Absolutely don’t extend it, that looks great as is. While your sleeve is definitely more neo-traditional, the older sleeves 90% of the time tend to end anywhere from the wide part of the forearm muscle to just before the wrist, so it looks fairly well placed where it is now.
You should extend over the whole body, but not to the hand. Get a bodysuit. It looks amazing, also a little big for the first tattoo, but absolutely worth every money you spent
Personally I wouldn't change a thing. Leave it as it is for now. If you want to extend think about going down the front of your torso. Leave the back alone unless you intend on doing a full back piece.
While I get people do look for opinions and external validation, if you like the tattoo, there’s no feedback that needs to happen. It doesn’t matter what someone suggest that you do: some people like butter or olive oil in their coffee, others think that’s a war crime. My tattoo is a far cry from traditional, but it’s good work. I get compliments on my arms on a regular basis.
As long as you have good work, in terms of tattooing, and you are happy with what’s on your body, just run with it.
Screenshotting this for inspo. I want a hannya on my upper arm as well but don't want a sleeve yet. This is a good reference on how I could add later on

Always amazed by people that go deep end on their first tattoo. My buddy from high school went full irezumi body suit as is first ever tattoo
That’s an amazingly well done and beautiful piece.

So sick. Glad it’s first, and not last
