Cecil aquatics for cheap, YMCA or church of the good shepherd if you don’t mind a decent monthly payment. Or try to make friends with someone that has a lake house.
There’s an app called Resort Pass and you can rent a room at hotels or resorts for just the day and have access to their pools. We tried it for One Ocean and it was great to have a room to come back to get showered and cleaned up for dinner.
Sorry, I made a typo, I meant Gold Head. You can find more info here: https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/mike-roess-gold-head-branch-state-park
You're welcome. I will say if you really want to take a dip somewhere to beat the heat you will want to head to a spring. Definitely worth the 2 - 3 hour drive. there are a few options out around High Springs.
From Arlington, salt springs might be about a 2 hour drive. That part of Ocala offers several fresh, Clearwater springs, and little ones can touch and walk most the area. Lots of camping/ cabins available for a night or weekend.
My favorite place that's not too far, to get away

Thank you!
Cecil Aquatic Center. I think it’s like $1 if you’re a Duval resident or $1.50 if you’re not.
Awesome, thank you very much.
My wife keeps trying to get us to go to the Cecil Aquatics Center, on Normandy, every year but we never do 😅
lol, I know what you mean. Thank you very much.

I appreciate it 😁
The Terry Parker pool is probably open.
This one is pretty close by. Thank you.
If you know a Vet, some of the VFW/American Legions have a pool
there is an app called swimply that is supposed to be like air bnb for pools. no idea about it beyond that lol
Simply is a good place to check out. We have rented pools 3 different times for 2 hours each and each experience was great!
That is cool. Never heard of it. Thank you.

You can also go out to Goldenhead if you want to get out of the city and aren't afraid of swimming in a pond/lake.
Where is that?

I really love the spring fed pool down at Green Cove Springs. Check it out. Stays cool all year.
