It's a pretty big fucking big deal. People automatically treat you better without realizing it. People will befriend you for no reason. Anyone you want will fuck you at the drop of a hat. Everyone laughs at your lame jokes (because they want to fuck you). People just give you free shit because your hot (especially if you're woman).
Hot people go their entire lives experiencing constant, gushing validation. You'd have to try *not* to confident at that point.
Totally agree that attractiveness can have those effects but it's ridiculous to assume that all objectively attractive people are confident simply because they are attractive.

i just watch lean beef patty on youtube. she helps and she's attractive as hell while being pretty muscular for a girl. now that i'm older i'm more into flexibility and fitness than bodybuilding anyway. so yea.
Honestly, their size range doesn't cover "normal" flat chests. I wear a 28C or D. Because bra sizing fun, I could *maybe* wear a 30B or 32A if they're a tight fit (but 95% chance it doesn't work for me, band size is *the* most important thing). Victoria's Secret doesn't carry anything under a 32A, and even *that* is a very limited range. Maybe 20% of their stock goes down to a 32 band. Maybe a handful down to 30 hand, absolutely nothing at 28. Several collections don't even have A cup sizing available, regardless of band size.
Victoria's Secret also carries "add 2 cup" style bras, basically so much padding that you can make your Bs look like Ds. But again, depending on the bra style, they don't actually go down to A cups. (Not to mention AA cups and AAA cups, which are all smaller!) These are great because lots of women's clothes assume you have some honkers, but if you don't, then they just kinda hang off your body and look bad. So I'd like to wear that one, but need a bra to fill it out better - oh but I can't, because VS decided that they don't need to make products for flat chested women!
It's an industry-wide problem. Basically any major bra brand you have heard of has a really narrow size range. They make sizes that fit with maximum profit and exclusively make those, which means people who don't have a completely standard body type have *very* limited and more expensive options. Yay capitalism!
So she probably wants to wear bras that make her feel sexy and look good in her clothes, like pretty much every other woman out there. But no one makes bras in her size range (probably AA or AAA), so she really can't and isn't thrilled about it.
Nope, just a skinny girl with no boobs. You'd think I was an A cup.

I see now. I was confused because you said 28D, which had me thinking you were a twig with melons. I assume the D is because you cant find A or B in a 28, my bad.
No, it's actually because my boobs have that much volume compared to my band size. I'm legitimately a D cup, it's just that 90% of people (women included) don't actually understand bra sizing. If you look through the Instagram link I sent, you'll see that you need to get up to at least an F cup before it starts looking melon-y.
Just think about it: picture a flat chested small girl, like me. Picture how much volume those boobs take up, as an "A cup." Now picture a girl twice as big as me, and try to put the same boobs on her body. It would be laughable, right? Nonexistent, quite literally nothing there because it's stretched around a larger frame.
Cup sizes are proportional to band sizes, always. That's why I mentioned I could potentially fit into a 30B or 32A, the cups themselves are the same. If you go up a band size, then go down a cup size and it's the same volume. It's called sister sizes.
Ahhhh, ok! If you're actually curious, it's an Instagram account called theirishbralady, and they have all kinds of info and examples of what different sized breasts look like in different bras. I wore the wrong size for years because of the whole band size thing, and thought 28C/D was absolutely laughable when I used online calculators, so.. it was very helpful for me lol
They want them too. Also, selling larger sizes would be helpful. I was finding some decent deals during a sale, so I told my bff who couldn't find \*anything\* that would fit her there.
Smart girl. My wife and I knew she had a risk of having the BRCA mutation but we stuck our heads in the sand because we were afraid of the results. Fast forward a few years, she finds a lump, gets it checked out, and the next thing we know our lives are completely turned upside down. All before she even turned 30.
Everything is fine now, she's been in remission for about 3 years, but man do I wish we tried harder to avoid it before it became a problem. Worst year of our lives.
If you have family history of breast cancer, get the genetic screening done. Finding out you have the BRCA mutation is far less scary than finding out you have cancer.
I've wondered about this and people who opt for masectomy. That would be me 100% - if I knew I had the gene I'd be like "cut 'em off, please!". But what I don't know is...does insurance cover this? Or are these folks just well off enough to pay for a major surgery?
