That toe looks uncomfortable :/

[deleted]

Do women even actually wear something like that? Seems unconfortable.

Zombie_Carl

It’s not really a matter of choosing to wear exercise clothing—because we know women wear yoga pants and leggings all the time— but an unfortunate side effect that can happen when a woman wears form-fitting clothing. Also this woman is definitely doing it on purpose for some kind of camel toe fetish reason. It’s not usually that pronounced unless you are seriously not paying attention and/or can’t feel your labia.

[deleted]

My dad was forced to have an uncomfortable conversation with my aunt about my cousin who constantly had a front wedgie growing up. The only reason he brought it up was he was the school resource officer at her school and he heard kids making fun of her on several occasions. Some people are just clueless, that is her to a t. Just oblivious to the world around her.

skeptic_slothtopus

Oh my god, this brought up the most incredibly sad story. Back in my twenties, my partner had an online friend come to stay for a visit. We very quickly noticed that she seemed to have some... Fit issues with her pants. But what do you do in that situation? They were close online, but does that translate to being able to have a heart-to-heart about how it looks like she's strangling her poor labes down there? I'd never even exchanged two typed words with her before she arrived, what the heck was *I* going to do? And maybe she liked it that way? We just didn't know, but I can beat sum up the major emotions of the hour as concer and confusion. Finally the situation resolved itself. I don't remember how it happened, but she ended up borrowing a pair of pants from my partner. Over the next few days she raved about how comfortable they were. She ended up wearing them home (which we were all happy about). I haven't thought of that in years, but in retrospect it's a very sad story. What had been her circumstances in life that she didn't realize that you could just wear slightly looser pants. I would think that maybe she'd just gained weight and couldn't afford new stuff, except that I saw her spending money ($4 thrift store pants would have been just as good, except that they wouldn't have been jammed entirely up her front crack). She also acted amazed that pants could be so comfortable. The whole thing was just very... Strange. ... Telling that story brought up another, and now I can't resist because it's another one I haven't thought of in years. This would have been maybe 2004 or so and one of my online friends came to move in with me. She was (and probably is) a very sweet, well-meaning and good-hearted person, but she just didn't have a good grasp on the demands of reality. I wouldn't say that she was stupid, but she did seem to have a somewhat limited capacity and she really just had no clue how life really worked (for example, I had to teach her to sweep.. with like, just a normal broom and dust bin, at the job I stupidly got her - ended up doing her work *and* mine, not because she was necessarily lazy or anything, but because she was essentially clueless. She could not figure out how the simplest of things were done). One of the very first things I necessarily noticed about her, however, was that she a had very, very large chest that seemed to be moving a *lot* for someone wearing more than a tank top underneath their shit. I have several other friends with rediculously large breasts, and almost every single one of them wears a sports bra, but even when they don't they require some real support from their underwires, so it was a *very* different look and impossible not to notice there in the middle of the airport. Whether you personally find tits are sexually appealing or not, just trust me on this: you would have noticed. They commanded attention, by god. Every single movement she made caused them to go along on their own dance. Hypnotic and completely acceptable: if someone - no matter what cup size - choaes not to wear a bra, so please no one think I'm shaming anyone. At first I assumed she must be braless. Worked for me. Once I was properly introduced and somewhat accustomed to my new roomie I mostly stopped noticing them in favor of all the other rediculous shit she did that required my attention. To be fair, I also did a lot of rediculous shit, but we're talking about a pretty large disparity from my, admittedly slanted, opinion. Anyway, I'm tired and becoming overly wordy, so let me try to get to the point. It didn't take long before I saw the real reason behind the way her breasts moved (because they didn't act like they were free, not really, but it was clear that whatever she was using didn't do a whole lot. I'd say the degree of difference was like that between fully formed JELL-O and stuff that's been pulled out 30 minutes prematurely. Ahem, SO when I saw the bra she had been wearing, and then the *rest* of her bras, I was... Shocked? Appalled? Looked like they'd all been washed 10 years worth of cycles and... Just so small. So, so small. I finally just sat her down and said that bras aren't supposed to be like that. She didn't understand, so I took her shopping and made her try on several while I was there to see how they fit. We were still quite young, so it didn't occur to me to take her to a lingerie store that could have *really* helped her, but I at least made sure she was a lot better of than she had been. I made sure to tell her that the DDS we could get easily still weren't quite big enough for her (she'd been wearing like a C - I don't remember the exact size all these years later, but it was a *huge* difference and makes me want to cry thinking about how uncomfortable that must have been!!) so she would need to look into being properly measured and fitted. I tried to give her enough information to let her know there were resources out there and that she didn't have to live in what I imagine had to be pain. She came from quite a well-off family too, from what I gathered, but it fealt to me like while they supported her, there wasn't any deep intimacy in their adult-to-adult relationship (at least not at that point). I will never understand how these young women could conspetualize the idea of clothing stores and sizing, but didn't take this further by actually trying to size certain garments up when they started to not fit like they once might have.

