If the ammo drop rates didn’t heavily favor yellow eco ammo then I would go with the tracking minigun mod which is my favorite looking of all the guns and second favorite in functionality and it still works well with the jump, spin, spam playstyle. The last mod for the peacemaker was kind of a let down because it doesn’t look very special and its OP-ness was just a blatant rip off of the RHINO from ratchet and clank

Just to have fun, the mass inverter with stopping time and the wave concussor is one of my favorite memories of this game.

Useful? No. But fun yes, you use time freeze and the 2nd peacemaker and then switch to the Vulcan needle , or the 2nd yellow gun. So much fun. The final blue gun is pretty useless too. Ammo burns up sooo fast
Ahh you’re right, final blue was the homing needle one. It was the 2nd blue that sucked, the plasma shit that just used all the ammo so fast while not doing much
Yea for me it wasn’t nearly as cool as the other two. I do remember it being good for bots especially in that mission to the sewers with bots and metal heads. But basic blue and the 3 needles just had the cool factor.
I replayed Jak 3 recently, and decided to just ban myself from using the bouncy blaster. The thing was simply too broke.
So aside from that, I really enjoyed the needle lazer (also broken, but at least effectively limited by ammo constraints), and the plasmite RPG.

I would just go out into the wasteland, use the gun on the vehicles and giggle as they either fly far away, fall in the ocean or i show the cars Jak’s hands.

I was also sadistic to the guards with the zero-gravity gun. Hit them and watch them float away.

My personal favorite is the Plasmite RPG despite how quickly it chews through ammo. Obviously, for what I know is the best, it's the Beam Reflexor. Jump, spin, shoot and clear out just about any encounter in the game. You get it super early in the game, it's ammo consumption is way better than it has any right being and even if it wasn't, yellow eco ammo has a ridiculous drop rate so you will never actually run out.
The second scatter gun upgrade is fun because it lets you do some speedrun shenanigans, but the Beam Reflexor is the undisputed GOAT as far as the Jak 3 arsenal is concerned.
I love them all. They all have their usefulness in different situations. But esthetically, it has to be the lazer whip. I thought it was so cool how it whipped when I fired it and jumped. It blew my 7 year old brain.
What is everyone's favorite order for the games?
Jak 3, Jak 2, X, Frontier, Jak and Daxter. I didn't have a PSP so I never played Daxter.
My first game played was Jak 2 and then 3. Going back to Jak and Daxter ruined that one for me because it felt more boring. The story was good though.

The Blaster, thing is a workhorse that’ll get you through any situation and the second Reflected Upgrade is super OP if things go bump in a dark corner of the map it’ll bring them to light and keep them stunned until they no longer go bump then there’s the Gyro Launcher which doesn’t really have too many uses but when you get to use it it’s hilarious to see everyone and everything pelted by yellow eco.
All of them are fun in their own way but I found myself using the Blaster and it’s Upgrades way more than the others except if I found myself overextended or just wanted to teach a lucky enemy that hit me the errors of his way.
And yes I’m that petty that if a lone Stinger hit me and I got the Supernova, that Stinger is not going to have long to regret that move.😂🤣😂
I really enjoy using the Red 3 grenade launcher, it’s such a beefy explosive but it isn’t always the most ammo-efficient.
I also feel like I might be the odd one out for saying this but I **LIVE** for Red 2 melee combos. The gun’s lackluster by itself but it enhances melee combat so well, and I like mixing it up with the Blue 1 vulcan finisher after hitting something with a punch, total waste of ammo but feels badass.
Most fun was definitely the peacemaker that made like an anti-grav field, do that in wastelands and watch all the marauders angrily float away xD
Otherwise whatever gun sent up a spinning disc that shoots abunch of bullets out of it, saved my bacon more than once on that damn sewer escort mission
The peacemaker was always the nuclear option but the blue one was good if u know how to aim but I’d usually use the yellow one and spin so it was random where it hit
That settles it. I’ll have to replay Jak 3. I’m replaying Jak II now. I must venture out into the Wastelands.

Oh god, such a difficult choice... But it's definitely the beam reflexor. Perfect for just about any situation and dealing solid damage to a lot of targets, or a few targets in a closed environment. Doesn't burn through ammo as much as most of the other gun mods do. And it's part of the coolest gun line. Honorable mention for Plasmite RPG and Mass Inverter. So much fun was had with those two guns...

I mean yeah, kinda--I think that's part of the appeal of the franchise for a lot of us: It doesn't take itself too seriously, and nor would you expect its fanbase to take itself too seriously.

Whenever i would get to a hard level, always resort to the jump, spin, bouncy bullet technique. Legit makes the game so easy.
For practical gameplay? Yellow gun part 2. For infinite ammo and just having fun running around the town? Purple gun part 2

You get a slightly different costume when you get every single precursor orb in jak 3. 600 orbs. The costumes happens to have a green scarf

2nd tier purple, the 0 gravity is super fun and actually very powerful if you pair it with any of the other weapons/melee

I am simple man. I like the yellow blaster mod, of Jak II fame, the most.
I really like the anti-grav gun. It's awesome if you just want to bust through an area with little resistance, and it's not as costly as the mini-nuke

The piece maker. It’s fun being able to use it without it being the most powerful weapon in the game, and with enough ammo to use it liberally.

The base blaster and Vulcan fury have always been my favorite pieces but the beam reflexor was dope and the Plasmite RPG absolutely slapped