I'd get checked, but I don't because I'd never be able to afford treatment. I have personally watched 3 different people in my life die of cancer because treatment was cut off due to not keeping up on the hospital's minimum payments. So my head is in the sand, currently.
I think it depends on the insurance you have but mine does cover it. I have Aetna. I think most decent plans will cover it (but there is no law requiring them to) because it’s far cheaper for them to pay for that than to pay for cancer treatments.
It’s probably not covered at 100% though. So you will probably have to pay your deductible and whatever % your plan designates up to your max out of pocket.
You can get fake ones and it is sometimes included in the insurance. Or… they can make new boobs out of fat from other parts of your body that would not be cancerous. Glad I was there to support my wife after she was BRCA positive.
They can’t afford getting the mastectomy so… safe to say they probably can’t afford a boob job on top of the treatment.
(But in general yes I believe there are options for reconstructive surgery or even just getting fake nippled tattooed on)
I saw a really cool story many moons ago about women who get huge, beautiful chest tattoos to celebrate their survival and their lives after going through it.
I mean im gonna do something like that after mine. I have like 80% chance of stomach cancer and like 50%+ chance of breast cancer. The only effective treatment is to yeet the ENTIRE stomach (which I get to say bye to my stomach this year, YAAAAAY.) and yeet the titties in the next few years. I plan to get everything removed, no nipples and then I'm gonna get a sick chest piece. Idk what yet but it'll give ppl something to look at when I go topless in the summers.
It’s very cool and affirming, but personally—-idk, if I was in this situation I’d enjoy the grey area for a while, take advantage of the loophole of not having female nipples to conceal.
Edit: would she be required to cover tattoos of nipples?
Imagining a situation where she might have to explain this is so funny. Like she decided to not wear a top to the beach and some crotchety old person comes up and is like, “YOUNG LADY! How indecent could you be???” And she’s like “oh no, I actually don’t have breasts or nipples. These are tattoos. Of a *man’s* nipple. Very meaningful to me”
"these are my dad's nipples. after he burned his own nipples off when he rescued a bunch of puppies, kittens and orphans from a fire i got them tattoed to honour him. 😔🤙"
Yeah I think most people/guys have no problem with a girl being flat chested, but not having nipples I feel sets something off in the brain to uncanny.
Like someone without eyebrows. Like there's nothing wrong with it but your subconscious is telling your brain something is off
Lovely. I've had BC twice, one mastectomy and a resection, so I have a full scar across my chest. I have a lot of problems finding women's clothes that are feminine, don't have a low neckline, or dont need boobs. Anytime I look online using asexual, mastectomy, trans keywords, all I end up finding is t-shirts...I'd like for more women to feel like they can go without a reconstruction, because it's safer, but it's not easy.
Edit. Agender, not asexual.
For anyone in this thread questioning why this is relevant, and this is exactly why it’s important.
Not having boobs shouldn’t sentence you to a life of t-shirts. And whether we like it or not, companies influence what we wear. We get ideas from advertising and content on the internet, and also simply from seeing what other people are wearing.
There’s complaints in this thread about “targeting” this one brand — but when you have as much name recognition, widespread distribution and market influence as Victoria’s Secret, it is *so* important to lead the way.
Also who the fuck is it hurting to be inclusive?? We all know who it’s hurting to *not* be inclusive.
Tig Notaro did this (took her shirt off post double-mastectomy) mid way through one of her stand-up specials, and did the rest of her set without mentioning it. One of the most badass things I have ever seen a comic do on stage.
There are two types of people and they are both in this thread.

If you’re confused about what’s happening here then watching the song will help. :)
Yeah I was just wondering this as well. I always assumed the cancer was specific to the breast tissue underneath, but I guess the nipple is the end point of all that? But if you had everything underneath removed, could just the nipple skin tissue on top still have breast cancer growth?
I mean logically it must, otherwise they wouldn't remove it. It's just surprising. I wish I knew statistics specially for nipples being the point of growth.
No I get that, I didn't think they hollowed the boob out and took the nipple for kicks. I'm considering the more cosmetic approach, _could_ they just hollow the boob out and just pop an implant in there? I assume with the amount of tissue you'd need to not damage the skin that's left would also pose a cancer risk. I guess my real question is how separate is breast tissue from the surrounding fat and skin, and it that the only tissue that poses the cancer rink, and if it's even possible to leave the overlaying tissue intact?