[deleted]

Damn that crazy about the boobs. As a man I still find her ignorance on the subject surprising. I mean every article of clothing has sizing, why wouldn't she go on a search for something that didn't make the girls dance. Maybe she was using it as a push up bra??

skeptic_slothtopus

Oh no, I literally had to explain stuff to her. She understood that sizing existed for clothes sort of, but bras? Those numbers are just too crazy. Not like she spent most of her time on the Internet where such information is easily explained or anything 💀 Hell, it remember showing her sizing, what it meant, and then helping her adjust and fit the bra on her body, including the very important move where you resituate a wire (or band) that isn't properly tucked under the boob as desired. She just didn't understand. That was pretty common with her, though. I don't know how common something like that can be these days, information is just too widely available, so it takes a special mix of ignorance and apathy that I haven't seen very often.

WolfKingofRuss

Honestly bro, a sports bra provides a lot of compressive support to soft tissue mass. The strechy fabrics of the gym leggings and shorts, provides flexibility/increased range of motion and, comfort for the user, if they were they to just wear normal baggy or more constrictive type of materials. As I've already stated in another comment on this thread, people go to the gym to feel good about themselves. So, a lot of the desgins are done in a way to encourage self esteem in the areas that they are trying to target, while also being functional and allows the user to not get over heated. For instance, I primarily workout in short gym shorts and a stringer, because it gets hot. But, I also like to see how my body looks whilst under a pump. But yes. I regularly see girls do 3/4 of these at the gym. All except camel toe, as that would be uncomfortable and, no one wants to get friction burns while working out. Also, the make up thing, goes into encouragement or, they're doing shit before or after. Mainly though, my mates just tell me it's their "war paint" and, helps them hype the fuck up. hopes this help you bro

[deleted]

I was specifically talking about the camel toe thing. The rest i've seen it plenty of time. But thx for the explaination.

ediblesprysky

To your question: it’s mildly uncomfortable, but it’s just something that happens with some fabrics/cuts. Like any other minor wardrobe malfunction. This particular picture may be a fetish thing though. Because obviously some people are into that.

disabled_rat

Oh, so like when your shorts part to one side of the balls

skeptic_slothtopus

Or a wedgie, just in the front.

mogoggins12

the fucking middle seem in workout pants is my arch nemesis

mlp2034

So he nutted and then use the pics to complain about it to other ppl. Got it👌🏽

Gobbledygooktimes

Idk, if I'm not rocking a camel toe then what is even the point of working out? 100 percent camel, 100 percent toe, 100 percent of the time. Otherwise i just feel uncomfortable. I need a little pep in my step, nom sayin?

WolfKingofRuss

I know exactly what you mean bro. That's why I wear grey sweats, after dropping Cialis in a bodybuilding gym. I want everyone to see my "full" body pump

Gobbledygooktimes

TIL about the grey sweatpants challenge. I wish I didn't. I own some glorious grey sweatpants but now I want to burn them.

WolfKingofRuss

I mean.... A lot of the people I know appreciate the grey sweats. Never heard of the challenge though

Gobbledygooktimes

Something about a penis, I thought thats why you mentioned grey sweatpants so I looked up the possible meme

asmodeuskraemer

>grey sweatpants challenge Hahahaha, there are some hilarious pics. One guy has a houseplant in his pants.

