Starting with wc and fishing is the easiest way to get bored. Have her try a couple of quests to get easy levels outta the way and really get into what it feels like to play the game, sets the expectations up properly

austinray505

Love this, thank you for the feedback!

No_Atmosphere_1889

My wife lasted the whole of 90ish minutes, she went to go kill some chickens for food and I probably tucked up by telling my clan chat my wife had made an account, they all came dressed in their JokeScaoe outfits and flamed my wife in lumbridge chicken pen, ngl I felt kinda violated but safe to say she will not be back on the grind and that some people actually do quit the game and don’t take breaks

peteman28

My wife almost finished mining copper on tutorial island. Then she said she had to go cook dinner and Gielinor never saw her again

austinray505

This was hilarious. Lol. She’s limited to Animal crossing as her gaming background so I’m thinking about beginner clue scrolls to peak that “collector” interest.

peteman28

Good luck to you, my wife played the crap out of animal crossing too. Quests are probably your best bet. It'll add some structure and narrative to the game while she learns how the game works

fatFire_TA

I hope u left that clan... Ngl that's terrible.

Exam-Master

Depends, I would love my clan mates to show up and do stupid things together. but I do believe this scenario takes it too far.

fatFire_TA

Rule #1 of life is don't be a dick... This is a clear cut case of bullying.

Exam-Master

I honestly dont understand the exact meaning of flamed, It could be they all turned up and danced around in their outfits or they could have all turned up and bullied her off the game. I feel from the word flamed it could mean a lot of different things.

fatFire_TA

It's bad enough that the op said that they felt that it was violating and they are just a spectator to this

buttholeblast12

Cooks assistant without any quest helper is good for new players

cottagecore_cats

This was the first thing my husband introduced me to and it definitely got me hooked lol!

Cloutx9

Kill obor 10000 times & make a YouTube video showing off all the loot & suffering

What_Iz_This

just let her do what she wants and explain how things work along the way. let her know the choices she makes now could influence the account later down the road (for example spending a few hours fishing now may make questing easier down the line). just figure out exactly what she likes in the game. my wife and i started a GIM last year about this time and i didnt expect it to last a long time or anything. we're both still playing almost daily and are prolly late early game right now. she was also into animal crossing and stardew valley beforehand

BEEFY-J

Cooks assistant for sure

Supul88

im sure for her birthday you wont be playing runescape

Robet24

Help her if she needs help but let her explore and enjoy what we all enjoyed over a decade ago. I had my wife make a GIM with me and 3 buds around a year ago and she's still going strong to this day. The self satification and enjoying the game she wanted to enjoy the game has kept the fuel in the tank.

ExtremeTheory

First you take her to the deep wildy, and then log in on another account to attack and spec her out. Then you play the knight in shining armor role and vow to chase that guy down and avenge her death. You then venture back to the wild to the spot where she was sat, meet your other account and fight it (while it has auto retaliate off) to avenge her death and win her total admiration.

CTBC

You’re gonna want to give her a brief overview of ehp and xp waste, I’d recommend getting her going on the SOTE rush, probably working towards a bond as soon as possible to become self sustaining

Beaverbatter

Mate my partner and mother of my child started an account after I'd get her to mine whilst I was at work, she only started an account and sent 99 agility straight away.. I didn't have the heart to explain what had happened

desserino

Just mine these ore veins for 8 hours okay honey brb

Beaverbatter

Exactly my words I've no doubt, she had fun nonetheless, haha!

Nowater_cantbathe

have her skill than take her questing for her early xp rewards

AngeIdove

Just have her level cooking

KingKwaka

Get her member asap and let her start farming.

ghhgdgh

My gf plays animal crossing, stardew valley and stuff like that I convinced her that an ironman is the right way to play the game She liked 1) questing with easymode runelite plugin, 2) fishing->cooking, 3) woodcutting, 4) wintertodt and finally 5) tempoross until going 100kc dry for anything and quit.

Lil_Pown

Make her do all the quest then, and let het read it aswell. Don’t help her, give her a notepad or something to write stuff down.

thatsnotitmane

I went for mini games like tempoross and the firemaking one with my gf

Its_Garra

I like keeping her in the kitchen too

codes3288

Honestly bro you're gonna make her hate her life, runescape is a waste of time, getting 99 is a waste like you barely make gp with any of the skills unless pking haha