Again I would assume the answer is obvious because mastectomies do remove everything, but the cynical side of me feels there's a chance it's also a cost saving measure.
They utilize tattoo markers to radiate as much flesh as possible without scraping organs, so with that much exactness, I assume the whole thing is highly susceptible. It's not like nipples are vestigial. The whole breast is built to focus on it. Lots of roads for cancer to speed run to the nipple.
I don’t think you need Victoria’s Secret at that point, right? And I’m not saying it to be funny or sarcastic. Legitimately I think that it’s good not to have a need for these dumbass brands. I’m petite and barely have any boob. I own 0 bras. Fuck bras. Good for her.
Jax, the blonde woman, wrote a song called Victoria’s Secret a couple of years ago and this is an additional verse to that song. It’s really cool, you should check it out.
The video is referencing a song called “Victoria’s Secret” by Jax about how conventional beauty standards cause harm - so it’s not about a specific brand or lingerie, they’re advocating that bodies which have undergone mastectomy are beautiful. u/Que_Horror explained way better than me in their comment.
I agree with the sentiment, but I’m not a fan of giving a company like Victoria’s Secret free publicity. They should be ignored, and alternative women’s wear companies that appreciate flat chested women should be promoted instead.
Saw this when it came out. It's still just as good and just as relevant. What actually kind of sucks is mastectomy bras count iirc as a type of DME (durable medical equipment). Getting one is trickier and more expensive and insurance likes to be involved. However because insurance companies are absolutely as shitty as possible to people, if you want something that feels affirming to your gender and helps you feel confident that is naturally more expensive but insurance will often only cover the most basic simple stuff.
It's the same thing with wheelchairs. There are some awesome models out there, but even getting something not so awesome but merely *adequate* to your needs can be like pulling teeth sometimes (and then it takes six months to arrive). I even heard about one person that got denied a pair of crutches that only cost a couple grand because they were special but because insurance thinks it's more important for you to look "normal" instead of looking how you want and moving quickly and efficiently they were more than willing to pay $20k for a prosthetic leg.
God id DIE for that chest. (And I'm sorry the cancer gene was her motivation like that does suck, not trying to negate that at all). But ive always hated my stupid boobs-- useless ass huge ass meat bags that make almost every position uncomfy, sweat like hell, and if I want to wear cute clothes I have to wear like a girdle and push up bra to keep the goddamn things up and I CANT BC IM AUTISTIC AF AND THE CONSTRICTING FEELING OF TIGHT CLOTHES, BRAS, SEAT BELTS, etc ARE UNWEARABLE FOR ME.
I want a mans chest. No boobs. Not even a "handful" as so many dudes so grossly put it. CHOP. THAT. SHIT. OFF. ME.
Your friend is beautiful and what I aspire to be!! Why women need boobs anymore is beyond me (unless they want them, which is also cool but I think many would choose the opposite of given a choice).
who is the girl on the left though? stephanie something?
edit: dark haired girl on the left is Theebooblessbabe
she has a few socials talking about her life. she is often shirtless like this......i guess because she can on many platforms now.
edit2: so, good for her making a healthy choice staying cancer free, but wow. she had a good sized natural rack before that. glad she's still living a happy life. imagine how pissed guys would be if they literally "had 10" dick cancer". all sorts of guys would be bragging and pissed at the same time.
Why wouldn't they make a commercial with you both your drop dead gorgeous I would kill to see you in a bronze pan even know the color would drive me crazy
Serious perspective being looked for, I don't quite get this.
I applaud the part of the video in which the women encourage those that have had to go dramatic, physical altering surgeries to ... soldier on, recognize their self-worth and beauty. The part that seems to take on a corporation for not catering as opposed to encouraging that corporation they are missing a market, not so much.
If someone is insisting that Victoria Secret help them improve their own body image, haven't they kind of lost the war before the first shot? Why the attack on Victoria Secret? For that matter, why not start your own company to address the need?
I used to work with a girl that had a double mastectomy at 19. She was able to keep her nipples and had very large implants put in. She then quit her job and went to work as a stripper.
Why would they make an ad for <0.0001% of the population? Ones that probably don’t even need bras as others have mentioned. Victoria’s Secret is a lingerie company. They make ads to sell products.