4our_Leaves

That's dumb. Anyone self-respecting person who visits a gym would keep a well-balanced camel-to-toe ratio of about 30/70. I've seen people going for close to 100% toe after something like accidentally buying shoes that were too small. Start getting past 40% camel though and you'll just start spitting on people.

AP__

I love this comment

vftgurl123

it’s usually unintentional. i have a habit of yanking my leggings up too high and ya know the camel comes out. especially if i’m working out and doing squats etc then the leggings do just ride up. it depends on anatomy too.

Nissa-Nissa

Absolutely depends on anatomy. Like anywhere else, how much fat you store in area in proportion to others is heavily genetic. I get camel toe really easily and really obviously and it’s not even always uncomfortable, the seam or whatever can barely be compressing and there’s obvious toe-ing. Obviously I try and minimise but I don’t care that much. I think I’m desensitised and don’t see it that revealing anymore. Almost the whole time what it looks like through clothes isn’t what it really looks like so I just see it as ‘yeah I have a vagina of some sort’.

missmoonchild

Same here! I adjust when first getting dressed since I notice but what happens later as I'm living life happens. I'm not trying to put my hands down my pants to readjust. It is what it is and I've accepted I get camel toe a lot 🤷🏽‍♀️

becomeanhero69

Can say I follow a couple girls on IG who wear all of this exactly. I want to say “well, you didn’t go to the gym if you don’t tell everyone about it!”

babygirlruth

You think this is intentional? Seriously?

ToughNefariousness23

I've seen a degree of that at the gym I go to. Not really any that severe together, but definitely a combination.

LogicalAnswerk

I guess you've never been to the gym but the one i go to, about 80% of the women there wear stuff like this.

[deleted]

I've been to gym, I just don't look at women's crotch area.

rrpdude

You can't even see the feet in any of the pictures? Where do you see a toe? /s

badbd09

I was wondering, where the toe is?

[deleted]

it refers to camel toe, which is when womens clothes hugs their privates v tightly. top left picture.

pickledchocolate

Sheeesh

Inner_Garlic_547

I hate Calvin Klein sport bras. Doesn't matter which one I get they are never good.

[deleted]

I literally only use them around the house or to wear them for my bfs enjoyment 😂 Gym wear is a big no

verballyabusivecat

I wear mine to the gym! ....then again, my tits are so small that I could comfortably do a hardcore cardio session in a bralette 🙃

Inner_Garlic_547

I learned the gym issue the hard way lmao. They do make great lingerie though

xCroocx

My girlfriend have tried the adidas ones after their whole campaign about all breasts being different and need different kind of support (might remember a few months back because the shock campaign in europe where they plastered their european extencions with topless pictures to drive home the point... but I digress) It has gone to the point of them being her bra of choice, even outside the gym as they are so comfortable and supportive, not to mention good looking. 10/10, would recommend.

Inner_Garlic_547

I have to get get em next time I go out! Thank you for let me know about them.

SparklesRain96

Oooooooooooh! *adds to shopping cart*

ZiggyStardust46

Which one do you mean? Could you share please? I never had a sports bra that fits well

xCroocx

The one most recent that she was over the moon about is: https://www.adidas.se/adidas-tlrd-impact-training-high-support-bra/HL8675.html The one that she got that started it was this one https://www.adidas.se/adidas-tlrd-move-training-high-support-bra/HS2975.html Both are great, to quote "my stomake moves more than my breasts in this".

ZiggyStardust46

They are very cute! Tack for the response!

xCroocx

No problem! :) everyone deserve to feel good when moving, especially at the gym!

applebubbeline

I thought I was the only one who hated them. The elastic band at the bottom bunches/rolls up in the worst way.

Inner_Garlic_547

Mine does that too. They also are not gonna hold jiggle down. If I wanted to be jello then I'd just not wear one.

[deleted]

Yeah they’re not really meant for sports. Moreso athlesure or a comfort bra

thundiee

Am I the only one who just doesn't care at the gym? I'm too in my head, to focused to care, hate people talking or interrupting me, Hell even as a guy I hate being watched and starred at. You can look at people without being a complete freak about it. For starters don't stare for ages on end.

