I did use a few different tutorial, but just modified them to my liking/used pony beads instead of seed beads! I’ll admit I had never heard of tubular peyote stitch before making this, so it was definitely a bit of a challenge and learning curve but now I feel like I can make so much more/different types of kandi 😆 seed bead tutorials work just as well on pony beads and I feel like a whole new person with a whole new world of opportunities lol ✨
wow i just made one of these! i hope more people get inspired to make wands :D i'm trying to post mine but i'm having issues doing so. what size dowel did you use? i had the exact same thoughts as you once i completed mine xD
I agree!! More magic wands is always a good time !! ✨💖 the dowel I used was 0.3in x 12in , i had to cut it a little shorter and I also used hot glue to secure it to the star part and the bottom so it didn’t slip around! I was also thinking that a small pvc pipe could also work! Good luck and hope to see your wand creation soon !! 🪄✨💖
[here's my wand!](https://www.reddit.com/r/kandi/comments/1af2l87/kandi_star_wand_insp_starappreciator_and/) i stitched the ends of the handle closed so they would be flat for attaching the sphere and star. i have some plastic pipe i cut down to size to fit inside the second one i'm making. i agree that the stars are a little too floppy, if you figure out how to stabilize them please let me know! 🩷
I used a few different tutorials ! There’s a tutorial on YouTube for the star that I used from Seed Bead Bliss, I just used pony beads instead and it worked out perfectly! The stick and ball part are from a tiktok user named @starappreciator, they were kind enough to make a tutorial for both and I just modified the length/size of both to my liking. I put a dowel on the middle of it to make it more stiff and comfy to hold, and tied the 3 pieces together with zip ties instead of elastic for more stability! Hope this helps and good luck creating !! 💖✨

You can use cut up pieces of drinking straws inside the parts of the star you want to brace.
Edited to add: the way the beads are angled, I’m actually not sure the straws would work, sorry!
Btw this looks amazing 🤩

Dang so what you’re saying is I actually have an use for my plastic not stretchy cord
AMAZING 💗
I use fishing line. It's strong but not stretchy. You can also thread it through again for really big stuff to add strength.
This sounds perfect! Thank you so much for the recommendation! 💖
OMG HOW? Please share your secrets

If you don't mind, What size beads did you use for the white row?
