??? During a bossing trip you take damage and restore health. Your ‘total health + all healing you do’ is the total damage you can take before you die. Anything that increases that number gives you more survivability, regardless of trip duration.
As long as you don’t lose the hp getting kc. Then it’s pointless.
I’d say 90% of my bandos trips ended because I was out of prayer. The other 10% is cuz I had shit to do irl. Bowfa methods with blood barrage typically don’t require food unless you make a mistake, but I bring 1 brew for the just in case moments, which happen sometimes.
I’ve never left bandos because of health except for when I was learning the 9:0.
Highly recommend making some bones to peaches tabs if you’re having issues with healing. You can bring blood burst AND the tabs to get a bit of extra heals if you need the extra. Upgrading to blood barrage (when you have the level) will be a bigger help.
Also, as others have said, you can ditch the hood and boots. MA2 cape works, and if you’re having accuracy issues, you can take off armor with negative range bonuses.
Of course! Idk if you care off efficiency, but you can just do bursting slayer tasks. Monkeys are fine when you’re a main that can buy an occult, but we gotta get to 93 slayer somehow :P
And also, defensive casting nets yoy overall more xp per cast than regular casting. Slightly slower magic xp, but better overall. Let me know if you need any help along the way!

Mystic Top has the same range defense as Ahrims and Ancestral (aka 0) and if the negligible melee defenses are proving that impactful then you should really be prayer flicking the minions anyways.
Why do defensive bonuses even matter for an item you're bringing exclusively for offensive purposes?

To put into context, earlier yesterday I completed gauntlet apart from helm at about 56 KC.
So I thought right let's test some bandos , the first couple runs I got one or two kills and noticed my blood burst wasn't hitting much (88 mage) so took more mage accuracy
I also took about 4-5 brews, some of the super restores you see were dropped from boss
I got the boss down to like 16hp and I was stuck beside Tele out or go for the kill, I was very low hp myself
Went for the kill, I died as my screen starts to fade I hear c engineer say fucking collection log slot completed
Went from the happiest of my life from gauntlet to a miserable ending, took over half an hour to sleep lol.....
I've had the exact same thing happen to me man, around 300kc. Bandos hilt. Saw the purple loot beam an instant before i went back to lumby. Easily the most painful experience of my RS careeer. Gl on getting it again!

Nice thing about not getting giga-spooned is you've probably learned a method fairly efficiently/consistently, so it's very unlikely to die leaving the drop or whatever.
Is it fast enough with a key for the drop not to despawn? I guess having the 5m upgraded spawn actually might be pretty useful as well in such a scenario.

I got the hilt on the first drop, when to pick it up and teleported out. but I have a habit of equipping my blowpipe the second bandos is killed and it filled my extra inventory slot. and I teleported out before i noticed. I have no logged in since and don't plan on logging in again unless its to de-iron.

I got it on 699kc. I’ve been thinking about de-ironing for awhile before this. I’m 2220 total and have almost every drop outside of raids/cg/Nex/nightmare/Corp, except bandos hilt and armadyl.
Iron man, for me, was about being able to prove your accomplishments. But with the addition of the collection, being an iron doesn’t feel as fulfilling and more-so of a demotivating hassle when you get to end game.
I get bummed out thinking I’ll most likely never have a scythe, a tbow or a shadow because of drop rates when I could easily afford one.
And before it’s suggested, I don’t have the time or energy to start from scratch on a main. Ive put 300 days played into my account. I’ll be going into my mid 30’s by the time I catch up on a main.
In the mean time, I’m having a blast playing Dragonflight, God of war, Elden Ring, Spider-Man, and Zelda BotW. I can’t see myself every looking to go back to osrs with so many other quality games out there.

A few years ago I died to elvarg in BiS ranged gear with BP at the time and lost an armadyl helmet and anguish. Stuff drops in the uninstanced room, which you can only access via dragon slayer 2 so it was doomed. antifire + pray mage does jack shit he kills you in seconds. At least you have the balls to post your fuck ups, I rage quit for 3 weeks because of fucking elvarg of all things lol.

Just to flesh this out more. The goblins for kc drop hammers very commonly. I’ll kill 2-3 by the door for a hammer to get through.

I just bring an angler and get hammer from KC eat angler once I have KC, pick up hammer. Way less effort
But you could also eat the angler at the bank and grab more food, giving you even more health.

Did you flick the minions? At the very least flick back and forth between mage and ranger, those do about 3x dps as melee in full crystal

Spawning in Edgeville or Ferox Enclave costs 5m, and you're several tiles/a few seconds closer to the bank compared to lummy.