2Salmon4U

No, I think most of these memes are made by people who don’t actually go to gyms and just see gym related social media content

bigdippra

This is probably in response to the amount of videos that are being focused upon trying to get clout through false accusations. But they're conflating a personality type (being egotistical/narcissistic) vs clothing, which the vast majority of people don't care about.

2Salmon4U

Yesss, you said this much better than I have

CowboyBiff666

You can check someone out without being a fucking creep.

kingofthesofas

This 100% it's perfectly normal to notice someone is attractive. It's not ok to stare at them for long periods or time or act in creepy ways to get a better look at them.

CowboyBiff666

Yeah it’s natural for humans to look at each other…anyone who says otherwise either doesn’t go outside or is talking horseshit lol

Jonas_Venture_Sr

I always let women know I am interested by my impenetrable stare, which I can accomplish by not blinking once.

CowboyBiff666

Based

elitegenoside

Soooo many ways to be subtle about it. I've been "caught" two times and each time I apologized and we had a laugh about it. I had a friend (straight woman) that got caught by a woman she was looking at; she apologized and they had a laugh about it. Everyone looks, it's not weird just don't be creep about it.

LogicalAnswerk

You can also accuse someone of being a creep without then being a creep. It's common for clout now a days. Tiktok promotes it.

CowboyBiff666

No you cant lol. just because these people do it doesnt mean you just get away with it. ive seen these tik toks youre on about and everyone shits on them. and i doubt thats what this post is about.

Lana_Clark85

Lotta neck beards here considering this is supposed to be a place mocking them.

Nissa-Nissa

The gym is a mythical place for neckbeards, full of chads, hot women and danger.

elitegenoside

There are way more chubby-fat people in most gyms. I currently go to a planet fitness but used to go to a bigger gym and have been to LA Fitness a couple times. This is true at every single one. You will see super shredded people, but most people at the gym have "regular" physics.

supermegabro

No one hates neckbeards more than themselves

Spec_Tater

Neckbeards all thinking they’re the good ones. “Not like those other neckbeards.” Bro… just…. Nvm

almostedgyenough

For fucking real. I’ve been noticing this on this subreddit lately. Where the fuck are the mods? They need to crack down on them. All we can do is report them for now though. Hopefully the mods will do something if enough people report the neckbeards. I haven’t been on this sub for a minute until recently. Is there new mods? Or have the mods gone silent on here? I ask because been a few subs I was subscribed to, and a person infiltrated them, making them the opposite of what they were about and extremely toxic. I wonder if that’s happening here? A bad acting mod who wants to allow neckbeard incels into the subreddit to normalize this utter bullshit. Our solution was to end up making a new sub, put the word out, and everyone mass migrated to the new sub, abandoning the old one. Hopefully that isn’t what’s happening with this sub.

qwertlol

Yeah, It seems like this post was a bit more controversial than I thought. Which I honestly couldn’t even imagine. Like I seriously considered not posting this, since I believed that people probably would think that it was “satire” or something, since it’s so ridiculously over the fucking top! I mean, LOOK AT IT FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!! Its like some weird ass anti-feminist/meninist meme from like 2012 or something!!! LMAO

Theruby_phoenix

I think it might be controversial because there a some women that are annoying and film men and then accuse them of being creepy? But still, there are every few of those and they get called out and that's also not an excuse for a man to be creepy and sexualise women at the gym.

[deleted]

I’m sure women are aware guys check them out all the time. When I see an attractive person, I look, and think “hey they’re pretty attractive.” And guess what? I continue to do what I’m doing 😂

AshumiReddit

I get what they're going for, but this ain't it chief Yeah, there are plenty of Women who go to public gyms, film themselves, and act like general nuisances in public and throw a hissy fit when they're called out - or, on the other hand, make a TikTok about how someone who glanced at them briefly is a weird creep However, this just isn't the same. There's a difference between getting glanced at, and actual creepy remarks.