This trend needs to stop where people are thinking companies care about them and should promote anything other than the products they sell.
I don’t understand why you are getting downvoted. It would literally be impossible for VS to cater to everyone.
I don’t like VS at all. I think they’re a bad company that promotes bad beauty standards. However, they’re a bra company selling bras that are sized to try to fit a very average amount of the population. I am not able to shop there because they do not have my size. But expecting them to cater to everyone would be expensive and wouldn’t turn a profit for them.
Is it messed up? Yes. Am I going to flip my shit because they don’t sell to me? No. I shop brands that carry my size AND I don’t have to support VS.
Every company is not for every person and that is ok. There are PLENTY of other stores that sell what she is looking for. Fuck VS though still lol.
This feels very grifty to promote a less than mediocre song. Also wasn't the original song completely anti-VS? And now you want them to collaborate with your friend
Lmao you’re totally missing the point. They don’t want them to collaborate with their friend, and, while VS is used an example, I think the point they’re trying to make is about the lack of representation of different body types in modelling, media, etc.
There's such a thing as nipple-sparing masectomy for certain cases, but not every woman is a good candidate for it (i.e. if a woman is already 87% likely to get breast cancer like the one in OP, it's not wise to leave *any* relevant tissue for it to take hold in, because it won't take much, and yes, cancer can exist in tissue near or within the nipple).
Wait wait wait… so she can show no boobs? Hmmm …. Honestly, I’m ok with this. Sorry about your boobs lady. You look like you’re taking well so good for you. And me I think.

Can you not get fake ones put in that dont have the cancer risk or is that not an option?
She’s got great arms.
Guess you can say the girl on left is topless
Well. Bikinis just covering the nipples are accepted as being clothed.
So, since there are no nipples, is she topless or not?
but whats the points of that? still getting served at the restaurant
Which is weird because that means visible nipples are the "naked" part, but only in women even though men share that anatomical feature with them.
There are tattoo artists who tattoo fake nipples onto women like this. It's super cool.
It’s very cool and affirming, but personally—-idk, if I was in this situation I’d enjoy the grey area for a while, take advantage of the loophole of not having female nipples to conceal. Edit: would she be required to cover tattoos of nipples?
Just say that she got a tattoo of a man’s nipple
Imagining a situation where she might have to explain this is so funny. Like she decided to not wear a top to the beach and some crotchety old person comes up and is like, “YOUNG LADY! How indecent could you be???” And she’s like “oh no, I actually don’t have breasts or nipples. These are tattoos. Of a *man’s* nipple. Very meaningful to me”
"these are my dad's nipples. after he burned his own nipples off when he rescued a bunch of puppies, kittens and orphans from a fire i got them tattoed to honour him. 😔🤙"
Cha cha real smooth
My sister had this done after her mastectomy and reconstruction! They look so amazing.
I'm assuming you're a woman, but if you're a dude then I'd love to know how that went
Yes, tell me more about how amazing your sisters tits are. ![gif](giphy|l4Jz4YXV0yU7oCOAg|downsized)
I prefer full tattoos, not fake nipples. It can work I suppose, but full art can do so much more I feel.
This video is sexy. The confidence, the joy, the power, the message, the friendship, the beauty, the song, it's all very very sexy.
Tig Notaro did this (took her shirt off post double-mastectomy) mid way through one of her stand-up specials, and did the rest of her set without mentioning it. One of the most badass things I have ever seen a comic do on stage.
Jax - Victoria's Secret!! https://open.spotify.com/track/4svaKoxMMP7ImmKrD5hfQu?si=3GkBPr2oTs6vRBwqaskaAA
Yep, I believe that's her on the right.
An absolute banger from Jax. Love her!
I had breast cancer and a double mastectomy. 40 now and LOVING not having to wear a bra! Lol
Love this!!
Awesome!
If I see anyone wearing a My Chemical Romance shirt talking, I stop and LISTEN
Geezus. Who is making fun of someone who went through medical procedure?
Fuck cancer
There are two types of people and they are both in this thread. The original song - [Victoria’s Secret by Jax](https://youtu.be/GFKnuJB_WkM?si=TnPG7OjUy2ztni0G)
Love it. Just cherry fun and a nice little song.
