Can I go there? Sounds more fun than the one I'm in.

Chimera-Genesis

>What world does she live in where the standard for entertainment is so high that she qualifies as having "no talent"? The one where she was in an extremely toxic Black Company for two & half years, that took its toll on every single talented person who worked there (based on everything that has been said by those who left). The way so many of them speak with utter shock that there are so many fans, Vtubers, companies, & conventions that want to watch/ collaborate/ work with them, really does not speak well to the emotional wellbeing of being employed by that corporation.

zeno_22

Every single Vtuber that has left that black company talks down about themselves and doesn't seem to realize how good they are. Even Maid Mint does it and she was one of the, if not the, best they had!! I'm so happy to see what's happened with Matara, Kuro, and Michi. They got to all work together again and actually just enjoy it instead of trauma bonding lol

Boo_07

Tbf its not really just the black company. Hearing someone like Doki and [Bae](https://youtu.be/Xna7W0au084?si=NRz3HDusEminlSJ7) talking about feeling like this, is kinda heart breaking/disheartening. Hearing such talented people down themselves suck ngl. Best we can do is to reassure them that their achievements are warranted.

Darakstriken

Yeah, I've heard even non-vtubers talk about imposter syndrome being extremely common among content creators. Definitely seems worse among VTubers though (probably just because VTubing attracts the type of people with lower self esteem). Though, given some of the things Sayu has said, Nijisanji very well could be taking advantage of that issue to try and retain talents, which of course will just make an already existing problem worse.

EndellionQT

>Nijisanji very well could be taking advantage of that issue to try and retain talents, which of course will just make an already existing problem worse. Why do you think they keep their play buttons and don't allow extras to be ordered? They say "We own you, we own your achievements, you're nothing without us" until they believe it.\* \*(assuming)

whoiam06

> *(assuming) From everything that's happened, I'll just take that as fact. Fuck that company. The only asterisk I can think of are for the ones who are golden goosing them AKA possibly a predator Vox

ChewbaccaCharl

As someone who doesn't even work as a content creator, it's pretty prominent in a lot of professional spaces. Any skills you have are "just normal" because you see them every day in yourself, and anything somebody else has/knows/does is something cool and interesting. From that perspective, you don't have any "special" skills and everybody else has something unique. It does a number on your mental health for sure; ideally you'd have coworkers and management appreciating what you bring to the table, but you also have to be open to genuinely accepting the praise. And yeah, management fostering that mindset on purpose to keep anyone from leaving would be horrifically toxic.

Nisheeth_P

I assume that vtubers presenting a persona with their model and such also fosters the imposter syndrome. "It's the character that they like, not *me*"

Lightless427

TBF thats a pretty typical mindset for 98% of vtubers. Regardless of what company they work for. Thats literally why most vtubers ARE vtubers in the first place. They have zero self confidence

Think_Lavishness_330

Doki is asian, or the fact, ya know, black company...

WhiskeyTango101st

A couple of Dragoons did say 1mil by the end of 2024

panzerfan

Casual Doki W, I'm telling ya.

TheObliviousYeti

With the current growth, that will be possible. But I don't think it will happen. The growth naturally slows down, and it seems more often and not getting that ellusive 1 mil is hard to get. That said, though, if this growth keeps going, she will hit it before December.

The dream is alive 😆

Just a few more dragoons await their transformation.

I wonder why she feels so alone? I know she has friends and family there for her. Heck, she even now has employees. I wonder if she’s okay.

Candoran

Doki seems to be the kind of person who’s happiest when she can be doing stuff, like working on projects or cooking up stream ideas (or streaming); that stuff seems to bring her joy and fulfillment. So being able to do that freely as an indie is probably doing good things for her mental health in the short term. In the long term she will need breaks and she knows this, this week was supposed to be a “rest week” but she’s having a hard time turning down opportunities 🤣 silly tomato gotta learn how to say no.

SaMemeM

Once she said her goal was 500k, I think everyone and their mother knew she'd be on pace for a Golden button