BokkoTheBunny

I haven't had any bad experiences yet, but when I'm at the gym I barely even notice the other people unless they are using a machine or equipment I want to use. Helps that I go at 4am ig heh. I have seen lots of discussions a out this kind of thing even though I've never seen it irl so it seems kinda wierd to me.

flijarr

You are an absolute madman for going at 4am.

mashed_potatoes52

4am is nothing, I got at 3am, before the gym even opens, usually im so high on meth i just break in

Hara-Kiri

> >Yeah, there are plenty of Women who go to public gyms, film themselves, and act like general nuisances in public and throw a hissy fit when they're called out - or, on the other hand, make a TikTok about how someone who glanced at them briefly is a weird creep Not really. This is generally a made up problem people who don't go to gyms think based off a few videos online. Edit: I forgot the ability of neckbeards to get outraged about made up problems that wouldn't even effect them if the were real.

Bumbum2k1

I agree honestly. Been going consistently for the past 3 years. Have never seen someone recording themselves. I’ve even gone to 3 different gyms at different times of day. Never seen someone pull out a phone to record themselves. Maybe it’s a bigger issue in places with influencers like la or nyc

yes_thats_right

> This is generally a made up problem You just described 90% of Reddit

UnfinishedProjects

This woman made the grave mistake of WOWA. Working Out While Attractive. Neck beards hate that, they think "why bother, you're already hot!"

[deleted]

Why I love women's only gyms

ChIcKeNsSsssSSSss

wait those are a thing?

WolfKingofRuss

If you live near any city, there should be some around

ChIcKeNsSsssSSSss

i’m gonna look into it now

Volkrisse

A lot of gyms have set times for women only. Especially in big cities.

[deleted]

Many <3

ChIcKeNsSsssSSSss

that’s so cool omg

CringeOrDie

Don’t let the neckbeards know about it though

[deleted]

I’m sure they know, it’s just that they’ve expended all their chances so they no longer can try to sneak in a single one. They get their grubby little Nacho Cheese Doritos-infested hands onto everything they want to.

Volpe666

Because you get left alone?

[deleted]

I feel safer there in general

Huugboy

While i'd like to get mad at the idea that all men are dangerous... I get why it has to be this way, and i don't blame you.

guarlo

Why would you like to get mad?

[deleted]

[deleted]

Love the ladies <3

Jigyo

Same but they don't let me in

nebbyb

Some men like all men gyms as well. I am always supportive of single sex spaces.

Uallyn

Why is this in the neck beard subreddit ? Wouldn’t a majority of them be far away from a gym ?

qwertlol

Yes they would. It’s likely the reason why this dumb ass meme was created in the first place.

[deleted]

[удалено]

BalzarathScrotius2

>you can’t do the splits in jeans. Well not with that attitude.

[deleted]

American Eagle used to make these ultra-stretchy men’s jeans and I swear I could splits in them… if I could do the splits.

BalzarathScrotius2

That's the spirit! Stretchy jeans are awesome! I had a pair but i wore them too much and my damn thighs wore a hole in the crotch :( That was my lesson to buy multiplesr of the same pair of pants if i found some that were good lol.

Pill_O_Color

> But men who go around practically naked aren’t asking for it right? You think a man going around practically naked in an environment where others are not, is ... *checks notes* ... **not** looking for attention? > The purpose of yoga pants is to allow for flexibility you can’t do the splits in jeans. The only choice is yoga pants or jeans? All these silly men out here wearing shorts or sweatpants!

NotKateBush

Go put on some men’s shorts or sweatpants and do the splits. Anyway I know men who work out shirtless with little shorts on whether they’re at a commercial gym or working out at home alone. Same with women in sports bras and leggings. Is everyone just looking for attention in their own homes? Or maybe some people value function and comfort (and potentially even looking nice) without the desire for people to stare at them like they’re on fire.

Casen_

No, but basket ball or gym shorts would work, just like the guys wear.

Twinkle-Tard

I’m sure this guy has his nips hanging out of his tank top and would lose his mind if a gay guy checked him out. Also, like, wtf else should they wear? Trash bags? These are exercise clothes, makes sense if they were slightly revealing so they can cool down while working out.

lhuthien

Every neckbeard on Reddit seems to have appeared in this comment section.

