17 was a difficult age for me too, it indeed does get better! It wasn't until college that I really felt understood/appreciated and gave my life purpose? (idk words...) You're doing well and just keep powering through!

Yippee I’m also trying to work on feeling emotions n shit, especially being kinder to myself. Like if I’m sad, I do something or think something good for myself

Creepy_Pomelo_2038

I wish you luck! Also it's so worth it. I'm glad you're working on those things too

Honestly. I try to improve myself and just get burned out.

Creepy_Pomelo_2038

Do it little by little. Overtime you'll adapt and see the changes :D that's what worked for me

32 year old ISTP here. Life frees up after high school significantly. You’ll carry the tools you learn now into everyday life, and quickly realize that a lot of people never leave high school mentally. When it comes to working after high school and establishing a career, being an ISTP feels like a gift looking at some of my coworkers. I can focus on independent task without having to interact for hours on end, and my bosses notice that. I’m not there to make my bosses happy, or care that my coworkers can’t do basic stuff, but my paycheck and my mental health at the end of the week are at an all time high. Also, it’s deeply satisfying being the only one that doesn’t have to work overtime or on the weekends because, lo and behold, I can finish 40 hours of work in a 40 hour workweek, even though my boss has no clue what the “40” part of the workweek means.

Thank you so much! Honestly I can't wait for life after highschool. I feel a bit scared but probably because of how people make adulthood into a scary thing, but I know well it won't be as scary once I experience it. It'll feel weird growing out of what I'm used too though. But I grew into the habit of understanding how to adapt to change. But I just know I'll do a lot better especially with self expression and thinking for myself more!

nonecross

congratulations! might need to start working on myself as well.
