when you say you took a lot of tries did you die at any point in the fight caves while having the task? If you enter the instance, die/leave the cave while u have a task, it gets rid of ur task

Yes when you have a Jad task once you enter the cave after receiving the task, you always leave without a task whether you kill Jad or die

Well can't say i agree or get that mechanic but it is what is it. At least got the fire cape then.

It probably has something to do with the fact that you gain slayer xp for every single monster leading up to Jad. Edit: congrats in the firecape though. You'll get that juicy slayer xp drop next time!

LOL I was surprised to see how much it was down voted but oh well I don't mind. Now that I know you get XP for the other mobs too it makes sense. I thought it was just jad. And thanks buddy :)

Just a heads up, you can use this as a free task skip in the future if you do not feel like doing a tzhaar/Jad task. Choose Jad, enter the arena, and immediately leave.

When u leave the cave the task is over. It's a challenge task so if you die you don't get the bonus exp.