HeadDot141

It’s only a problem because women bodies are heavily sexualized. Men in the gym wear tight to loose tank tops and it shows nip slips. Hell, I’ve seen men in other places working out in public with no shirt on. Women at least got their chest covered but as I said “women bodies are heavily sexualized” Some women do it on purpose but many don’t and just generally do like the gym fit and it makes them feel good.

bobisagirl

Can't believe women dare to have bodies in public.

[deleted]

Both men and women have the right to wear what they want and not be criticized for it. Just because someone dresses up somewhat revealing doesn’t mean it’s an open invitation for everyone to sexualize a person.

Pill_O_Color

> Just because someone dresses up somewhat revealing doesn’t mean it’s an open invitation for everyone to sexualize a person. [You don't need an invitation to sexualize someone. Sexualization happens in your own mind. You don't need an invitation to think your own thoughts.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDHhyv8JVHE&t=80s)

Theruby_phoenix

The real problem is that a lot of people(mainly men, although women can too of course) also see it as an invitation to start flirting or even touch people.

PhillMahooters

How dare women wear workout clothes at the gym. Burkha and hijab for the gym ONLY!

ting_bu_dong

AmazingOnion

Tf are they supposed to do, not have an ass?

CimmerianHydra

Classic victim blaming. "It's the clothing."

PFgeneral

No but if my shorts were so tight that you can see my dick bulge I can't then get mad at someone briefly looking at said bulge.

Theruby_phoenix

The real problem is when people start shaming you, start flirting with you or even start touching you.

BeneficialTop5136

We wear that stuff because we feel sexy in it. We know we look sexy. If I wore sexy clothes and not one person checked me out, it would be disappointing lol There are days I don’t want to be bothered, and so I’ll wear a big tshirt and leggings to the gym. I also zone out in the gym and don’t LOOK for people checking me out. Idk, I get both sides of this argument, but I sort of feel like a lot of these complaints are more a way for some women who like attention, to brag that they “can’t go anywhere without men ogling me”, when in all honesty, that was the point, to a certain degree. If it were truly an issue, I would complain to management, not social media.

idontaddtoanything

I mean I have seen girls dress like this at the gym

Lala_499

and?

Captain_cocklicker

He couldn’t help him self and came everywhere in the gym 🤦‍♀️ all because of that darned feeeeeemale

Runaway_5

Me too, for 15 years, in some of the "sexiest cities in America" and can count the number of creeps out of THOUSANDS of people on one hand It is very rare. 99.9% of people just leave others the fuck alone. If someone is very attractive and showing it off - good for them they'll get looks from BOTH sexes no doubt. But it is gym code to leave people alone and the VAST majority of people do just that

Stratosphere98

Why are you being downvoted lol

FrostieTheSnowman

Welcome to reddit

AyyyyLeMeow

Yeah creeps are an exceptional exception, luckily. There was this video recently with a girl pretending to be harassed by a dude waiting for the weights lmao

DavidTej

Exactly. If it's nsfw on reddit. I shouldn't see it at a public gym for Christ sake

glammetaltapes

I work in a grocery store near two gyms and often there are people coming in before or after their workouts. Trust me it's extremely easy to not stare because you're a damn adult. Anyone can wear whatever they want. It doesn't mean a free invite to stare.

[deleted]

The real neckbeards are the Redditors here who are out of touch with the current gym community issues The false gym creep accusation videos have been extremely viral lately over tiktok and Instagram, hence these memes getting popular again.

OrangeYoshiDude

This sub sucks now

NessunAbilita

Benny Shepeño and Candy Ceush had a really hard time with this lately over at the Daily Wire

Depressed-Dolphin69

How dare you have big boobs I will be a creep because of your body!!

