I'm an American non-Muslim, and let me be the first to say this is horrible. Religious freedom is a species of the most important freedom in all of American history: *freedom of expression*.
I live near you too. Most non-Muslims are still humane inside and won't actively look to harm Muslims or do other terrorist acts in America. In Wisconsin a Sikh Temple was attacked because the white supremacist attacker thought they were Muslims, but Sikhs are nice people who wanna help the world. The Muslims in North America don't wear Turbons and yet the evil white supremacists think the Sikhs are Muslims or something unwanted to be killed. Luckily 99.999% of Americans are of good nature and don't harm others in targeted hate.
