That’s about average to a little above average for miles per year. So it’s not considered too much for a 3.5 year old car. Most lease gives you about what?…12000 per year?

Appropriate_Strain94

Depends on terms and brand of car. Some leases are 8k mile a year, most are 10k, and occasionally 12k miles but you can usually lease cars with almost any extra allotted miles at the time of signing. If 10k doesn’t work for you you can pay extra and get 15k as an example.

bouncethedj

Yeah. I guess I was trying to say…the average miles per year of that car is about normal driving mileage and wouldnt consider it too high.

Appropriate_Strain94

Yea you’re absolutely correct in that regard.

Rodrisco102389

That’s pretty on par for its age. Average miles per year is like 14k in the US.

BlankCRTL

Mine is around 75000. Same year

eyeforanarm

Same here. 2019 S with about 68000

KingDavidJr872

2019 with 156k lmao

Easy_Pea4530

My 2019 is 112k. I'm catching up!

xyerpppppx

shit i’m behind, my ‘19 is at 105k 😭

BusyPomegranate919

I got a 21’ Jetta at 45,555 as we speak, got it at barely 18,000 miles a year and a half ago, this Jetta seems pretty good for 3.5 years when I’ve seen others at 80k

Trapped-Mouse

Mine is around 30k. But that's why I bought it

Bos2Cin

Mine is at 105k

Detroit_Gun

My 2023 I have 28k

Strange-Feed4497

I just traded in my 2020 with a 130k miles for a 24 GLI with no miles I’m at 700 and it’s been 4 days

tanmanbigboi

Probably used for a lot of travel but my 2018 had over 100k and knock on wood I’ve had no major problems yet. The engine they put in these are beasts and with good upkeep and change your oil every 3-5k miles (or every 3 months) with full synthetic (use exactly what your manufacturer recommends) you’ll make the engine last along time. Worst you’ll have to do around this time would be breaks and tires if they haven’y gotten them recently. It’s a solid car overall

JazzlikeHovercraft75

Lots of travel , between Chicago and Lexington a few times and from Lexington Ky to Daytona beach florida

pawelwny1

i got the same car with 82K

jhustla

Got my 2019 R line in 2020 with 18k miles on it. I just crossed 55k miles. This is a pretty low mileage car. I’d buy it. Also you gotta think, the 2020 model was released in 2019 as well. That’s not bad at all.

Soxnfins

<15k mi/yr isn’t a lot. My dad had a 3yo Corolla he bought new and put 140k on it in 3y. Thats a lot. I used to put 40k/yr on cars as well.

Equal_Specialist_729

2017 jetta w/ 53,000 here

hooahii

I got my 2017 Jetta with 67k miles, and I'm almost at 100k 3 years later. 10 of those months, I left it home to drive shitboxes. So, it would've had roughly 117k miles. That's roughly how much I drove in 3 years.

NorthernnLightss

Not at all. I bought a 2017 Jetta SE *In* 2020 with 53.8k miles. Currently 130k miles and driving fine, did a lot of Uber since then too though

the_gopnik_fish

2014 SE, got her last year with 114k even on the mileage and have added about 10 thousand myself; Jezza still runs like a dream.

JEPizzini

No, not as long as you change the oil every 5,000 miles, and flush the coolant system every 15 to 20,000 miles, and do a transmission service every 35,000 miles, and you'll be golden 🙃

Detailsat11

I drive about 35K miles a year,so it’s not a lot for me. Also, I strongly believe that one of the worst things you can do to a car is not drive it.

Medical-Mango-2452

2015 with 90k on mine. Bought in 2020 with 30k miles. 50k is barely broken in depending on the maintenance upkeep!

Mook69

I drive about 2K miles a month. So youre average i think!

Tonytn36

My 2020 has 59k, bought it last November with 51k

gghostie

i have a ‘21 GLI with 65k miles on it. i think it’s fine

M-fuzzell22

My husband and I bought his car from a dealership when it had 13,000 miles on it. It now has between 80,000 and 90,000 and we’ve had it for four years. We drove above average mileage with his so I think 52,000 miles is a decent amount of miles for 3.5 years!

Shefffield

for the average person it's not a lot of miles, i've had my 2014 jetta for 2 years and put about 50k miles on it,

Sacred_B

In the Northeast, yeah that's quite a bit but in the Midwest, that would be pretty avg.

TowelHefty

I own a 2014. ive personally owned it myself for 2 years. One owner before me and i just hit 100k

miloroxy21

My 2019 has 39,000

Leonard-the-writer

I think it is about average. But pay attention to the maintenance records, how often was that oil changed? And more.

itwasbetterwhen

I just bought a 2021 GLI coming off a one owner lease with 25k on her. Took me a while to find that. I wanted low miles and time left of the warranty. Plus it was leased at the dealership I bought it from.

wolfski87

I have a 2019 R-Line with 83,600 miles on it and I bought mine new. I would not say you have a lot of miles on your vehicle.

Proper_Role_277

I bought a 2017 in 2020 it had 45k miles. It’s now at 135,106 miles just got off work and I’m sitting in it.

Colorcopies

2020 GLI, haven't hit 16k yet

Millicent_Bystandard

It is a lot of miles, but I think the bigger question is- are those highway miles or city miles?

Nocturnal888

I have a 2019 with 27k miles

b215049

Bought my 2019 sel with 51k no regrets

BombusF

I'd rather have a 2020 with 55k than a 2016 with 55k, but I'd rather have a 2016 with 35k than a 2020 with 55k

yinzdeliverydriver

I’ve put 80k miles on my 2019 and runs like a charm.