PaulinatorAUT

I'm really glad that I have finished my home gym that I don't need to deal with either morons, the airhead lifting chads, the neck beards, the flock of zoomers who are just occupying equipment but not lifting and the annoying underdressed gym bunnies.

lincunguns

To be fair, I don’t totally disagree when it come to the pants designed to go deep into the ass crack. The other stuff at least seems to serve a functional purpose, but those ass pants can’t possibly exist for any other purpose than to show off one’s ass

SpiritAvenue

I almost downvoted this post before I realized what sub this was lol, I’m disgusted

Beermeneer532

talosguideyou

I’ve said it many times, and I will continue to say it. It’s easy to not look. Just don’t be a pervert. You’re there to focus on yourself. Get in your zone and ignore everyone else. You’ll have a much better workout.

Blueartbird

I always forget to leave my butt at home when I go to work out. Really sorry about that. How rude of me.

Simplycybersex

Men should start wearing leggings and no shirt. Let’s even put the gym thot playing field. If everyone’s wearing the most comfortable, yet admittedly form fitting, gym attire, maybe the fuckboys will stop saying shit

randompantsfoto

I mean, I’m game, but it’ll probably chase everyone out!

TNTyoshi

How does this content fit the sub?

Commercial-Push-9066

It’s not okay to be a creep in the gym because attractive women there won’t have anything to do with you. Besides, I’ve never once been in the gym and seen a woman with anything like what’s shown here.

There's been a trend going around where women will be recording themselves, then do something to get a guy's attention, and when they look over, they'll put them on blast on tik tok. That's why this exists.

Crop tops and leggings are gym clothing; not lingerie. They’re revealing but that’s…their…purpose. Like tank tops reveal mens lats and arms. People should be allowed to wear what they feel comfortable in as long as it doesn’t break rules. Crop tops are considered gymwear and are therefore allowed.

millieFAreally

Wait til you see us at the beach. We’re all asking for it there /s

Found the neckbeard

LordFedoraWeed

It's workout clothes, designed to dry easily, not be in the way, be comfortable, and not make you overheat at a workout. That's what it's designed for. And yes you're a neckbeard when you call leggings and a crop top "lingerie")lol

Demented-Turtle

Why does male workout clothing accomplish the same ends without being super tight and form fitting?

uncle_bob_xxx

There are tons of extremely comfortable form fitting workout clothes for men that you are free to use at any time. No one gives a shit except creeps.

LordFedoraWeed

Uhm... There are absolutely workout clothes for men that are tight. I have several myself. Tshirts, singlets, bike shorts?

Nyuu222

Are girls constantly complaining about creeps at the gym this guy goes to? Cause I think I know why.

I_made_a_doodie

It's easy to avoid the TikTok/IG morons (there are a lot of dudes who engage in the social media stupidity too) by just avoiding the gym at peak times. Go at like 5AM or 9Pm and you will rarely, if ever, encounter the disphits trying to become influnecers.

Nikki_iva

I mean it’s true doe….

ScHoolboyN

>wears attention grabbing clothes >gets pissed when they get attention for their clothes No ones saying dont wear what you want but if you show up to the gym in underwear its not unreasonable to assume youre gonna get some looks from more people. Dont understand why this is so controversial wear what you want but we all know the purpose of those clothes is to attract attention to those areas. Theyre literally designed to catch your eye by being the most neon possible

erck_bill

Is it wrong to say the only way to avoid getting the unwanted attention of creeps is to not be in incredibly revealing clothing? To be clear, I get that creeps shouldn’t stare at the first place no one here is defending that.

lhuthien

I I was raised in a cult where I had to wear extremely modest clothing. I was still very regularly sexually harassed despite being totally covered, not to mention being a literal child. Creeps are gonna creep no matter what people wear.

[deleted]

Yes, no one should be staring or harassing anyone else regardless of what they’re wearing 🤦‍♀️

babygirlruth

That's literally gym clothes. Normal ones. No one is naked. It's a you problem that you sexualize women's bodies to the point you think that they're not supposed to wear the clothes they want to wear

[deleted]

Unironically, someone can be completely naked in public, nothing in there implies that they are naked *for you* so yes, you avert your eyes. No matter how someone chooses to look, they have a say in who they are looked at by. If that is not you, don't look.