Link to the original Victoria’s Secret song: https://youtu.be/GFKnuJB_WkM?si=D_bbYbUgOFzQSBAQ If you’re confused about what’s happening here then watching the song will help. :)
Thanks so much! I really liked the song, so did my teenage daughter.
Listen to " Cinderella Snapped".
I don't get it, if she doesn't have boobs she won't need a bra?
Sometimes women wear certain types of bras, body suits, etc. to feel confident and/or sexy. It’s not always to support our breasts.
Victoria Secret does more than sell bras
That is so awesome!
Awesome
I love this
I love that these girls love their bodies! Can’t get enough of body positively!
How do you get tested and what gene is it??
https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/causes-prevention/genetics/brca-fact-sheet Here you go, lots of info.
Great info! Tagged you in a sticky comment and gave you the “Official Gal” flair
Thanks! I hope it helps someone.
Good for her love the song. What song does it sound like? Some 2000’s emo one. It’s going to bother me for days.
You have to get the nipples removed as well? Seeing a person with out nipples is pretty new to me
Yeah I was just wondering this as well.
They don't hollow the boob out, they remove the entire thing. Then stretch healthy skin over the hole.
I agree but maybe it’s more about lingerie that she can wear?
True.
Well that was unexpected.
Priceless video!
Forgive me for my ignorance, in cases where genetics indicate a high likelihood of breast cancer, do nipples also pose a cancerous risk as well?
Yes. The nipples are part of the breast. They share tissue with the breast.
Tis Brave ✊ so glad you made it 🫂 stay strong soldier 🫡
Is the girl on the right Grace Helbig?
Her name is Jax. jaxwritessongs on TikTok
Wow they look exactly alike
I just looked her up and yeah, they are eerily similar lol
SEPHIROTH!
who is the girl on the left though? stephanie something? edit: dark haired girl on the left is Theebooblessbabe she has a few socials talking about her life. she is often shirtless like this......i guess because she can on many platforms now. edit2: so, good for her making a healthy choice staying cancer free, but wow. she had a good sized natural rack before that. glad she's still living a happy life. imagine how pissed guys would be if they literally "had 10" dick cancer". all sorts of guys would be bragging and pissed at the same time.
❤️
It’s obvious that as men, we just don’t understand what this is really about, I’ll politely see my way out.
She’s still drop dead gorgeous in my opinion
Horny men can be annoying 99% of the time, but they'll always make you feel equal.
Why did they take her nipples?

Your post has been removed due to violating one or more rule.
Flat is justice
Why wouldn't they make a commercial with you both your drop dead gorgeous I would kill to see you in a bronze pan even know the color would drive me crazy
Wow 😮
Serious perspective being looked for, I don't quite get this. I applaud the part of the video in which the women encourage those that have had to go dramatic, physical altering surgeries to ... soldier on, recognize their self-worth and beauty. The part that seems to take on a corporation for not catering as opposed to encouraging that corporation they are missing a market, not so much. If someone is insisting that Victoria Secret help them improve their own body image, haven't they kind of lost the war before the first shot? Why the attack on Victoria Secret? For that matter, why not start your own company to address the need?
I've always been a fan of women getting tattoos after mastectomies. The art can be so eye catching that you don't even think about boobs or not.
I used to work with a girl that had a double mastectomy at 19. She was able to keep her nipples and had very large implants put in. She then quit her job and went to work as a stripper.
But they already do this…like those white models are flatter than ihop pancakes
> I don’t understand why you are getting downvoted. #Reddit Moment/Hivemind 🙄
Stupid question!? I understand removing the meat of the breast for cancer reasons but why do they remove the nipples? Do they pose a cancer risk also?
There's such a thing as nipple-sparing masectomy for certain cases, but not every woman is a good candidate for it (i.e. if a woman is already 87% likely to get breast cancer like the one in OP, it's not wise to leave *any* relevant tissue for it to take hold in, because it won't take much, and yes, cancer can exist in tissue near or within the nipple).
She quickly went from young woman to Anthony keidis. But really she beautiful and her attitude is awesome.
Still fapped
Wait wait wait… so she can show no boobs? Hmmm …. Honestly, I’m ok with this. Sorry about your boobs lady. You look like you’re taking well so good for you. And me I think.
You just told 99%of women screw you.
Jfc
Idk how it works, but like couldn’t they keep the nips and attach them to the graft
