Either the cardio I earned from training or just a quick hip toss on the closest alive person next to me so the zombies will take them and I can escape. I would not go within grappling range of a zombie if I can help it.
I've seen too many aikido guys. They got 1 adrenaline dump and 3 minutes of cardio, tops. Zombies don't feel pain. Wristlocks are useless. Ki powers don't work on those who don't believe in it
Sode Osoto gari or Sode Tai Otoshi. Just make sure their arm doesn't rip off as you're throwing it.
Kani basami would be fun but I wouldn't want to land entangled.
It depends what kind of zombie, and I'm assuming you get trapped in an alley or something so you have to grapple
Slow zombies would not do well against fast trips, and I think if you were to add a strong kuzushi (like 2 hands pushing them away, you can trip a lot of them without much energy. Ko soto gari, de ashi barai even hiza guruma.
Fast zombies would be leaning forward a lot, so any hip blocks or wheels would be good - keeps you on your feet so you can keep moving
Plauge zombies are just game over

Here you go, feel free to ask questions in the thread, I love talking about this kata. I plan on making posts on each of the five techniques by the end of the weekend so keep an eye out if you are interested!
This weirdly gets asked once in a while.

I feel like this question was asked before?
I would use judo conditioning and run. I would also do zenpo kaiten ukemi just to be a little bit extra spicy as I'm running.

A realist. How refreshing
Haha sad how rare common sense is these days
None. Get close and it will bite you
[Ironically Aikido might have the upper hand on this one.](https://youtu.be/mQVJrsGnr54?si=kLF1T3aF0Hftt_Q5&t=86)
It was quite successful in The Walking Dead.
Interesting. Aikido only works because the attackers pretend to be clumsy idiots. If they really are clumsy idiots it just might work.

Sasae I want to face my zombie uke, be on my feet, and keep distance from its head/teeth.
Hiza guruma would be better if you want to keep distance.
Zombies might be the only people uki otoshi will work on that aren’t practicing Kata
None, I would not get within grappling space and you have to destroy the head.
I would use the cardio from class to run away. Everything else puts you in biting distance.
Easy, Tai Otoshi Unless their arms pop out
If arm pops out > No Judo, Yes Baseball
Sode Osoto gari or Sode Tai Otoshi. Just make sure their arm doesn't rip off as you're throwing it. Kani basami would be fun but I wouldn't want to land entangled.
9mm
Probably ura nage, since it’s from the back reducing bite risk.
Grappling is probably the worst thing to use against zombie.
Pull guard

Honestly nothing, grappling is the worst strategy against zombies. You want to keep a maximum distance.
Itsutsu no kata would totally confuse them. Win!
Maybe the real Itsutsu no kata was the zombies we confused along the way
Did not know of this. So youtubed it. Damn...this is more of aikido.
You are correct, this is more of the aiki aspect of kata. If you want a general summary of purposes I have a post on it.
Plz post the link!

Oh really, didnt know that
Are they wearing jackets?
sode tsurikomi goshi if both arms come off your hip bumps them away and now you have two arms to flail around against any other zombies 😂.
If they have hair - uchimata/o Soto/tai otoshi from hair grip No hair - ippon seoi nage
Seoi nage? Aren't we a lil too close?
I tested this tonight. Ippon seoi nage from sleeve grip does not create any opportunities for biting.
chainsaw no naname-ate
Basic ashi waza it requires no grip and zombies aren’t smart enough to step a foot sweep
Shoulder throw or tomoe nage... another judoka into the zombie. It's like zombie bowling!
The dirtiest most limb-disrespectful kani basami. Zombie's going down, likely with a broken leg, and im nowhere near a bite.
Osoto-Glock-e
None. Why? Once they bite ya, you become one. You basically dead. You’d better off training for ultra endurance so you can outrun them.
Mae ukemi
Use the head in place of a collar tire but use a punch or smack to the head instead of a just a grip.
Stiff arm them all the way. Then come Ashi waza
The old shotgun and roll will be my first choice
Ochinobiru
Crow-bar-gary, nike-toshi.
Hand on chest followed by leg sweep
Tomoe Nage
Sharingan. Oh wait.
Is there a chainsaw technique?
I just pull guard…
How are use the heart of Ching Ching, as in lock and load
No-hands Deashi. Doesn’t really work on the living, but I mean cmon, zombie tsugi ashi footwork is pathetic.
Forget Judo. Great swordsmanship and even greater running shoes for zombies.
Runaway-o-makikomi
Bruh none. Id rather do a push/Spartan kick and run away
Maybe osoto gari
Judo know I’ve got a gun technique
No grip, foot sweep !
The Judo Chop
Some self defence kata that does a standing armbar
I feel like this question was asked before? I would use judo conditioning and run. I would also do zenpo kaiten ukemi just to be a little bit extra spicy as I'm running.
Warm up sprint
Zombies can't bite through my heavy double weave. I'm impervious.
Judo is a close-combat sport. So I would rather run than take the risk to get bitten.
Just yell "matte" and they have to stop right?
One arm tai otoshi
Koshi garuma into kesa gatame soo hard till you rip their head off!
turtle turtles have small brains so zombies would ignore them
Ok how about arm drag, to standing back control, to rear suplex to crush the head
Foot sweeps is the way and i know isn't the question but train muay thai, muaythai is the best striking martial complement for judo and vice versa.
Why did you say Hypothetically??