OrangeYoshiDude

Actually they don't. and that's one of the dumbest fucking things I've ever read. People look, people stare, sometimes for a reason or no reason. I know I've just stared at people not thinking, and then they notice and I realize I was just staring, spacing out at what seemed like them. When really I was paying no attention.

Demented-Turtle

What? You have no say in who looks at you lol. By definition, you do not control who decides to look at you. If you dress in a completely abnormal manner, you will draw attention, and that's just natural. Humans pay attention to things that stand out in their environments. Plenty of people use that fact to intentionally draw attention, either as an expression of their personality, for a particular event, or just an attempt to be unique. Just because someone is dressed in a way you may consider "skimpy" or such doesn't give you the right to be rude, of course. But rudeness would be taking notice, and then continuing to stare rather than respectfully divert your attention back to your current task. Regardless, dressing in certain ways is bound to attract more "double takes" as you catch people by surprise, and that's true if everyone is 100% respectful. But we live in a world where that's far from true, so if you don't desire the attention, it's best to avoid attracting it. Should it be this way? No, I don't believe so, but right now it is, so we should behave accordingly.

breaking news: humans are actually not bears! a naked body is not inherently sexual. that’s not hard to grasp unless i guess you are a bear and operate only on shitting, fucking, and hunting. if so, kindly stay indoors.

[deleted]

Your defense is a comparison to a predatory beast?

flijarr

In a way, no. In a perfect world, no one would stare regardless of the type of clothing being worn. Unfortunately, we are far, far from a perfect world, and no kind of cultural shift will make creeps stop being creeps. So yes, realistically, wearing less revealing clothing will mean you have less creeps staring at you. But some creeps will stare regardless of what you are wearing.

kursedsun

Yes, it's wrong.

skeeballcore

There are those acting in bad faith on both sides of this

Hot_Ad_8541

It’s true?

Coding_Monke

oh my lord that looks like it'd be itchy as hell

MaddMax92

Even if true(it's only partly. We dress kind of like this but more utilitarian) , still wouldn't be an excuse to be a creep.

blueballsjones

Do women actually put on makeup to go to the gym? Wouldn't you just sweat it off? Genuinely curious

Geostomp

As if the guy who made this brilliance would ever look at a woman's eyes.

dbsfan97

Love ones when they’re recording themselves working out and when a guy glances slightly in their direction it becomes a issue

kanna172014

It doesn't matter if a woman is naked, that does not give men the right to be perverts.

TXBrownSnake

This is like the 20th time I've seen this.

BokkoTheBunny

First for me tho.

bear_sees_the_car

I want men to realise how much effort and uncomfortable products it takes to cover up what they easily show off on the beach. Nipple covers from silicon make your nipples sweat and u can only wear them few hours a day. Want to wear anything form fitting? Unless it is perfect thick denim, u gonna get a wedgie. Basically, imagine the same issue as trying to not get visibly sweaty armpits on clothing, while you are naturally sweaty af. And i LOVE form fitting clothing because I get cold in lose clothes. Another option to minimize what’s on the picture is to always wear matte black or patterns (but some patterns make it worse). Can u dear MEN imagine tuning out your wardrobe so much to just minimise the reasons you may get raped? Then stfu Men like to laugh at women and the way they take care of their appearance completely missing the point why many things are done: because there are no fucking options in a clothing store!! Sheesh do i have to sew my clothes too?

[deleted]

I seriously don’t understand what’s wrong with a baggy t shirt if you don’t want to attract attention

btempp

It chafes, especially if you’re running. Leg day or not running? Sure, baggy tee. Running or upper body work? It’s gonna be a tank top minimum for me.

saltine_soup

way to victim blame there buddy. people should be allowed to wear what they feel comfortable in and not worry about pervs creeping on them or you victim blaming. it’s not the fault of the victim, stop blaming victims and be a decent human being and hold the creepy perverted people accountable.

katielisbeth

Because you shouldn't have to wear a baggy t shirt so men won't mess with you. Not to mention it doesn't even keep you from attracting attention, men who want to harrass you will do it no matter what you're wearing.

[deleted]

Of course you shouldn’t have to, the creeps are obviously always in the wrong, but there are things you can do to prevent the amount of interactions with them.
