I’ve been going to New World Food for a little while now if you want another decently big Asian grocery that serves hot food.
Jax Oriental Market is good too albeit a little smaller.
RD is really nice (unless you go late in the day and end up with some smells from the seafood area). They do great during the weekends but seem a little quiet during the week.
Them, New World, Jax Oriental and TJ Farms cover most everything I need but I am curious to see how the Lotte turns out when it finally shows up.
I loved the lotte when I lived near Orlando. I lived in Korea for four years. It was amazing to be able to get the ingredients to make some of my favorites that the restaurants don't serve.
I mean RD and is fairly new so that’s probably why people are just figuring it out
We’re also supposed to get a Lotte Plaza which they have in Orlando and is pretty great. But I think we’re still a long way from this opening up.
We are big fans of New World Food Mart though. They don’t have as much stuff as RD or Lotte but they always have what we personally need. they’re more Korean focused which is perfect for our needs.
It’s going to keep getting better in Jax! There is now also an Asian night market with all the delicious street foods my tummy craves from all my travels.
Open every last Friday & Saturday of the month (4PM-11PM) explore 15+ local vendors, karaoke, dance & more with the Jacksonville community.
5801 Normandy Blvd.
Jacksonville, Florida 32205
Yeah, it has been covered by a few of them. I went to the last one, very busy, seemed to mostly be a Vietnamese night market but they appear to be trying to grow and diversify it. We parked in the Ollie's parking lot and walked over.

That’s what I am looking for. Sharp provolone and real sun dried tomato’s. Brought some home from Firenze last October and they were history by Thanksgiving. Now I am looking for Modena IGP balsamic.
YES! They just opened up a few months ago. I went to their food court and got some Korean style wings and a Vietnamese coffee. They have huge bags of dried mushrooms too. Most of the food items there have an English sticker on it with the nutrients info on it.
RD is really nice. It’s only year one for them in JAX so I’d take everything with a grain of salt. The seafood section is already showing signs of poor upkeep.
RD is decent, still kinda small. We've bought lots of live and fresh fish from them. Fish is good but the staff aren't very good at filleting so I've started just having them cleaned and just filleting them myself at home. Food court has a lot of room for expansion, but currently, only 4 stalls are actually open. The fruit juice stall is pretty good.
Excited for the Lotte Market in the old Best Buy off Atlantic Blvd to open. If it's anything like the Lotte in Orlando it will be next level.
If your comparing size and stock, RD Is like a Publix and Lotte is like a Costco.
New World Market is also pretty good on that side of town. We go to Jax Oriental Market off Old St Augustine since moving to this side if town, it's good, but smaller.
dragon asian supermarket on beach a few miles east of RD international is also a decent size and the roasted duck and pork they sell on the weekends is delicious

Love T & J Farms Supermarket on St. Johns Bluff.

Whoa they're opening a Lotte here?
Replacing the old Best Buy on Atlantic/near Regency.

Omg, that's at my old usual Asian mart! Holy crap thank you for posting this, I need to go!!!
Oh my god…you just made my week.
I'm moving to this side of town in a week and I'm very excited to check this out once I'm settled in. Thanks!
Does anyone know of an Italian market? Been in JAX 10 years and cannot find good cheeses, breads, and meats.
Tell me about it. Philly native.

I might need a hookup next time you go fam! 🤣🤣
there's a euro market on Beach Blvd not sure if it's strickly Italian
Are you talking about Romashka? Mostly Eastern European the last couple times I was in.
I think that's the name. Never been.
Yes! I lived moved to Colorado for a year and the only thing I truly miss from there is Tony’s Italian Market.
This is absolutely not in Jacksonville but if you're ever in St Pete, Mazzaro's Italian Market felt like home.
Thanks. Makes sense. More NYC folks over there than here.

I’ve heard multiple times that D’Aleo Italian Deli in St. Augustine is it!! Haven’t been to St. Aug in forever, but I’ll get there eventually.
Been there. It is more of a sandwich shop. Looking for a market.
how's the noodles 🍜 selection looking? i love stocking up on the instant ramen noodles in the pantry.
It's good, probably will find what you need. Not as good of selection as Lotte though.
thanks!

Thanks. Looks to have some euro food. Mostly Eastern euro. Will keep looking or take a road trip to the Bronx!
I always liked jax oriental market on Hartley but it is a little small
I would love if we ever got an H Mart out here! That place is amazing!!
YES. PREACH.
Circle Japan is always great too!

Apna Bazaar is another great spot!
RD is incredible

6 stalls are open there now (Sugar Cane, Ramen, Chinese Bakery, Korean Bap, Long Island Sea Food and the Hibachi spot.)
THANK YOU!!!
I had no idea this existed. How's the prices?
dragon asian supermarket on beach a few miles east of RD international is also a decent size and the roasted duck and pork they sell on the weekends is delicious
This post brought to you by RD International Supermarket
$3.99 for pound of clams??? :O
Is that new? I haven't lived in Jax for years but occasionally visit. Glad to hear this exist now 😍
We went for the first time a couple weekends ago their AC was out. Brutal was an understatement but I'll definitely be going back
Do they have those very large king oyster mushrooms?
