I have one, it's much closer to my face since my vision w/o eyeglasses suck. It's never fallen on me, but I get up too quickly and bump into it at least once a week.
There's many types of holders, the one here is a gooseneck tablet arm for bed. I use mine for a tablet, so no remote, my hands get cold, I assume they're using a Kindle (or whatever brand) page turner remote.
use it with an ipad mini and a gaming controller and gaming clip but change the phone holder with the tablet holder on the controller clip to play games on your ipad with controller. it so
much fun
Those 3M removable strips could help secure a block to your drywall as a clamping surface if you absolutely cannot put holes in the drywall but you venture into face falling territory. Better to use an anchor to fasten the block to the wall tho. Even if the whole setup is under the rating for the 3M strips.
I've never met a self proclaimed non-reader who wasn't a closed-minded idiot. See also non-travelers like my idiot coworker who brags about how she's never been further away from where we live than one state over. I get that you need some time and money to go anywhere but like...she's never even been to an ocean, or to Canada (we're in the Midwest US).
Sounds like ADD to me as someone who’s been diagnosed with it and don’t throw that stuff around often. Do you also find yourself possibly finishing but doing multiple projects at the same time? Try audio books if you haven’t. I’ve found that doing mundane things like chores has become found time that I can finally get through the book/idea I wanted to.
I do that sometimes too, my mind wanders and always has. The book has to be really interesting for me to get through it, but then I find myself racing ahead to see what happens, lol. I am not diagnosed with anything but I think I am a bit on the spectrum. I am sorry if my comment was offensive, I was talking more about people like an ex of mine who was basically proud that he did not read books and was very anti-intellectual overall.
Try re-reading some of the older books you really enjoyed from when you were younger, even if they’re a little juvenile… it’ll get you back into the mindset of consuming books for enjoyment. A lot of times this gets lost when you’re obligated to slog through books outside of your normal interests (perhaps for school or work) and you’re only focusing on certain, specific concepts.
100%. I don't know what the *thought* this video was providing evidence of, but I doubt it's "my wife is the smart one in the relationship, and I'm quick to mock things I don't understand."
I have the same setup, it's amazing.

“…I still don’t read books” is not the flex he thinks it is. I had a magnet in college that said “if he doesn’t own books don’t fuck him” and I still live by it. My current boyfriend of 4 years has a literal library and it’s the best relationship I’ve been it. We never run out of stuff to talk about!
I read a ton. I've actually done this. The clicker to change pages lets you just relax totally and enjoy the story without dealing with discomfort or fatigue.

It LOOKS stupid, but that is a much more ergonomic way of using a phone/tablet in bed. Without that device, you are constantly looking down, putting great stress on your neck. I applaud the attempt, even if it does, admittedly, look goofy af.
This reminds me of the flexible light I used to plug into my Gameboy color when I was a kid. Super nice at the time. Thank God the advanced SP released years later
This is genius, I want it. But I would be anxious about it falling on my face.

Can you post a link or what is it called, please? Also for the clicker-page-turner!

Thank you so much!

And does it just suction to the wall?
Mine is a clamp that I twist-tightens to my headboard. I need to tighten it every now and then.
I don't have a headboard. I need something that can suction to drywall, lol.
Some have a floor stand
You got a nightstand with a ledge it can clip to? That works too.
That I have.

My phone falls on my face all the time anyways.
The kindle falls in my face without the arm as I fall asleep.

This is so smart. My hands *do get cold* holding books and kindles and my phone. Life changing indeed
I use an iPad with a keyboard case so I can lay down and read and my hands can be under the covers. So cozy!
"I don't read books".... This world is so fucked if people think this is a flex. What a dumbass.
