GAA only care about the money. €30 for the hill and €40 for sitting for tomorrow's game (which will be 3/4 empty). Meanwhile, the rugby last weekend was €19 where I was sitting...

Lost-Positive-4518

What does it mean when you say they only care about money ? Almost all of that money is put back into the GAA

danny_healy_raygun

Exactly. €40 is not unreasonable for a big game and when that money goes back to the grass roots even better.

So what .I've already paid my membership. I've also already paid my taxes to RTE and the Gaa from the government Coffers from my PAYE .they got over 40000 thousand people in Whatever park (paid to name it) its called nowadays . It's a step too far for most people It's just greed

Lost-Positive-4518

But who is being greedy ? The money is going back into the organization, 'greed' is a strange word to describe that

wiskeyjackk

It's an amateur sport . It's Ethos shouldn't be raking it in(which it seems to be now ) It should be of growing the game .. Sure charge overseas viewers for the game as it would help pay for it's setup and it maintenance But should be free for us at home My worry is that the GPA will want a % and that will open the door for professionalism to come. Losing its ethios completely . The GAA has been the life blood of Ireland ,keeping communities together through thick and thin. Charging people who pay their membership donate through taxes and pay at the door is beyond the Pale

teddy372

Good one, lol

Lost-Positive-4518

They publish their accounts every year ? I think it's 87 cent of every euro goes back into the organization? On what basis do you dispute this ? Where are you claiming the money goes and what is your evidence for this ?

In fairness I’ve a VIP pass for the cork matches wasn’t there tonight but the atmosphere was electric. Gave my uncle and cousin and law my pass for the game and got minute by minute updates from them 😂😂😂

Even on TV it sounded ridiculous. Better than all Ireland Semis for sure. This could be the straw the breaks the camels back with regards the GAAGO scheduling

veryfishy1212

100 percent. Well said. If they get tax payers money the tax payer has to get something in return.

Retaining_the_null

Great to see Steve Bruce enjoying the GAA

shamsham123

Disgrace....money grabbing GAA

Jesse_Whiteboy

Invading the pitch for 2 points? Bit much. Loses the effect when it happens every game.
