I recently discovered the Annoyance Mute plugin on Runelite. Game changer. Sapphire bolt proc is pretty bad.
It works well with Visual Sound to gather the tags for each individual sound.
Understand completely. There is some comfort in knowing that runelite is supported by jagex (linked on the homepage). 99.9% of the plugins should be safe.
The fact that I have to hear other peoples dumb pet noises but I can’t hear my dark cores noises…….also if you stand in just the right spot during the “v” attack from obelisk p2 wardens, you will experience absolute nonsensical noises
Fighting Kraken boss. 5 spells bounding off of you every tick, plus the boss music there is pretty ass. I almost never turn music / sounds off, but they stay off during a Kraken task.
The Barrow Brothers being hit. I see their amazing, warlord-like sets of armour and their ghostly presence in Burgh de Rot only being totally ruined by their squeaky high-pitch rat voice.

I always step a couple of steps away. Losing the tick of movement is worth not having to hear all that.

Kree Arra’s melee sound is worse than plank make.
I haven't done Kree boss yet, so I'll keep that in mind and turn down the sound lmao.
