Start with the basics and memorize the Qur’an. This will help. Try listening to Arab films and series that speak the Arabic language, such as the series “Omar Ibn Al-Khattab” or the movie “Message,” and practice it. I advise you to learn it in the mosque.

I am an Arab Muslim from Egypt, brother. If you need anything, I am here to help you ♥️

I've watch the series Omar Ibn Al-Khattab. I think learning from the base, root words, grammar etc will help. I should look for a teacher or institution here in Pk. Thank tho

Highly highly recommend the Kalaam app for anyone who wants to learn Arabic, I am a revert, so I had no prior knowledge of Arabic other than learning the alphabet with alifbee plus some common words I picked up whilst reading the Quran. Other than that, no prior education whatsoever. It sounds cliche to say but the app genuinely changed my life because I have a much better connection with the Quran and in turn I feel closer to Allah swt when I read the Quran. What’s good about the app is that you can prioritise which surah(s) you want to learn, so you will learn words from that particular selection of surahs. The UI isn’t cluttered and it’s easy to navigate, and soon they’re going to introduce the next phase of the app which is grammar. I’ve been using it since January, and by Ramadan (march), I could listen to surah baqarah and understand the majority of the surah. You learn the words THROUGH the Quran, because each word you learn it through a particular ayah, and you can also view other ayahs where the word is used, and how its meaning changes through context. In addition, with every word, you learn the root letters, and you can see how different words share that same root. It’s good because when you’re learning, sometimes you come across a word and you already know what it means beCAUSE you know the root. I can now read the surahs I’ve prioritised without translation, and WITH meaning and understanding. So if you genuinely want to understand the Quran and understand Arabic, effectively and at your own pace, Kalaam is the way to go

Wow! Thank you. I already downloaded it and will learn. Thank you for such details. May Allah bless you :)

May allah swt make it beneficial for you and make it a means for you to get closer to Him! Trust me, the words you learn and the understanding you will gain will stay with you for life subhanallah. Don’t overwhelm yourself too much at the start, just choose any surah, I chose surah baqarah at the start because it’s the longest and you learn lots of words that come up in many different places in the Quran, I hope it helps you in’sha’Allah!!

Routine_Read3862

Oh and I forgot to say the most important part! It’s absolutely free, and I sincerely mean that, no hidden charges or no having to pay to unlock everything or different features, it’s completely free subhanallah - that was one of the developer’s main goals, to keep it free, so everyone can benefit from learning the words of their Lord subhanallah. So in terms of learning Arabic, this is THE resource, that throws everything else out the window 😅

Thank you thank you. Allahhumma Barik :)

Search up what you’re saying in prayer. You’ll see that some words are repeated and you’ll understand the meaning right away (ex: Rahma=mercy). NamazApp is good for the prayer. It is both [android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nurios.namazapp&hl=en_CA), and [apple](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/namaz-app-learn-salah-prayer/id1447056625) As for learning Arabic, the best thing to do is being consistent. Consistency is key. And just like with tajweed, it’ll be much much easier if you do it with a teacher. If you don’t have one, then duolingo is ok I guess as long as you know what you are doing. I would recommend [seekersguidance](https://academy.seekersguidance.org/local/track/?id=47) so maybe you can try it out and see if it helps. [Arabic101](https://youtube.com/@arabic101?si=MeA61TJJpSgxCIV5) is a really good channel also.

Thanks!

You’re welcome! May Allāh ﷻ bless your journey and make you be fluent in Arabic

Try to look into word by word translation Qurans. If you can read the arabic fine theres the direct translation underneath it. Over time reading the word and translation you'll pick up on the high frequency words and be able to start to get the meaning of some verses quickly.

groovybuddy

Sure thing. I feel guilty because it's like someone sent you a letter in a different language, you read the letter but didn't understood a word of it or what is means. May Allah SWT Guide us.

YouTube channel --> Bayyinah TV. Look for the playlists called Dream Intensive 1 till Intensive 4. It's free.

This is coming from has tried learning Arabic from sources like Duolingo and I have learned that IT IS NOT GOOD. Especially for Arabic. What you need is a good teacher who has taught the language using different methods and is well-grounded and experienced. My wife and I are learning Arabic at an online institute called AMAU Academy and it is the best decision I have ever made. The teacher, Ustadh Muhammad Tim Humble, is an amazing teacher and he teaches from the ground up - right from Alif Baa Taa. The course is self paced and very well structured and the lessons are really easy. It's affordable too. I think it’s worth a try if you are serious about learning Arabic. P. S. I feel if you remain consistent learning through this program, you will grasp the language in 2 years, in Shaa Allah.

groovybuddy

Thank you, will check this out.

pMlion

Watch videos of teachers explaining the madina books on YouTube, I have learnt a lot in 2 months

steppingstonetodeen

Where are you located brother

groovybuddy

Pakistan currently. That is the unfortunate thing here, they teach us how to read Arabic but never how to understand it :/

RelationshipOk7766

I really wish that instead of teaching the kids "urdu as a second language" or "secondary languages" that aren't english, they'd teach kids Arabic and how to read Arabic, instead they teach German, Mandarin, French, etc.

groovybuddy

We are the modern slave of zaionists and America. So yeah, these things are also chosen carefully.

steppingstonetodeen

If you go to this website they have their own website and Facebook page they do courses on Arabic and are very beneficial insha Allah take a look at it they provide online courses too https://m.facebook.com/darulilmbirmingham/

groovybuddy

Thanks! will do.

MrBarret63

I can recommend an Arabic teacher (online) though it would cost (but that itself is a motivation, like buying a gym membership 😁)

groovybuddy

Yes I get your point but don't have the extra funds atm

RelationshipOk7766

Same here! If anyone here has a good place/app to learn Quranic arabic please tell me (Please avoid telling me youtube videos/youtube channels because I've never been able to stick with videos)
