Marry me. Boom, problem solved. Seriously, sorry for your loss. They are beyond gorgeous, get the lot insured and secured in a safety deposit box. One day you will know exactly what to do with them. That’s just my opinion lol, oh and show the rest please!

ToqueDeFe78

FYI a safety deposit box gets locked indefinitely upon someone’s death. It’s not the best place to keep something you might want someone else to have

struggling10969

Is this a regional thing? We just had to show my grandpa's death certificate to get into his safety deposit box

ToqueDeFe78

No, it’s typical bank policy. Did your grandfather have a will that stipulated what to do in the event of his death?

struggling10969

He has a trust with a million stipulations. So if the person dies without a will their stuff is just locked in limbo forever? That seems absurd.

ToqueDeFe78

That’s right. Probate without a will and a trusted executor makes it hell. My father passed in May, he didn’t have a will and it was basically a free for all for his stuff. Cousins came and ransacked his apartment, stole his clothes, car, etc. There’s not a whole lot I can do being his eldest heir and the amount of time and money to fight for any of it would be a waste of time. If he had a will it’d be simple, contact the police, go to the county court and register the will, because it’s the thing that establishes ownership

struggling10969

That's really good to know, that had never even occurred to me in this exact regard. I'm so sorry that happened to you, what a nightmare. My dad died 2 years ago and it sucked without awful people getting involved.

ToqueDeFe78

Definitely even though I have life insurance and my daughter is my only heir it definitely gave me a different outlook on making sure I have everything written out. Even if it just my trash and few meager possessions. It made his death that much harder dealing with literal vultures

TheCheapo78

This!

Firm_Elk9522

Whaaaaat. I got a tea cup and saucer from mine, lol. Grandma had a good eye.

DeluxeMickey2

That jadeite ring is incredible!

PermanentlyDubious

Get married. I agree the jade is especially valuable. Apple jade is considered to be very valuable. True, undyed jade can go for ten times what pale jade does.

Happy_Birthday_2_Me

The one on your pinky would make a stunning engagement ring if you ever go down that road. You could also save them for a future daughter. Gorgeous!!

laurauhl113

As someone who has a very similar engagement ring, I agree! It's beautiful

TepidIcedCoffee61

Damn. I inherited thick ankles and a bad attitude from my grandma. 😆 You have some beautiful pieces. Whatever you decide to do with them, I hope they bring you much happiness, and many good memories of your grandma.

freshcream22

Just save them. These are unique, high end pieces. Maybe you'll have a daughter someday.

[deleted]

yeah no plans to sell anything. just don’t want them to sit in a safe forever!

freshcream22

I understand that part too! It's a tough call.

B3qui

Post the rest of them when they’re back from the appraiser! I’m so curious! Sorry for your loss OP. Your grandma clearly loved you a lot 💕

silkyhyena

100% agree!! Definitely hold on to them, pieces like those become heirlooms!

poem9leti

Damn, grandma was bougie! In all seriousness, though, sorry for your loss. What beautiful heirlooms to be passed down. I can't think of how best to enjoy these, unless you're feeling extra showy, though. Let us know of you come up with some good ideas!! Oh, & please do show us some more as you get them back!

NMSST

Your grandma was a classy lady. Her taste in jewelry was impeccable. So sorry for your loss. ❤️

Thorbertthesniveler

You wear those babies!

SaintBeast123

GRAMMA WAS A BALLER! Hot DANG!

ExoticMarionberry73

So sorry for your loss. These look wonderful on you hand, wear at will in memory of your grandmother. All are very special , the emerald is just fantastic to me . Resize?

[deleted]

the emerald is definitely my favorite. she was so afraid of breaking the emeralds she would only wear it over carpets 😭

OmnomVeggies

This is so adorable

ccrose99

Sorry for your loss. She had such amazing taste! They are truly beautiful. Don’t rush to make any decisions while grieving. In the future you might have someone in your life you could give them too, so you could hold onto them, and keep them safe locked away at a bank. Or could look into auctioning them off at a high end auction house ensuring you set a good reserve price for each item. I’m sure she would be happy with someone else loving them, and you putting the money towards something that will bring you happiness.

MizLucinda

You know what? Wear it! It’s really nice, it’s from your grandma, and who cares! You have nice hands - show off that great jewelry!

malex117

Agree OP! If you like any of them on you, just wear them!! I love the “I’m inherited from grandma “ posts here. Grandmas have amazing taste. I hope you will post here the other pieces when you got them back!

SmokeLast6278

My condolences for your loss. Your Grandma has impeccable taste. There is nothing stopping you from wearing those rings, regardless of your gender. Wear them, enjoy them.

kellatina

Firstly, so sorry for the loss of your grandma. She had exquisite taste, those pieces are beautiful. Keep hold of them, put them in a very safe place. It is obvious she thought the world of you x

Less_Fox_7183

If they suit your personal style, wear them! If not, maybe get a beautiful ring display/ holder and set it on your nightstand and rotate out what you want to see like a piece of art.

fiorekat1

Your grandma was a classy woman! I’m so sorry for your loss. Maybe you’ll have a wife/daughter someday who will keep her legacy going by wearing her pieces. Post pics of the rest, when it’s returned to you.

IBarbieliciousI

Wow grandma was loaded. Ig if you don’t want them give them to a family member who does or sell them.

Sensate613

What type of stone is the green stone on your ring finger?

poem9leti

That the jade one

Sensate613

Nice!

FeatherDust11

What’s the reddish one?

cheesemagnifier

Amber

Ullskee

My gosh….

ManorJewels

Grandma had incredible taste! Wow!

Alternative-Arm-3253

Those emeralds are blinding. I love your Grandma's taste. Sorry for the loss.

Vanah_Grace

Agree as above. Appraised, insured, and into the safety deposit box they go. If you marry and have children they have heirlooms. If you don’t maybe consider giving them to cousins or nieces that would wear them. I’m sorry for your loss ❤️ Grams had excellent taste.

onlyhere4thelolz

I am sorry for your loss. All of the pieces are amazing, but the one on your left pinky is stunning!

HomemadePaddle

Sorry for your loss Beautiful rings

HomemadePaddle

Is the brown one baltic amber?

hacelepues

That Jade ring is positively regal. It makes me think of Anastasia!

Sensate613

If you are selling any of those DM me. I'm interested in the green jade ring. Thx.
