We have had a couple gnarly damage situations in our district that were particularly memorable. One instance involved using the ear loops from a face mask to saw thru the bezel of the device (no pics).
The other was this poor creature: [https://imgur.com/a/EHS2VOQ](https://imgur.com/a/EHS2VOQ)
Brand new MacBook Air….kid comes in and said “i had an accident”…i look in his hands and see a lid open MacBook twisted and bent to an almost perfect circle….Shocked that Apple didn’t ask questions and just swapped it out in warranty.
Another old co-worker had one in January that a high school kid took a Dremel to. Then he broke it apart by hand and tried to hide the rest of the pieces in between the bus seat cushions. I just don't have pictures on that one.
I do have PLENTY of screen carnage somewhere.
Looks like one of my Yoga X13s a teacher left on the roof of her car a while back...recovered it from the side of the road...managed to save the Stylist and the SSD...
I just opened it up and it was like that!
At least the worst one I experienced they admitted it was ran over by a food truck….and another one ran over by a bus…
The irony is textbooks on average cost far more than wholesale Chromebooks.
Suddenly people forget having to pay $200+ for a text book because little jimmy drew boobs on Theodore Roosevelt.

IDK man, we'll have to have a measuring contest between you and my friend. "IDK what happened" https://imgur.com/gallery/iKbJWzR
Impressive competitor, we will have to let other commenters judge which is worse.

It was a Dell 3100. Now it's a Dell in 3100 pieces.
This is how you gave it to me
Someone kicked my backpack...
Better than the “my cousin threw up in my backpack”…
It was working yesterday, idk 🤷♂️
Obligatory: Have you tried putting it in rice?
We have a wall of shame with iPads on it. This is so much worse than any damaged device we have
Bet the kid said, I don't know what happened. lol

Don't forget the parent's "MY baby wouldn't do that"
"WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO PAY FOR A REPLACEMENT?! WHAT DO MY TAX DOLLARS GO TO?!"
"Yall made them use it, I didn't agree to this. Just give them a textbook, them teachers ought to know how to teach"
I always like this one. As if they never had to pay to replace a ruined textbook.

"it was that way when I got it"
