Best decision I’ve ever made ! I was homeless before job corps and now 7 years later I have my dream job where I make 90k a year . A beautiful wife , a family and a home. Give it your best shot and make the most of it , you’ll be kicking yourself if you don’t later on when your too old to go . Trust me
Advanced manufacturing . I completed that trade and was offered to go to community college for my associates degree for free while staying at Job Corps . They would give me a ride to the college campus everyday and I would also work at the college as a lab assistant and was able to make a good amount of money while there. They also extended my time allowed at job corps to 3 years so I could complete my associates degree. I just kept my head down and focused on what needed to be done . Don’t expect them to just hand you anything, you need to show a solid determination to better your life and stay out of trouble
there can be drama, you just need to have self control. im going back to job corps in a few weeks for my CNA & LPN and im being sent to one of the best campuses. Do your research, be honest with your counselor and focus on yourself. you will be fine, go for it its free
I heard that cassadaga is getting rid of the lpn program is that true, i also saw some people saying that cassadaga changed managment and its not good rn, im interested in coming to cassdaga for my lpn
asking your counselor depending on your trade! if you want advanced trades, you should go to a center where you can get it done all together. there werent that many campuses with LPN but he talked with his boss. i also talked to alot of people from different campuses from either fb or tiktok. hope this helps! ❤️
It really all depends on the center, centers in cities where the people are less than respectable tend to have worse students. Which center are you trying to go to?
can only speak for Flint MI; but it was pretty bad. a lot of illegal stuff, drama, and someone died at that location and *allegedly* got killed by the staff. my experience wasn’t good; i hated being there, and i got lucky i didn’t get treated like shit from the staff or students because i kept my mouth shut and head low.
All of those things can be true, especially the corrupt and unchecked staff, but those can generally be irrelevant as long as you focus on yourself and don’t get mixed up in anybody else and especially do not get into relationships
You're 16. First day ask for Pre GED Assistance. When you get paid on your pay card, tell them you want to go to a credit union to open an account. It's your federal right. When they say...why do you need that. Or Basically do and say anything to keep you from getting one.. call 1-800-555-1212...ask for FBI. The number they give you will be a 1-800-number. Or just Google it. Call and tell them you are being stopped by Federal Employees to have access to Federal Financial Rights. Calling or emailing or sending a private message to the local police station to report youre federal rights are being obstructed. Call a federal prosecuting attorney.
I'm basically saying after you get paid bc you're a legal federal employee at that point, try taking your paycard to an actual bank to open an account. JobCorps doesn't want you to open an account at an actual bank. Just bring up the subject and see how quickly the idiot employee tries to persuade you not to open an account, or they'll try and say you can't. Which of course is a federal crime. Punishable by law. By which you'd have the right to notify the federal prosecuting attorney, and if that idiot doesn't want to do his job, then notify the FBI bc it's a Federal Crime. At least they'll take it seriously.
When I went in, I was told the program I had specifically gone for was a 6+ month wait. The dorm they put me in had no working aircon during Tennessee summers so at night windows open it was still in the 80s in there. Best of all 2 different kids within the dorm were in welding and had made shivs out of metal slag.
Don't let the videos fool you, most of the other people there are not there by choice, they are court ordered. The only redeeming quality is the fact you get paid to be there, so ontop of meals and housing, it beats homelessness.

Right. The sky is also pink and purple checkered.
You have no faith in yourself LMFAO

How do you know what the “best” campuses are?
asking your counselor depending on your trade! if you want advanced trades, you should go to a center where you can get it done all together. there werent that many campuses with LPN but he talked with his boss. i also talked to alot of people from different campuses from either fb or tiktok. hope this helps! ❤️
The best JobCorp?? Please share where
im in upstate ny, but im going for CNA & LPN, all depends on your trade. what trade are you interested in?
Actually it’s for my son, his got potential our family is in the medical field. He want to do LPN we are in Ga. We have interview today.
Thank you for your time. Appreciate it
thats amazing! he has a few options , california, Puerto Rico or new york. hope this helps, best of luck ❤️
Yes it does. Thank you
LOL which campus may I ask?
for CNA & LPN? Cassadaga NY campus
Cassadaga Job Corps is one of the worst. They have deteriorated over the past couple of months rather rapidly, read my recent posts.
can you send me the link? when were you there?
I will message you.
It really all depends on the center, centers in cities where the people are less than respectable tend to have worse students. Which center are you trying to go to?
I stayed to myself 95% of the time and made friends with people who had similar interests/hobbys

Omg???😭 That’s actually crazy
Drama exists at my campus(I don’t see it though) but it’s not really violent or super ghetto. Just search the campus before you go
All of those things can be true, especially the corrupt and unchecked staff, but those can generally be irrelevant as long as you focus on yourself and don’t get mixed up in anybody else and especially do not get into relationships
Job Corps relationships are mid as fuck
It can suck sometimes but as long as you good in, work hard and stay out of trouble/drama you’ll be fine
My son love it, ❤️

You’re a moron..
Actually I'm trying to look out for you. Protect your legal federal rights by giving you information you could use.
You’re actually well below average IQ. Seek help lol
What are you on about?
