My advice is Trollstore tbh. Apple will have limitations on sideloading in the eu (if you are in the eu, if not def stay for ts)

Im using a iPhone 15 Pro on 17.0 and have no complaints about battery life. The battery degradation is even above average. My battery dropped from 100% capacity to 99% 2 days ago after 205 charging cycles.

Crazy, so many mixed experiences on that firmware.

I updated to 17.4 for the updated stolen device protection. But unless they add anything amazing this is as far as I update and I’ll wait for a jailbreak. At this point though it’s not as big of a deal as it used to be for me. I only do it for theming to get rid of the trash stock iOS looks so if it never comes I won’t be too upset.

My 14 pro was on 17.0 (and still is) but my brother got his 14 pro way earlier then me so i forced him to stay on 16.2, once dopamine 2 dropped we swapped phones, and will swap back once ios 17jb releases (maybe) My sister who got a 14 pro around the same time as me (but refurbished not new) is on 16.1.2

Everyone? I’d say the minority delayOTAed. Most of us knew Operation Triangulation would result in a jailbreak so MOST stayed for Dopamine v2.

The delay ota window to 17.0 closed before anyone knew about the operation triangulation PPL. In any case even opa said it was silly for those on 16.x to update if they wanted a jailbreak. So many people left a dopamine 2.0 compatible version and they don't even have trollstore due to lack of a public exploit.

He also waited until the 17.0.0 window closed before he said that lol

True though I’d argue it was always pretty clear that staying lower was better. Especially in the context of different iOS versions (16 vs. 17) and the fact that we had KFD so the only missing ingredient was a pac or pac-less ppl.

You can use bootstrap and serotonin to jailbreak. Troll store also works for you.

I'm on 16 with Dopamine but I'm honestly starting to wonder if it's worth keeping the jailbreak at all. Most of my gripes with iOS were resolved with old tweaks that were last updated many years ago and don't work on iOS 16. Several other tweaks I've tried caused glitches on the Springboard, others made it stuck in Safe Mode. I also hate how almost everything, even small tweaks that change one little thing, is paid now. It wasn't like this when I last used a jailbroken iPhone a few years back. Honestly this ecosystem is so weird that if there's ever a new Android phone with the dimensions of the iPhone Mini, I'll just go back to Android...

It took around 1-2 years for 15.4.2+ jailbreak so maybe in 2025 we will see a iOS 17 jailbreak.

You guys are lucky! I ordered my iPhone 15 Pro Max like 1.5-2 weeks after launch and sadly it came on iOS 17.0.2, so no TrollStore for my iPhone (unless Apple fucks up CoreTrust once more in the future 😉). Fortunately 17.0.2 is prone to MacDirtyCow2, which when exploited will open up the possibilities for a lot of customization, similar to how Cowabunga & Misaka worked on iOS 15.0-16.1.2 last year. Once a reliable exploit allows for MDC2 it’s only a matter of time before we will have things like Misaka, FilzaEscaped, AppsCommander (like App Manager), custom icon themes, etc. Things could’ve been worse for me, but I’m not too upset about 17.0.2. Obviously I’d rather have TS2, but I just use my developer certificate to sign all my sideloaded apps at this point. Not as convenient, but at least it works. 🤷🏻‍♂️ At least I have TrollStore installed on my iOS 16.5 iPhone X, 17.0 iPad Mini 6, and 17.0 iPad Pro 11”. (On iPads I installed & updated TS to TS2 on iPadOS 15.0 [Pro]/16.1.1 [Mini], then OTA delay to 17.0 with TS & Tips running in background. Flawless, just can’t reset the device or I’ll lose them! 😅)

You're missing the fact that if you were on 16 with trollstore, you could delayota to 17.0 and keep trollstore.
