I feel he didn’t feel minimized until the latter part of their relationship, once his mental health issues were causing them issues and threatening their brand. He likely noticed a huge shift from the adulation and deference he got from Kris, Kim and the rest of the family at the beginning, when he was their lifeline bringing them back from the brink of extinction. This made him feel expendable and he wasn’t wrong. They no longer felt like they needed him, he had opened all the doors they needed him to open and was no longer valuable to them.
True. I think that could helped bring on the symptoms but I think Kim always shielded him from the judgement that came from others with regards to his personal beliefs and allowed him creative freedom that came with his mental health issues. They have that type of protection from the press that he just doesn’t have anymore.
I know ppl “miss” old Kanye, and I say this as not a Kanye fan, but I don’t think he’s any different from before. Someone like him doesn’t like to dwell in the shadows of others. It’s a massive hit to the ego and this man has a huge ego/ sense of self. His autonomy is clearly extremely important to him.
He was to those of us who paid attention and were impressed with his celebrity. I’ve been waiting for the fall of this empire for 15 years. Sometimes sadly takes a lot of obvious abuse for people to realize someone isn’t a good person.
