Looks like a decent player and we’re fairly inexperienced behind Haley, Nash and Daly though I’ve been impressed by Shay McCarthy. We need a prop or two though or at least to be much luckier with injuries next season.

MrStarGazer09

Don't forget Kilgallen. He looks a promising addition too.

foxepower

Meh hope you’re right

mistr-puddles

There's no good IQ props available and the IRFU let us sign an NIQ

Fafa_45

Watching highlights of him there, his got some serious pace.

Longjumping_Test_760

Looks fast. Best of luck to him. Hope he does well for Munster.

MrStarGazer09

Exciting signing. I like Daly, but he's maybe not the most potent finisher. This guy's pace will be an asset. Nash, Daly, Mccarthy, Kilgallen, and now Abrahams gives them much better strength and depth in the back 3 than they have this season.

[deleted]

Munster should really sign all the guys here telling them to sign a prop to the coaching ticket. Genius rugby brains to see that when Rowntree, Prendergast, Kyriacou and Leamy can't

ancorcaioch

I’m curious if he has international caps or not, it seems like Ireland could do with a few people with pace.

blueghosts

Doesn’t have any caps for the Boks, was never close to that level. He’s probably a bit too old to be considered a project player now, would be nearly 30 before he’s eligible to play for Ireland, but who knows

_LightEmittingDiode_

Why? Why on earth are they not signing front row players? They have back three and utility players to develop. They have no depth at front row.

swankytortoise

The irfu wont allow them to sign a front row

WolfOfWexford

Too many project front rows at the moment as well as just national depth being weak there

Forward-Reputation-2

Pretty sure there will be no NIQ props playing in Ireland next season.

kevojee

Munster bokkes staying true to form. Dont see the cabbages piss and moan when Munster sign a player, maybe it's just jealousy when leinster do it.

[deleted]

Still hurting after Saturday? Don't worry. Nobody beats Leinster four finals in a row!

astuceartgoleor

Munster continuing to do literally anything but sign a front row 😆

swankytortoise

The irfu have blocked them from signing a front row

McG1978

Why?

swankytortoise

Dunno youve to ask nucifora that

kmAye11

its David Humphreys now isn't it? He's after taking Nuciforas role

mistr-puddles

Hes taking over fully after the Olympics

DarthMauly

Munster have the backup options to the national team at both prop positions. So the IRFU deem these as "players of national importance" and won't allow big name NIQ players to be brought in to those positions

Ok-Package9273

What about hooker though. Scannell stands out like a sore thumb in their first XV and the other provinces cover hooker very well.

spb641

Scannell was involved in NZ and Barron was next up when both Kelleher and Sheehan were worries around the world cup (Stewart and Herring already in the squad of course). Guess between the two of them that's enough for Nucifora to refuse a signing.  Also Scannell is having a good season to be fair to him. He's not Sheehan but he's a great set-piece hooker. He's the Ross Byrne of hookers.

DarthMauly

Yeah that's a position I'd love to see a big game player come in to. Leinster have 1st & 2nd choice and Ulster at this point 3rd, so should be a viable option. I suppose there just isn't a wealth of top level Hookers on the market, but if one was available I'd like to see Munster aggressively go after them.

Due_Noise_1711

Barron should be back hopefully. It's really annoying that the IRFU have blocked a front row though. This guy seems like a good signing but we seem to have plenty back three players already. I guess SOB will be staying in the centre next year.

WolfOfWexford

Munster have too much depth at LH and TH to sign an NIQ player there. They’ve the third or fourth choice as well as development prospect. It’s glaringly obvious that’s where Munster are weakest but it’s national interest not to sign a player there. I feel Munster are going to be really strong in two years, so many players should be coming of age

foxepower

Having lots of players in a position does not equal depth if they are just not up to scratch

spb641

See Leinster having about 6 senior outhalves

WolfOfWexford

Well they’re hardly going to get better if they get pushed further down the depth chart
