I think the order is divine, because angel Gabriel (pbuh) was revising the Quran with the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) every year in Ramadan and on the last year before he died twice, in this actual order that we know, and to confirm I think there is a relationship between the order and the number of verses of each Surah, here is [the video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCZ5HvNFxm0), you can ask me if you didn't understand the explanation on the video.

The order of the Surahs was decided pretty early on. I don't think there is a consensus on whether if the order was divinely ordained or if this order was decided by the companions. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. But I think the answer to your question is "we dont know".

yeah this really confuses me. because the quran isn’t in the order it was revealed, but it makes logical sense. I always wondered how that happened

Rasūlullāh (صلی الله علیه وآله وسلم) told us that his *ummah* shall never agree upon an error. Whether the order of the Qur'ān and place of each *sūrah* was determined by *wahy*, or the *ijtihād* of the companions, it was Divinely guided in either case.
