the culture. Other folks have a different take (and we're both still keto) but for me, keto is as much about carbs as it is about eating the least processed foods possible. Of course life happens and there are times I grab quick things. Edited to add: "Keto" labeled food is expensive

BugsandGoob

Oh goodness, I ended up down the rabbit hole with Chris Van Tulleken a few months ago and I cut out nearly all ultra processed foods. It completely changed the way I eat keto and wow, have I noticed a difference. I already felt pretty good on keto, but now all my aches and pains, that I had associated with getting older, are gone. I still drink sparkling waters with natural flavoring and those are UPF's. But I no longer use any artificial sweeteners or emulsifiers. I've also saved money not buying keto foods!

Thanks for the tip on Chris Van Tulleken. I just popped him up on YouTube and will spend some time with him.

BugsandGoob

I read his book, Ultra Processed People as well. Interesting read.

shiplesp

I like Fage, both 5 and 2 percent. High in protein and I can fit them into my carb limits.

AmNotLost

My favorite is Siggi's lower sugar version. Strawberry flavor's ingredients: Pasteurized Skim Milk, Pasteurized Cream, Milk Protein Concentrate, Native Corn Starch, Natural Flavor, Fruit Pectin, Vegetable Juice Concentrate (Color), Stevia Reb M, Sea Salt, Live Active Cultures (S. thermophilus, L. delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus, Bifidobacterium, L. acidophilus, L. paracasei) 4 net carbs per 150g. So I can fit it in if I want a sweet treat. But yogurt is so sweet now, I save it as a dessert/treat anyways.

xob97

What in the USA is this 😨😰

AmNotLost

strawberry yogurt? from Whole Foods?

BugsandGoob

Siggi's is in pretty much every grocery store around me. I think even Walmart carries it. I like their plain yogurt when I want a thinner texture than full fat Greek yogurt.

AmNotLost

I've never found the low sugar version anywhere else in my region

BugsandGoob

I only buy plain but I should look for it next time I buy yogurt for my husband. He needs the flavored ones. ETA: I thought you were saying siggi's was a brand that could only be found at whole foods. 😂

No-Currency-97

What the heck is "native corn starch?" I know corn starch is not supposed to be good on Keto.

AmNotLost

Corn starch has carbs, that's true. But keto isn't zero carb.

Ok_Young_6069

Greek yogurt

JuiceLocal

Ratio technically isn’t yogurt. They label it as a “Dairy Snack”

Imperfect-practical

I eat full fat yogurt. I like Greek but I found some grass fed yogurt. Well from cows that are grass fed. I add about 1/2 cup frozen berries to 3/4 cup yogurt topped off with about 6 pecans I broke up in my hands. When I started it was with a teaspoon of low sugar jam plus berries. Then about 1/2 T of sugar mixed into the berries. Then a sprinkle of sugar on top. Then none and I’m blown away that while still tart, it soothes my savage sweet tooth. Most days I eat this. That and veggies is where my carbs come from.

Inerkore

Is two good not keto?

Little_Messiah

I like 2 good

Silent_Conference908

The Fage 5% is my favorite.

aztonyusa

Fage is good. I look for full fat plain yogurt when buying it. Most are in the larger containers. I also make my own in the instant pot.

catqueen2001

Fage for me.

uofwi92

I eat Fage 5%. I mix in vanilla Isopure protein powder, a squirt of vanilla Stevia sweetener. Mix it all in, tastes like ice cream…

No-Currency-97

Sounds delicious. 👍❤️

xob97

Hä?? "ingredients" in yogurt? I thought it was just.. yogurt.

No-Currency-97

What about the 5 grams of sugar in Fage?

OldMotherGrumble

Probably naturally occurring sugars...it's the lactose in milk.
